There were open tables EVERYWHERE, but we were understanding bc they said they were short staffed. 50 minutes later, after we watched multiple large parties leave, and they claimed to still not have any tables available! The "short staff" excuse was hard to sympathize with when we watched 2 girls stand at the hostess stand the entire time we were sitting there waiting. If they are short on staff then they should make better use of the staff they have. This was not the first bad experience we've had with the service at this restaurant. Needless to say we will not be going back until we see an "under new management" being advertised. read more

Let's be honest: it's Chili's. Not really sure what people are expecting -- it's the same food/menu everywhere you go for about the same price. 5:30pm on a weekday and there's maybe about 3 other tables besides ours. That should've been the first sign for us to leave, but we stayed for the happy hour specials that only happen if you sit in the bar and the lounge. Our server was too busy talking to a coworker that was on their break to pay attention to us whatsoever. We didn't even get our drinks until 10 minutes after ordering them, and she only realized after we had to grab her attention. Mind you these were soft drinks so they didn't require any mixology skills whatsoever. The food took a long time and the pasta I ordered had basically 0 sauce, so I basically paid for noodles and undercooked grilled chicken. We recently ate dinner at our local Chili's in Anderson. The restaurant was dirty and the service was horrible. The hostess and servers looked so sloppy, especially the hostess. That person is the first impression when you walk in the door - do you really want a sloppy dressed person to greet you? It just makes me feel like the employees don't care when they don't keep the place clean and take pride in their own appearance. The food is chain resturant quality. Ribs were tasty, wet style, the sides dishes, mashed potatoes, steak fries and asparagus were seasoned well, flavorful and presented well. Cold beer served with plentiful of limes. The resturant was clean and the server was abundance of personality, however seemed to be covering many tables thereby making the service slow. They had brought out my chips and salsa, I had ate about 20 or so chips, I go to scoop and I see something that I had thought was apart of the salsa. As I lift my chip I notice that it was not salsa, but a ROACH! The manager had come over and told us "it unfortunately happens, we have had people come out here to try and get it under control. My experience today was sooo bad. I walked in with my 5 year old little girl and first was asked if I wanted to eat at the bar?!?!? Really??? Our server hpwever was freally good. I had the Buffalo Ranch Chicken sandwich and paid $1 extra for the seasoned onion rings. The chicken was dry and tasted like it had been sitting in a pan for sometime then lathered with a buffalo sauce that was mainly salt then lathered on one side with so much mayo it oozed out of the bun and the ranch on top was not much better. The 7 onion rings I paid an extra dollar for was seasoned qith lawrys season salt and paprika...needless to say i have had better at Burger King! I would give a much worse rating if the food had been bad & a kind waiter hadn't picked up the slack, which wasn't my actual waiter. My waiter was Tony. At first I thought this is going to be an awesome dinner cause we've actually been looking forward to taking the kids there, they'd never been. But Tony, Tony, Tony.... you made the night horrible! Someone else had to step in & take our drink orders because Tony walked past us 3 times without acknowledging us. Once he was near the bathrooms on his cell phone. Then he tried to act like he was upset because someone else came to take our drink order. It took him 17 mins to put in our order for fried pickles before he came back to ask us if we were ready to order. By the way he had us & 1 other table of 3. My husband had given up on ordering & went to the restroom & of course Tony finally came back. He asks if we're ready to order & I told him my husband should be right out. Tony left again. 22 mins later we get our fried pickles & he asks if we're ready to order. Our drinks are empty at this point & he didn't acknowledge it so I asked for refills for everyone. He took our order & went on his way. 11 mins later another waiter comes by & asks if we'd like refills? I told him I had asked Tony but he never came back. I look over at Tony's other table & they're looking for him also. Finally Tony comes back & gives us all refills. I had ordered an Arnold Palmer & he brought me a drink that I thought had dirt in it. Turns out it was a strawberry lemonade (which Tony took back & drank himself after I questioned it) then he brought me a plain lemonade. When our food was brought out he forgot my daughters fries, my fries, and the corn that came with mine. He told me he'd go check on it. The kind waiter came back by & asked if everything was okay. I told him what was missing & he went to go check on it. He came back with everything that was missing immediately. Tony 9 mins later came by to tell us they had just dropped fries so we would have to wait more to get them, didn't apologize or anything & tried to make it out like it was the cooks fault. Then it clicks finally with Tony that we already have the food. He asks how is everything & disappears again. We finish our meal & thank God we could pay at the table & not have to wait on Tony again. I had to walk to the bar from the bathroom are to find a waiter so I could get to go boxes. They ask me where's my waiter? Told them I didn't know I hadn't seen him for majority of our visit. So I'm only giving 3 stars because the food was good & the kind waiter who's name I wish I had gotten (tall blonde man) were the only good things about our visit. Oh & your bathrooms are absolutely appalling & not stocked. Can't say we will be visiting again anytime soon & if we do for some reason, we better not get Tony or I'm walking back out the door! Went here with my in-laws on a Sunday night. The place was busy, but not packed, so we got seated immediately. Took a few minutes for someone to come over & get our drink orders. Our waitress was really friendly & knowledgeable. My sister-in-law and I both got fajitas with extra peppers, hubby got chicken crispers & brother-in-law got a steak. When they bought out our fajitas, they were sizzling, but the peppers were still raw. Maybe a mistake on our part by ordering extra peppers, but we were both disappointed. Hubby's fries were cold and the chicken was kind of tough. Had a red velvet cake dessert shot that was yummy and SIL had the Molton Chocolate cake, which was really good too. They also have good mango iced tea. I'd probably give em another shot, but seems like all Chili's are getting poor reviews from what I've seen. read more

This place is NOT a smoke-free restaurant. They say it will be as of 3/1/14. Smoke smell wasn't noticeable and there was a non-smoking section. Ignored for a bit too long when we arrived, but our server Lisa was very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu. Oven problems kept my husband from getting his pizza but server was apologetic and offered a free salad as compensation. Chicken Enchilada soup is cream based rather than broth, but it was tasty and huge portion. Bacon Avocado Chicken Sandwich on Pretzel Roll was huge but pretty bland. Turns out the oven got fixed and hubby's Pizza showed up -- for no charge -- shortly after his burger and fries arrived. All in all service was very good, portions were more than adequate, and flavor was just average. read more

Dude Chili's is pretty rad. I've never been before and my mom and dad were like "yo wanna go to Chili's" I was like "Aight bet." I didn't really have high expectations but I will from now on. Finally came back to take our food order waited about 45 minutes for the COLD food to get to the table. For the price of the food, you'd expect it to at least be HOT. Forget about how long it took to get drink refills and never once was we ask if everything was ok or if we'd like dessert. (Not that we would have ordered anything else) Now they have a ziosk at all the tables not once was we told if it stayed on the table we would be charged a 1.99 entertainment fee. I mean come on Chili's you know if kids come in they are going to play the games. This needs to be made known. I have to say I have had horrible dining experiences but this one was the WORST.
