Pictures speak louder than words. This is not an $800 service. This haircut is the worst I've gotten in my entire life. The service in this salon is the worst. I understand that mistakes happen, I called the salon several times and I also messaged "the owner" I never got any resolution to my problem. I do not have any issues with paying so much for a service as long as is a great service. The color is brassy, the haircut is completely botched and basically the assistant was the one that did everything (except the foils) . He had other clients at the same time I never felt like I was getting the treatment "he says" he gives to his clients. Now I have to pay to get this fix somewhere else. I will say this again. NOBODY RETURNED MY CALLS to try to fix this matter. Don't let Instagram fool you. Please look at the picture I posted!!! Side note, he will make you sit outside in the heat (no ac) so your hair can process, my shirt was ruined with bleach and I had bleach and sweat dripping on my skin, by far the worst technique I've seen, also having to put up with people smoking outside totally gross! Came in for hair cut, I was on time for my appointment w Gabriel - he cut my hair and put me in someone else chair for the blow out w/out even asking me if I was ok with that. (My appoints was w Gabriel) mind you he was blowing out someone's hair when I initially arrived and while o was getting my hair washed. Hair cut was just ok and the blow out was not even as good I the one I do on myself. But the worst part and the reason for the one star was the gossipy employees. He was super sweet, funny, and his techniques were phenomenal. I could tell he was 100% focused on my hair and did exactly what I showed him as an example, possibly even better. The highlights look beautifully blended throughout my hair which was one of my biggest fears of not accomplishing. DO YOU LIKE FRIED HAIR? THEN COME TO THIS SALON! **EMPLOYEES ARE NOT TRAINED PROPERLY I came in for a Cellulas Madres treatment which kind of works like Keratina, I told them that I had previously bleached my hair a lot and was careful to not apply much heat on my hair because I don't want to further damage it. After applying a cream, leaving it in for about an hour and then washing it off, the lady doing my hair began to blow dry it without brushing my hair at all, creating tons of knots, to which she decided the best way to brush out my hair was ripping a comb from the roots to tips of MY DAMP HAIR. This hurt like hell and she wouldn't stop unless I looked at her like she was insane and loudly said "ow!" In her chair. The worst part is she didn't even dry my hair fully, and continued to FLAT IRON MY DAMP HAIR. How does a professional: 1) brush wet hair from roots to tip forcing the knots out, breaking my hair 2) fails to properly blow dry some damn hair 3) flat irons DAMP hair When I got out my hair looked nice but running my hands through it, the tips of my hair were CRISPY. LIKE SOME DAMN CHICKEN TENDERS. DO NOT DO YOUR HAIR HERE SAVE UR SCALP SIDENOTE: Both employees that I spoke to during the consultation failed to inform me that the treatment I chose would alter my hair color. I went to my regular stylist to tell her what happened and she said during the training for this treatment I chose, THE STYLISTS ARE REQUIRED TO TELL THE CLIENT THAT THE PRODUCT ALTERS YOUR HAIR COLOR! What I like the most about Gaby is that, not only he's amazing coloring but, he's also amazing cutting and styling hair. The sign outside "$30 Mani-Pedi" brought me to this salon.... I was greeted by the owner's mom, who was soo pleasant and offered drinks (coffee, water etc) and coffee. The owner, Gabriel Samra, AKA "el mago de la belleza" (the beauty magician), has his own TV segment on telemundo, in the morning show "levantate". He was on site and he was also very nice and helpful. Amaya, Nail Technician, was GREAT! She did a wonderful job! The Salon opened about a month ago... I am a huge fan of this place! It is not too often where you and your wife can share a hair place. I was very skeptical but my Meesh suggested i go with her one day to try something new. Kicking and screaming i was brought in because i was used to going to my SUpercuts or Hair Cuttery religiously. After my cafecito and a little faith i was beyond happy with the new cut! I nice take on my usual cut but with something new. Now since i work for a bank i can't get all crazy and thats good. A very nice clean cut look for me and from now on this is my regular place. Everyone was super friendly!!! I loved it! The coffee another Yelper wrote about really was really really good. The stylist available was Raul and he was great. I only had a trim but since I have curly hair I find it difficult to find someone that does it even and at the right length. I saw what the other ladies looked like after they dyed their hair or did a hair style.... And i was stunned....WOW. I have already recommended this place to my friends. Unfortunately I'm giving this place three stars cause I'm so unhappy with my Mani-pedi. The sign outside and the website say $30 Mani-pedi's but be warned this is only for days Monday -Wednesday and when you call for an appointment they don't tell you it's no longer $30 starting Thursday. I'm glad other people had a good experience, but I will never go back. I never write reviews but I have to caution anyone who wants a bob haircut. I asked for a short bob and even though everyone was nice, Manny did not cut my ends evenly. All he did was cut straight across without any sort of layering at the ends to style it. I had to go back and Harold fixed one of the mistakes on my ends but kept making excuses saying it was minimal and it was because parts of my hair were still wet (it wasn't wet, it was dry). He seemed to be annoyed by me even though I was extremely polite. I asked if he could layer it a little at the ends to make it look better and he said no because it was too short. Now, the next day, I'm looking at it and it is totally uneven and it's all over the place, so I'm going to have to make an appointment elsewhere to get it fixed. Never going back. Update: Gabriel spoke to me personally, apologized, and was very kind and professional, and offered to rectify the situation. I very much appreciated it. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I only came to this place because it was close to my apartment and I was looking for a new salon. I got a haircut with Manny which was fine. They rushed me to get my hair washed without even looking at my hair before wetting it to see how it is naturally. Then I got THE WORST manicure by Lorena. I'm assuming she came in late therefore she was rushing through my manicure. She cut my finger and the the gel manicure paint job she did was CRAP. I will NEVER come here again. Save your time and money. They treat their business like a factory instead of a place to pamper people. NEVER EVER AGAIN. I read the good reviews before going in 3 weeks ago for my first haircut here. I had an appointment set with Manuel. I now see the good reviews all mention Gabriel. At first glance the salon is beautiful and clean, I was quickly attended by Manuel. As I introduced myself in the front of the salon, he's asking me about my hair. I tell him I want long layers on a shoulder length cut and shorter hair around my face. I showed him a few pictures. I expected him to ask about my routine, how I like to style it, which way my hair naturally parts, etc. He did not ask me anything else. He sat me down with a lady so that she would wash my hair (I now assume Manuel doesn't do this part) but the lady kept complaining to me and telling me that she had a client waiting and she could not believe Manuel didn't wash me himself!!! I began to feel nervous. He sat me down, didn't ask me any further questions about my hair as I expected since and began to chop off hair while having a full blown conversation with another employee. Both Manuel and the other speaking about what a long day they had and how much they want to go home and drink. (Talk about feeling "pampered".) I'll leave you with why I'm writing this weeks after my hair cut.. I STILL HATE IT. He gave me a long bob blunt cut. I asked him twice if he was going to add layers and frame my face like I asked. She said my hair wouldn't look good like that. (I'm Hispanic, have wavy hair, not sure what he was referring to.) I felt so uncomfortable I went through with the blow dry, proceeded to pay and left. Also, take note, they DO NOT accept the 10% coupon as listed on the yelp page. The lady at the counter looked at me with a discussed face when I showed her the promo, told me it was incorrect, asked me how I found it and then proceeded to tell me they don't know how it ended up there. All in all, yes this is a rant BUT I kept looking across the room at a lady who was getting hair and makeup done and she looked unhappy as well. I guess people at this salon don't like to work after 4PM. I will not be returning here. The staff is loud, obnoxious and do not care about their clients.
