Fantastic experience and great haircut. I called last minute and was able to book an appointment over the phone. I am so happy I found this salon. Th staff is beyond attentive and the environment is bright and clean. They have the classic car seats for little kids and they offer tablets with entertainment for each kid. My daughter sat at the big kids seat with a booster and felt like a big girl. She got a nice wash with massage and a great simple cut. Then the hair was lightly blow dried and she got some braids and jewels on her hair. She was also given a bow and a toy! She felt very special and pampered and our stylist was fantastic...patient, friendly and funny. It has been by far the best experience at a children's salon. Definitely only coming back here. He's very good with my son and makes sure he's always comfortable and happy during and after his haircut. We are very happy with the service. If I could give 0 stars to this salon I would. My child's hair was nice and long and we asked Marisol for a trim around his ears and his neckline just to clean up his hair for his birthday party. NOTHING else. Marisol decided to disregard our ask and proceeded to use a trimmer on the back of his head and give him a buzz cut - EVEN AFTER MY WIFE ASKED HER TO STOP. To make things worse - as if she had never given a haircut, it is VERY UNEVEN and patchy (look at the picture). The middle of the back of his head is effectively BALD. I paid $50 to have my sons hair butchered and have my wife cry all day. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. LET ME SAVE YOU A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. This was an awful experience for us. We explained clearly we only wanted our son to have a trim with no more than 1 inch cut. Then they went and cut all his curls off - 5 inches of length!!! When we said no we don't want to cut that, he said "ok perfect" and that's when I realized he had no clue what we were saying. His hair was completely butchered and there was no turning back. The cut look ridiculous now and all we can do is wait 2 years again for it to grow back. How do you proceed to cut someone's hair without having a clue what they want done. And why in the world would you ever think amazing curls should be chopped off?? This was just terribly frustrating. Would not go back or recommend. read more

Was able to squeeze both my boys in a 30 minute slot before closing so I am beyond grateful. Their hair was far too long and we had an upcoming out-of-town event the next day. Staff was courteous, patient, and checked in with me before cutting to ensure it was the length I envisioned. The only downside to this location it's that it's in Midtown down the alley where LIME is. Parking here is an absolute nightmare and a parking enforcement officer's dream. I had to park in a loading dock at the back with my hazards and was constantly looking out the window to make sure my car wasn't towed. read more

While waiting, they offer parents premium coffee with a tiny cookie at no extra charge. After haircut, they give kids a take home toy. The staff was nice, the place was clean, they sanitized everything before sitting our little guy down, and best off all was the lady cutting his hair. She was very sweet and patient, you could tell she knows how to handle little kiddos. At the end, our little guy got a certificate (extra $) for his first haircut with lock of hair and a photo. Lastly, they gave a little toy car for being so well behaved. A+ experience! We loved this place. We took our 10 months old baby boy to cut his bangs here. The place is so beautiful and kid friendly. My baby loved the car chair and obviously the ipad attached to it with his favorite cartoons. He didn't cry or felt bothered at all. The owners were super friendly and our hairstylist was very good with our baby. We are definitely keep coming here for future haircuts. We actually live a little far from this salon but when I googled it saw the awesome reviews and decided to give it a try. The whole experience was very good. Happy baby. Update: third time we come to get my baby his haircut. Still a great experience. Now he is 14 months and was able to walk around and play with the toys etc. Again the owners were amazing and even though we showed up without an appointment they were able to accommodate us. I needed a place for my little one first hair cut, I found this place which had great reviews. I called to make an appointment and she had great availability, I choose a Saturday morning. It is about 3 minutes from my house, since it is located in midtown you have to find parking on the street. When you first walk in they greed you and ask for your child's name. It is perfect for kids, they have a little area where the kids could play while you wait for your child to get their hair cut, or while you wait with your other kids. Since it was my daughters first hair cut, she said that if I wanted the certificate with the picture of my daughter and a piece of her hair, it will be $5 extra dollars, I said ok since I did wanted the certificate, but I had gone to a different location with my other daughter and they didn't charge me extra for that, I just thought it was weird that they would charge extra for that. But oh well I said yes that I would paid for it. The child seats in a car or plane, they also have their own screen to keep your child entertained while they get their haircuts. Luckily my daughter was really good with the haircut, she was sitting nicely and bothered by it. The lady was really nice and she was done within 10 minutes. After she was done they take your child to a modern couch to take the picture. I will come back. read more

My three and a half year old daughter decided to make herself a crown made out of slime and her hair became a tangled mess of slime! Since it was New Year's Eve - I felt doomed already and was ready to chop my baby's hair. But finding this Children's salon was truly a miracle! Brought my son in for a haircut and was specific on wanting a light trim. The stylist assigned (not sure her name ) completely chopped my sons hair short . The end result when she slicked it back looked decent , but in its natural form looked super uneven. She went much shorter than a light trim and I was very specific !! The place itself is very clean And cute. Unfortunately I will not return due to the fact the haircut was opposite of what I asked her to do. I found "childrensalon and spa" and decided this was where I wanted to take my baby because of all of the 5 star reviews. We made an appointment with Alba who saw us right away. She took her time and even had patience when we couldn't decide what we wanted to do to his hair. You could tell that she has a lot of experience and made sure to cut little by little so that we could decide how long to leave my sons hair. Needless to say that this was an entirely different experience as opposed to the other salon. Alba will be the only one cutting his hair from now on. We took our 9-month-old to get his first haircut at the Childrensalon and spa. Even his grandparents came to witness the great event. The place is absolutely gorgeous!
