I've been coming here for 3 yrs now. Miguel is amazing. I'm very picky about my hair and he absolutely nailed it. The color is perfectly blended, the tone is exactly what I wanted and my hair looks healthy every time. Vibes are high. He's reasonably priced, professional, talented and really listens. I get so many compliments and I wouldn't trust my hair with anyone else. Highly recommend Miguel at Studio MDH. read more

I rarely leave reviews, but felt like I wanted to share my experience. I booked an appointment for a balayage with a stylist I had never seen before, but I had followed her work online for quite some time and felt confident based on what I had seen. I came in with multiple inspiration photos, including photos of work done by another stylist at the same salon. My goal was a beige blonde/bronde. I specifically explained that I did not want an icy platinum blonde, but I also did not want to be darker, brunette, or overly warm. I was already very blonde (approximately a level 9/10), and all I wanted was my roots blended and my color refreshed. Unfortunately, the appointment quickly went in a different direction. My hair was toned multiple times throughout the service because the color kept coming out differently than what I had requested. After each toner, the result would be either too silver, too ashy, too warm, or simply not the tone shown in my inspiration photos. I spent the entire day at the salon, from 10 a.m. until late afternoon, feeling more defeated each time the color was adjusted. Eventually, I agreed to leave with the final result because I felt that continuing to tone my hair was not getting us any closer to the look I wanted. I paid $580 for the service and left with hair that was much more honey-golden than the beige blonde I had requested. Over the weekend, I was extremely unhappy with the color and reached out to the salon to ask if I could come back for a toner adjustment. To their credit, they were accommodating and invited me back. I even contacted my previous stylist, who had successfully achieved the blonde color I loved, and asked what toner formulas he typically used so I could provide more guidance. (Redken shades 9n & 10p). During the correction appointment, I told her the shades my previous stylist used and she agreed to use them. My hair was toned again, but the result came out even darker than before. The stylist agreed it was too dark and decided to tone it again adding more shade "10p to make it cooler" At that point, my hair had been toned approximately five or six times between both appointments. While the stylist remained kind and professional throughout the process, I became increasingly concerned about the condition of my hair and felt that we were moving further away from my goal rather than closer to it. When she showed me the final result and offered to continue toning, I declined. I knew that no matter how many more toners we tried, we simply were not achieving the color I had originally requested. I left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and honestly emotional. I went in as a bright blonde wanting a blended balayage and left with hair that felt much darker, duller, and more brunette than I have ever worn. I want to emphasize that the stylist was very kind, and I do not believe there was any bad intention. However, after several attempts that were clearly not producing the desired result, I wish there had been more collaboration, consultation with another stylist, or a different approach taken. Sometimes asking for a second opinion can make a huge difference. The most disappointing part is not just the money, although $580 is a significant investment. It's the fact that I left without the result I requested despite providing clear inspiration photos and detailed explanations from the beginning. Hair services are expensive, and many people save for months to treat themselves. When spending that amount of money, clients should feel confident, heard, and leave with a result that closely reflects what was discussed during the consultation. I am sharing my experience not to be hurtful, but to provide honest feedback. I am posting some pictures. The first two pictures is what she kept toning my hair color to be. The third picture is what I finally left my hair color to be because it was already 5/6 times she had tried to tone my hair to get me to the fourth picture which is the inspiration photo I showed her. And the last two photos is what my hair looked like going in to the salon from the start, I was already kinda blondeish and just wanted to refresh my balayage and move it up to my roots. read more

I've had an amazing experience so far! From the detailed booking process, to the ease of finding the salon. They are far west but I love that I don't have to fight for paid parking! The studio is clean and pretty. I've only gone for a consultation with Aly thus far, but she fixed my botched bangs super fast and left me feeling more confident! I can't wait to go back for my color appointment! read more

This is one of the best salons I've ever been to. My hairstylist was Kiara (Kiki) and she did such a great job. She asked me a ton of questions and really cared about what type of style and hair I wanted. I am beyond thrilled with how my hair turned out and have gotten so many compliments. She also recommended many products to use with my hair that I can buy to help moisturize and strengthen. read more

He also made sure to protect the integrity of my hair... after a full day of bleaching & coloring, my hair still was soft and healthy! I have never been happier leaving a hair salon and I will absolutely be returning to Josh for all of my future appointments!! read more

Amazing team working to satisfy and complete work to the best of possibilities. Great customer service and experience.

I don't leave reviews, but I felt it was essential to share my experience so others don't waste their time or money. Unfortunately, my experience at MDH was really disappointing. I went in fooled by their perfectly curated social media but what you see online does not reflect the quality of work or environment in person. I overlooked the negative reviews because I was impressed with their social media, but they were all accurate. The salon is unwelcoming and the stylist are ego-driven, it was clear from the moment I walked in that not all clients are treated equally. My hair didn't turn out even close to the inspo picture I shared, I left unhappy and reached out within a week for them to correct it. They were unwilling to take me! I was shocked by the lack of care and professionalism. Their priority is maintaining an image that they perfectly show on social media, not providing clients with respect. If you're looking for service and talent that matches the hype, I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

I've been doing my hair at Studio MDH since 2014 and I don't think I'd ever switch to any other salon. My hair stylist Miguel - a hair god with the most angelic personality - has worked wonders on my hair! From blonde, to brown and long, to short... He's done it all for me and has always left me looking/feeling amazing! I'm not sure if he is currently taking new clients, but I could confidently say, the entire team is spectacular. Olga, Josh Jenny... all so fabulous! The place is located in a small shopping area right on flagler by a Sedanos. But don't let that little spot fool you, inside it's marble floors and modern vibes. From the chill music they play, to Boris passing out cafecito shots as you're getting your hair done, all in all I wouldn't trade this place for anywhere else. read more

I was really disappointed with the booking process at this salon. Before you can even schedule an appointment, you're required to upload a photo. On the form, you're asked to choose who you'd like to see--I selected Miguel. Shortly after, I was told he wasn't available. I asked to be booked as far out as necessary just to see him, but then I was informed that he would never be available and that I could not book with him at all. At that point, they started pushing me to book with someone else I didn't request. Only then did they mention that Miguel only works on "special projects"--a detail that was never disclosed upfront. The whole process felt misleading and left me questioning whether my photo influenced their decision. There was no transparency, and it raised serious concerns about fairness. Because of this experience, I will not be going to this salon. read more

I've heard excellent things about this salon and was excited to book an appointment while I'm in town. Unfortunately, I've been trying to get in contact with the salon for over a week. No one answers my call, sometimes the phone goes straight to voicemail even during business hours. I've left two voicemails and have also tried contacting them via text (another option they offer) but have had no luck. I really wanted to book with this salon but it's such a shame they're being unresponsive. I'm well aware of their pricings and was willing to make the spend here anyway, but truth be told this service is not racking up to that. read more

I've been coming to this salon since 2020, and always had a pleasant experience till today when I went to get a root touch up, I booked the appointment 4 weeks ago with the lady who's been doing my hair for years now. When I arrived to my appointment they try to get the assistant to do my root touch up, when I booked the appointment no one told me that the assistant would be doing my hair, never asked if I was ok with that, mind you the touch is $60.00 plus tip, if an assistant is going to do my hair there is no way I'm paying full price. I have a lot of hair and a lot of grays. Salon is ok just beware they like to brush off there regular clients to the assistant read more

I am incredibly disappointed with the poor service I received. I went in today for a relaxing hair treatment that I loved when I had it done a year ago. This time, however, a new person applied the product, and I could tell she was sloppy and didn't apply it evenly from the roots to the ends. I expressed my concerns during the application, but no one addressed them. At the end of my treatment, my hair was completely frizzy with patches of straightness and frizziness. I called to speak with the manager, Michelle, who suggested I come back in so they could take a look. I explained that I live hours away and a quick visit would mean a 4.5-hour round trip. Michelle simply said that was her solution. When I asked to speak with the owner, she told me the owner does not speak to customers. The service was incredibly poor, and I am very unhappy with the resolution offered. I would definitely not recommend this place. read more

I've truly had an amazing experience at MDH Studio. Everyone is super friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Joshua is my stylist and the level of talent is unreal. I'm very picky with my hair, that may be due to the fact that I've never really had a good salon experience and everytime I've gone to a salon I've left absolutely hating my hair and not getting what I wanted or asked for. But when I found MDH Studio all of that changed. They deserve all the hype and success read more

After almost 6 months waiting for my appointment and even having confirmed it int he morning of the day before, they send me a text stating that Miguel had downsized his client list and I had to choose among the other hairstylists.....I called the guy and explained him that I have been going with Miguel for 4 consecutive years but last year I got into an argument with the receptionist they had and she would not pick up my calls. However, deciding that Miguel was not doing my hair a day before my appointment was very unfair and unprofessional, his words were..."well I dont have an answer for that" to everything I asked him, I do agree that Miguel is really good and I love his work but being treated like one in a pile is really disgusting coming from a salon with such a reputation. I am not coming back or recommending this salon to anyone anymore. read more

Definitely will recommend Studio MDH. Very happy with the service, the atmosphere, and my stylist. This was my first time dying my hair so I was very hesitant. The receptionist, Boris, was very helpful in scheduling my appointment and with answering any questions. MICHELLE, my stylist, is truly the best! She took her time with my hair and it came out beautiful. She was so sweet and such a professional- you could tell she loves what she does! The salon itself is unlike any other I've been to- it has a calm energy, doesn't hair all over the floor, and no loud hairdressers. It's very clean, quiet and everyone is busy working on their clients. Overall I had an amazing experience and would recommend this salon to anybody and everybody. read more

My girlfriend has been dying to go to StudioMDH ever since she saw Miguels TikTok videos, it was all she could talk about so I surprised her with an apt for her birthday. The front desk service was impeccable, and the staff was incredibly friendly, once I made the apt online I called ahead and they helped me coordinate everything without her knowing a thing. What stood out the most was the exceptional service provided by Miguel. Not only did he do an excellent job with the hair, but he also went above and beyond to make my girlfriend feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. My girlfriend is usually a bit shy and apprehensive about going to a hair salon, but Miguel's professionalism and ability to explain the process made her feel like he was just another friend who is there to make her feel beautiful. She left the salon feeling not only beautiful but also with a newfound confidence. I highly recommend StudioMDH for their top-notch service and the wonderful atmosphere they provide. Kudos to Miguel and the entire team for making it a truly enjoyable experience! read more

Miguel was born with supernatural hair talents because JEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZ every hair style is a masterpiece to say the least. I saw Miguel in attempts to go from my virgin black hair, to electric blue (yesssss, my entire head needed to be bleached). I was hesitant in booking since I knew my hair would probably be pretty damaged... WRONG! As I said before, Miguel's talents proved this to be A WALK IN THE PARK. My hair was shining, the color was electric, the length and style came out perfect. Overall I was beyond thrilled with the end result and I'm happy I went to someone with genuine care for the health of my hair. S/O miguel. u a real one read more

Olga has been my hair stylist for a few years now and I never leave disappointed. She's a true artist and i honestly can't recommend her enough!! Miguel and Josh are amazing as well and Kiki & Cami are the sweetest!! The entire staff always compliments you, makes you feel at home and their service is amazing. You need a hype team? Make an appt at MDH. The negative reviews are comical because I've never had a poor experience with them. Their products are NOT cheap, some of them you can't even purchase at a store. Complaining because an assistant is working on you to assist with a root touchup, or because they've been asked to assist with removing foils so the stylist can begin coloring another client says more about you than it does the salon. One of the things I appreciate the most is that the stylists take their time to mentor students. Kiki started off as one of the assistants & is now a junior stylist at the salon with her own clientele. They support these kids who's goal is to make it in the industry and Miguel has done such an incredible job at making sure those who really want a chance at success work their asses off to earn a seat at the MDH table. Them being booked months in advance speaks volumes about their craft. Having multiple clients at a time speaks volumes about their craft. If you prefer to have an appointment where it's just you and the stylist, then book with someone who will surely charge you more because they have to pay their rent at a private salon suite. I love MDH & highly recommend them to everyone I know! read more

I was not impressed with my experience at all! The stylist left me at the washing bowl with bleach in my hair while she took another client. She had the assistant "supposedly" looking after me but kept forgetting about me and then was providing feedback right in front of me! The owner walks around a little stuck up. :/ Seems as though his only concerned about giving good service to influencers. read more

I don;t recommend this place at all. They use cheap products that damage your hair and they way over charge you for their services. The photos that they put in their publicity don't match the service. They take advantage and abuse you once you are in their place. They ask a non refundable deposit of 150 for just making an appointment and once you are there they charge you a lot more. I ended to pay 800 dollars for a bad bad service. Please don't go. They know what they are doing and to protect them they write their policy and prices on their website. Not recommend this place, be careful. read more
