I love Chile Verde and keep coming back because the food is always fresh and consistently delicious. The tacos are great, and the quality is why I'm a regular customer. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the price they charged for sour cream. I was charged $3.00 for sour cream on two tacos, which is way too much. For that price, I could have bought an entire container at Food 4 Less. It shouldn't cost almost as much as a taco just for a little sour cream, that's ridiculous. This place looks better than Pollo Campero across the lot. Better reviews and better menu. I got the ten dollar two hard taco deal, chicken and shredded beef. Parking lot is hecka crowded Saturday for lunch but just walk some. Since hard shells are 4 bucks and I had to pay $1 more for a small drink cuz there were no diets available, I actually didn't save money. Live and learn. Food came out quick, tastes normal. The price is average too so it's fine. The chicken was much better than the beef which was really tough. Good overall and they fry the shells. I'd give it another shot if I had a few bucks more to spend for a real meal and happened to be in the area. Not opposed to coming back. Just don't get that 2 taco deal. You're only saving about a buck on soda in the end. The real menu items look a lot tastier. Oh and by the way good service here I've never had someone come to my table to check up on me at fast food. This isn't my first time eating at a Chili Verde location, but it is my first time eating at this one. I'm not an expert on Mexican food, but I'm having fun learning. I can't speak to this menu's authenticity, but I can say, without exception, I've enjoyed everything I've ever had from them. What really stands out he most to me about this location, and the company as I've experienced it - they're like an upstart brand that has a lot of competition, economic pressure hitting everyone, the hassles of driving a weekend afternoon to get something to eat - these guys transcend all of that by obviously and attentively caring about their customers. I've never felt in any way overlooked or shortchanged. It's as if they really value their customers. One doesn't feel like a number, or part of a lunch rush. They feel genuine. Someone else said this isn't authentic Mexican food. I don't know. The food is good. These are authentic people, though. Good people, that act like their customers are as important as their brand. I frequent this location on a regular basis. today I ordered three ground beef tacos on Monday instead of taco Tuesda. I came without my husband. the cashier got my order wrong, packed it for take out when I ordered in then turned around and told the cooks to change the order to eat in for the 'ugly' in Spanish. While I really want to give this place a good review, I got cheated! I asked for extra meat on my nachos and they didn't even bother to do it. There was barely any meat, or even cheese on them. There weren't even as many beans as before. I love the way the food taste, but I won't be going back to this one. I'm very upset. The extra meat was an extra $9 and I don't even think I got as much as I did when I ordered it before. Truth of the matter is they've shrinkflated as well. Just moved out to the area and saw this place in the Food 4 Less shopping center. Looked up the reviews and had to try it. The place itself was clean and inviting. It was pretty empty, but we stopped by around 8:20p for to-go orders, and they close at 9p. The people were friendly and answered all my questions. My hubby and I had the same thing, fiesta bowls with carne asada and a side of sour cream. The menu says it comes with corn salsa but they must've ran out. The food itself was really good, oh my gosh the avocado! It was a good amount and it was fresh. However the meat tasted like it'd been on the grill a little longer than it should. It was a little tough here and there. Still, it was good and I will definitely come back and try more of their items. Definitely recommend you give this place a try. read more

This used to be my favorite Chile Verde. The service used to be consistently great and they gave you a nice portion. Most things included chips. The service is still good but the portions are significantly smaller. I thought it was a one time thing but it was exactly the same the next time. That's so disappointing! They also completely stopped giving chips with a lot of items. You have to pay for chips now, even the ones that they used to give you for free. You would usually get one bag and now they charge you. Since it was my first time visiting, I asked the young lady behind the counter for some recommendations. She gave me 5 o 6 ideas, including her favorite, the barbacoa wet burrito. Trusting her, I went for it! Wonderful chunks of barbacoa, loaded with flavor and nice seasoning. It was tender enough to easily shred with a fork and enjoy. The sauce had a smoky flavor, with a bit of spice. It was a fantastic compliment to this delicious burrito. I was so excited to dive in that I didn't get a before picture lol.
