No you are mistaken there are plenty of experienced hair dresser that know what they are doing. Plus prices are a lot more reasonable than other places. After visiting this location I meant with Paulina and ever since I've been seeing her for hair she honest with me about what is realistic to do to my hair and what not. I appreciate Paulina for her expert opinion. I've tried other hair dressers but I prefer and love the treatment and customer service I receive mostly with Paulina for she is great at what she does. I went in this morning for a cut of just my ends, I explicitly told the stylist I prefer wearing my hair picked up and she completely ignored everything I had to say. Now I have to use hair clips to be able to keep the same style. Also why did she feel the need to tell me I should do something with my eyebrows when I didn't ask her opinion?! 0 stars if I could!!!! I would not recommend this location. For reference, I have blonde, long extensions and I get blowouts often. The stylist that did my hair does not appear to have any experience with extensions. The technique she used to brush my hair was quite painful. Even though the temperature of the hairdryer was so high that it would singe my scalp, I still had to go back into the store after I'd already left because I realized that my extensions were still wet. I also had to ask the stylist to soften her brushing numerous times to no avail. I requested a bouncy blowout instead got straight hair with minimal volume that felt dry and loaded up with heat protectant. She also decided to begin washing my hair and then take a kids haircut appointment before drying my hair. Not to mention, that current renovations caused the salon to smell unpleasant. They need to get their appointments/walk-in system in order. Fortunately we arrived and my mom only had to wait 5 minutes to be taken care of. There were 3 stylists on duty - Paulina, Daniel and a Puerto Rican girl. But as people kept walking in and the girl didn't know if to assist the lady that had been waiting to be attended or to help the lady on the waiting list. The customers looked so confused. Like asking themselves "So are you going to take care of me before closing or not?" They need a better system. read more

Went to this location for a hair cut. The stylist, Lupe, was great. However, I witnessed a reprehensible incident with the Manager, Elsira. While I was waiting and Lupe was checking out another customer, she yelled at Lupe for cancelling "her appointment". Lupe apologized while continuing to check out her guest. Elsira then made a point of walking over to the customer whose appointment was cancelled to tell him "your appointment was cancelled by Lupe". This behavior by a "manager" is absolutely unacceptable. This woman should be fired. You don't reprimand an employee in such a manner ,publicly embarrassing her. I have witnessed this same manager be rude before but today was over the top. As much as I may like the work Lupe does, I will not patronize a business that allows a member of management to behave as this woman does. Our master stylist was Kristine. Out of respect, I did not mention her name in my previous review. I recently submitted an updated valid review and she reached out to me via Yelp. Then she had the audacity to flag my review. I will be escalating this matter to the BBB and to her managers. In our opinion, her behavior is petty and unprofessional. We thought she was nice but we were surely mistaken. The same individual that flagged my tips as well. Please be advised that if you post any tip that is not positive, Kristine will flag it which speaks volumes. Also, she continues to delete my photos. Called in for a last minute wash/blow-dry, they told me to come in, i didn't even wait a minute before Jenny called me in. I asked her for waves and i love them, she did a wonderful job and i was only there for less than an hour, mind you i have extra long and very thick hair. What can I say you get what you pay for. I got my hair cut Wednesday afternoon and the experience wasn't terrible or good it was meh. Lets just start with the stylist who was cutting my hair; very rough with her hands... I have piercings on my ears and like every other hair salon I go to they check and make sure not to go crazy around my ears. Well she did quite the opposite she almost pulled out my earring with the comb and then proceeding to say "stop being dramatic"... like ouch its a piercing of course its going to hurt. Lets go on to the hair cut; I just asked to level out my hair to make it all straight/even and she couldn't even do that. When she "finished" with my hair she had it all over the place and not brushed so when I proceeded to ask for the brush to see if it was even she got annoyed and wah lahh... the right side of my hair was longer than my left. I had to then tell her to fix it because again.. HOW HARD IS IT TO CUT ONE INCH OFF AND IT TO BE A STRAIGHT LINE. I don't want to blast the stylist because shes an older lady but Hair Cuttery retrain your people. In the end.. when I got home I had to fix my hair again because it still wasn't even. I'll much rather pay a pretty penny and know my hair is in good hands than ever come here again. read more

We called the store around 3:45pm since we wanted our 20 month old son to get a hair cut, we mentioned his age to make sure that you could service someone his age. We were reassured that Ivonne would take care of us since she was just finishing with another guest. We arrived and we were told to sit towards the back of the store. We waited for an entire hour and we witnessed other guest getting service even when we had arrived before them and we had an appointment at 4pm. We were absolutely discriminated by the staff as they clearly prioritized helping adult customers versus helping my son. I have never felt this level of disrespect and disregard in my entire life, none of the staff cared or apologized. After 1 hour waiting and seeing 3 people get ahead of us I had enough. I did not want to write this review but I am honestly so disappointed with my haircut that I have to. I went there excited for a new change and instead left the salon so disappointed and crying. Before we had started, I explained to the stylist the type of haircut I wanted and I emphasize more than 5 times how I did not want my haircut to be above my shoulders as my hair is thick and heavy. I thought she understood this, but clearly not. I took my glasses off as she had told me to therefore, I did not realize how much she had actually cut until she told me to get up so she can cut. I was suppose to get a blow dry but once I had felt how much of my hair she had cut, I just wanted to leave and cry. The stylist couldn't even acknowledge the fact that she did the opposite of what I asked for which only made it worse.
