The salons exterior was not hard to miss, considering there were many photos of women with different hair styles plastered on the entrance windows. As we walked in, we were greeted by Isabel or Isabella. She was the lady who took us in, over the phone. At first it was a little awkward because of the language barrier, but I pulled out my translator and stated what my mom and I needed from the salon today. Terribly unprofessional in not accepting my Voucher for a manicure. I followed all the instructions regarding using the voucher. I called, made an appointment, told the lady it was my first time and I wanted to try them out with Groupon. The lady is the one that chose the tech since I didn't know anyone and now they claim that this particular tech doesn't accept Groupon. I didn't choose her, the lady that answered the phone did. Anyways, NO ONE at the salon would do the service using the Groupon voucher. They claimed that that tech was off. The tech I had the appt with offered to do the service but at a higher price. I came in excited for a change and showed them a clear photo of what I wanted. What I got looks nothing like it. Not only did they waste my time and money, but they also damaged my hair in the process. The staff was shockingly rude. When I calmly expressed my disappointment, the stylist became defensive and began yelling at me. I've never been treated so poorly by a professional in my life. After arguing, I was only given a partial refund. They lack both customer service and basic hair coloring skills. Five very well-deserved stars for John and his staff. Wow! So I called the salon on a Saturday morning after reading it's colossal Yelp reviews. John (the owner) gave me a same day appointment for keratin and I headed right over under a serious tropical down pour outside. When I arrived, his assistant greeted me immediately and had me change into a gown. I thought for sure I'd be waiting endlessly to be seen since I had requested a same day appointment, but none of that. I didn't even wait 5 mins! I changed and John came right over to chat with me. I told him that I wanted to eliminate frizz, but keep my waves. I made it crystal clear that I did not want straight hair. He suggested that we do Hair Botox instead of keratin in order to achieve my goals. The process was long, as I expected, but John and his staff made sure I was having a pleasant time. They brought me raspberry tea and cookies, offered me magazines and even food! I had a couple of nice conversations with John also. He's a very kind, down to earth kinda guy. After the treatment was rinsed from my hair, he dried and flat ironed it. Then he trimmed it after it was dry ( I had never seen a stylist do that before). He combed and cut in various angles--it was quite skillful and artistic. He successfully removed a good portion of my split ends while maintaining my length. I left content but nervous about the final result as I could not wash my hair and curl it the way I normally do for another 3 days. I had to wear it straight and flat during this time which was rough for me (Did I mention I hate straight hair). Exactly 72 hours later, I washed and conditioned using a keratin safe shampoo and conditioner. I let it air dry, then curled my ends for volume as I usually do. My hair looks and feels incredible! The gritty horse hair frizz is gone and it curls with ease. The shine is simply unreal! I don't know WHY I didn't consider doing this treatment sooner! Everyone should get this done once or twice a year. It's like resetting your locks back to virgin times. So in conclusion: This salon rocks both for hair Botox and a cut, and I'll definitely be coming back for more hair TLC. John is my new hair Buddha! read more

I originally had an appointment at 11:30 with the Color Cove in fort lauderdale but they cancelled on me because apparently the girl said it was at 11. As disappointed as I was, I kept looking on Yelp and stumbled upon Le Hair Salon. I called and the man over the phone told me a balayage would run me along $150 depending on my length and so on and that I could come by later at 4pm. I showed up at a plaza off Flagler and soon they started working on my hair. I guess my biggest concern was that I would have orange hair or that it wouldn't be light enough but I was delightfully surprised that neither happened. Thanks to John! The first time I went to this salon, I had Pablo cut my hair. He did a great job. This second time around, I did not see Pablo as a stylist but decided to make an appointment with John because the place is impeccable and the staff is very friendly. They are constantly cleaning and Saran Wrap high touch areas. They have restrict and thorough COVID procedure. I took a picture of a long, sleek bob. Instead I got a short helmet-like bob. It's perfectly cut but not what I asked for at all. Maybe he was just having an off day, maybe he envisioned something entirely different than the picture, but this looks like I came out of the 90s. He made the first few cuts and said that the hair will dry higher to which I mentioned it is supposed to sit on the shoulders dry and showed him the picture again. At the point it was too late; it would be a short cut. But with every progressive cut he made my hair curl up higher instead of giving me a sleek cut that would have made it longer. To make matters worse, he blew dried my hair with a rolling brush that only emphasized the helmet-y shortness of the cut. I can't wait until it grows so I can get it fixed somewhere else. read more

I sat in the chair expecting for him to gasp since I had a mess of a hair, I had three colors and a botched at home dye job in a very dark color and mind you I wanted highlights. He proceeded to tell me his plan of action to get me the color I wanted but still keep my hairs health. This place came highly recommend from Yelp. I didn't see one negative review and I was desperately in need of a haircut so I thought I'd give it a try. I live in Sweetwater and most of the salons close to me are mostly Spanish and my Spanish, to put it lightly, sucks. It's very hard to explain what you want when you don't speak their language. Anyway, I had to make an appointment and I did it through yelp. It was pretty convenient and they sent a confirmation email immediately. I had my appointment with Mr. John who is also the owner of the salon (Yelp highly recommend him). So I got there a few minutes before my appointment. The owner keeps the door locked and prefers to open it himself while he also takes your temperature with the no touch thermometer. I was seen immediately. I got a hair wash and a hair cut and he also gave me recommendations about how to maintain my hair. Mr. John was very friendly and we had a nice chat as he was cutting my hair. He kept my length which was much appreciated. My hair does look a lot healthier so I'm definitely going back. The prices are definitely fair and affordable. Oh and bonus, they have a loyalty card program. Once you get the card stamped 5 times, your 6th haircut is free. read more

I let the owner, John, know that I was in a hurry before I got to the salon. He made me wait a half hour before he even said hello even though he had one client in the salon. I was trying to explain what I wanted and he was very irritated. He said, the problem with people is that they want a baliage but they don't want to pay for it. I never said anything about money nor that I wanted a baliage. Then he left me to go take care of a walk in. My highlights were awful. Then he poured the hair cream on my hand instead of fixing it for me. He walked away from me and left me with my hair wet. I couldn't get out fast enough. I would love to give more than one star because they were super nice and stayed open an hour past closing time to get me done. And my color was lovely. However, the rest of the experience was not as good. I had bought a Groupon for color and highlights. When I got there, they told me that it wasn't full color, just root touch-up. Maybe that's common knowledge and I just didn't get the memo, but I would have thought it would have said partial color or root touch-up. But, I'd already bought it and I was in Miami on vacation, so no chance of using it later for something else. I asked how much for full color and was told $20 more. I said ok and she started. I've colored my hair (myself and salons) for years and this was the first time that the chemicals irritated my scalp. It burned and itched. My scalp was dyed for days after and flaked off with scrubbing. I don't usually have dandruff, but I sure did after this. They asked if I wanted my hair blow dried. I said sure. Maybe things are different in Miami, but where I am from, they usually give you a quick blow dry as part of any service. Granted, she spent about half an hour meticulously drying my hair and used argan oil and it looked amazing when she was done, but I should have asked how much they were charging for this blow dry. But, since that's not the way it works where I am from, I didn't think to ask. So, I was surprised when I went to pay that they charged me $35 for the blow dry. And it was raining, so it was ruined as soon as i stepped out to run to my car. I was irritated that my Groupon "deal" had cost me more than double once I added a tip, but live and learn. When I got back to the hotel, we were eating and I noticed several splotchy stains on the side of my new light-colored skirt. It was hair dye. She had splattered my phone too, but it wiped off the case fairly easily. The skirt was not so lucky. You'd think it would end there, but you'd be wrong. For the next week, my towels and pillows were streaked with red after I showered and dried my hair. I have never had a professional dye job do that before and only once have I even had a home dye job do that. As nice as the staff was, my experience ranked in the top five worst hair experiences I've ever had. read more
