I waited for about two minutes then was seated at the chair where Taryn asked me about what I wanted. I showed her pictures for reference and she gave me her input. After consulting, she got to work! We did a red balayage, cut & blow dry. See video for hair transformation!! They made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way and in the end I loved my results!! Price is average. I paid about $400 with tip. Great salon to get your hair transformed!

Unprofessional. My "stylist" Patricia after 11 years decides she no longer wants to do my hair. I…read moretried to get an explanation as to why. She wouldn't answer my texts. She wouldn't see me in person. She called from the salon late in afternoon. It was very noisy in background and she was speaking FAST. I could only hear something about negativity. I have moderate to severe hearing loss coupled with severe tinnitus. She wouldn't let me say anything as she spoke so fast. I managed to ask her not to put words in my mouth, which she rejected and kept uttering words I could barely hear. I had wanted to originally speak to her about the color of my hair she did a full hilight on. There was no way she would speak to me. When I asked her if she would see me one last time, she said she didn't want to "touch my head" I have never complained about her in 11 years. I've been going to her every 7or 8 weeks consistently. I even wrote the owner of the salon Taryn. Her response back was only that she has the right to choose who she wants to service. I get that. She neglected to address that I couldn't hear/understand WHY?! Very unprofessional in my opinion. Thankfully I have found someone who actually gave my hair some style, nice color and way less expensive. I had no idea my type of hair could be styled in any other way than she had for all those years. My new stylist has 30 years of experience, so maybe that's what made the difference. This unprofessional "break up" was a blessing in disguise.

Once I arrived, Gen (my stylist/owner) and I discussed all the different routes we could go and what would be better for my lifestyle and how regularly I planned to upkeep. It was a long process (highlights, toner, color, cut, blow dry), but she was extremely gracious and kind throughout. I even asked if we could take some length off, which was way more than the trim I originally asked for and she was very accommodating. The end result was amazing - exactly what I wanted and a true testament to her coloring expertise as my hair is now so dimensional and fun! I felt well taken care of and the vibe here is awesome (chic decor and amazing music playlist). The stylists are truly incredible, as they really care about what they're doing and making sure their clients look and feel their best. It's located in a shopping center right on Bird Road, so there's parking available right out front. Will definitely be coming back!

She listened to all of my concerns and brought my "novela hair" back to life! I haven't seen my hair look this good or healthy in 10 years. The vibe of the employees and the place itself is so me (the decor and funny/sarcastic little decorative sayings-well, it felt like home). They have gained one new and long time customer & will recommend to all of my friends.

I was given a groupon as a Christmas gift for a Botox hair treatment at this Salon... thanks mom…read morefor telling me my hair needed some TLC... to my surprise the treatment was not bad at all. Let me begin by saying that I am extremely picky with hair products, styling and treatments, I've had a couple bad experiences that were enough to put me off of any salon at all, but seeing as she had already purchased the groupon I took the chance. Upon calling, the owner didn't speak English, but tried to work with me on making an appt. I was able to get something for the following week which was great. I went in on a Thursday evening at 6pm and was greeted by a nice woman who would be doing my hair. The salon itself was empty, there was only one other person there doing their nails, but it had plenty of room between stations and about 3-4 hair stations and 3-4 nail stations so that's a good sign. I can judge much on the treatment as It was my first one and I really don't have anything to compare it to, but it was an easy process, not too time consuming and the woman working on my hair definitely took her time and gave my hair the attention it needed. I love how my hair came out upon leaving so I will probably be back for another treatment. My only concern with going back for other services is that my Spanish is pretty awful and it seemed that the only Employees there that evening spoke only Spanish. I wouldn't want a miscommunication when trying other services, aside from that, give this place a try. It seems well worth it!

Can this woman be any cooler or more awesome? I always look forward to my haircuts with Annette!…read moreShe's incredibly kind, truly listens to what you have in mind, and is an absolute queen when it comes to short haircuts. She also recommends products that are actually good for your hair--and in my case, they've made a real difference. I found Annette right after having my daughter, when I was dealing with postpartum hair loss. I had really long hair at the time, and she gave me the perfect bob--a much-needed change that felt both refreshing and empowering. Beyond her skills, Annette has built an amazing team at Luxe. The salon has a fantastic ambiance, and I love that she continuously provides training for her staff to keep them learning and improving. Overall, every visit is a great experience. Highly recommend!

I recently visited Luxe for a haircut with Mel and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be…read moredesired. The cut itself was decent--I'd give it a 6 out of 10. However, it felt a bit rushed and choppy, especially in the back, and not exactly in line with the alternative style I've worn for the past 20 years. What really made the experience uncomfortable, though, was the attitude of the stylist. From the beginning, her demeanor felt standoffish and dismissive. When my neurodivergent son asked if he could take a picture of me, she responded with a half-hearted, almost annoyed tone. Body language and tone matter--especially in a setting where people are vulnerable and trusting you with something as personal as their hair. At one point, when I was unsure about a style choice, she said something along the lines of, "Well, you tell me, I don't know you," and later added, "If it's too short, it's kind of your fault." These kinds of sarcastic remarks might be passed off as banter, but they didn't feel professional--especially when I was genuinely trying to communicate and collaborate on my haircut. To make matters worse, I overheard her making a dismissive comment about another client who had booked earlier in the week. It just added to a sense that she wasn't fully present or appreciative of her work. On the upside, Natalie, who washed my hair, was kind and engaging. She was one of the few highlights of the visit--warm, attentive, and clearly cared about what she was doing. The general vibe of the salon was a 5.5 out of 10. I had been told it was "Mimosa Saturdays" when I booked, but when I asked about drinks, no one mentioned it. I let it go, but it was another small way in which the experience didn't quite match expectations. Another point worth mentioning: the stylist had said she was going to do a dry cut, but instead used thinning shears on wet hair, which isn't quite the same. I've had true dry cuts before, and this didn't feel like one. She also left a lot of loose hair on my shirt and didn't even bother blow-drying the front--small details, but they add up. Haircuts are vulnerable moments. For many of us, especially those who choose alternative styles, it's more than just trimming ends--it's about expression, identity, and trust. I really hope this salon reflects on how they hold space for their clients. A little more mindfulness and professionalism would go a long way.
