Muse in the Gables is my go-to salon in Miami. I go for my haircut and blow dry with Ogy. She's is a great stylist! She's professional, patient and super talented. The salon is also really nice and always has a fun vibe. Good prices. All the staff are kind and friendly. The salon is located a few minutes from Miracle Mile in the Gables. read more

This place did an AMAZING job the person that did my hair today was Mike he was AMAZING he was a nice person to talk to he never made it weird he made everything funny and enjoyable 100% recommend read more

Been coming here for about 6 years, and I never cheat on my stylist! I always do my hair with Mike, but honestly, you won't be disappointed with anyone's work here. And im super picky about who does my hair! The atmosphere is really nice - relaxed and friendly. You get the vibe that they're one big happy family - no tension or gossiping here! Prices are ok - not saying they're not a little on the $$ side (although for the Gables, it's not bad), but it's worth it! I always get compliments on my hair, and although I do thank mom and dad for some great genes, I've got to give Mike a lot of credit! read more

For the dudes out there that want a truly amazing haircut without paying out the a** for it... I refuse to get my hair cut by anyone else but Mike at Muse. I cant stress what a relief it is to show up at Muse and know my hair is going to look great. Image is key as a young professional. Bonus that the whole staff is incredible, complimentary coffee is fresh and high quality. The only downside is youll never be able to go anywhere else for a haircut ever again. read more

Muse in the Gables - Hair Salons Near Me - Coral Gables, Florida

As a well-seasoned salon goer, every other salon in Miami simply pales in comparison to Muse in the Gables. You name it, I've been there, and Muse still rates the best when it comes to color and cuts. The owners -- Mabel, Ogi and Mike -- are all excellent when it comes to any hair dilemma. All three hail from chichi Avant Garde and opened up Muse. The vibe is warm and homey, which is a breath of fresh air -- especially if you don't like a high-nose ambiance when it comes to your hair dresser. There's also tons of parking which is sadly a rare commodity nowadays. There's also something to be said of their nail techs. They are quick, meticulous and not chatty (my personal pet peeve!) So for a new hue or cut, try Muse. They are affordable and extremely talented. A total trifecta. read more

Since graduating college in Atlanta, I have been in desperate search for a reasonable and talented hairdresser in Miami. I have tried everything from SuperCuts to high-end salons on Miracle Mile. For my most recent haircut, I decided to try Muse- good Yelp reviews and close to my house. I had a 4:30pm appointment on a Friday in December, so needless to say, the salon was BUSY. After waiting 15 minutes, my stylist was still not ready for me, but major points to the floor manager for recognizing the problem and offering a solution- free conditioning treatment while you wait. As I am waiting under the dryer with the conditioner, Mabel, one of the owners, comes up to me and says "I am going to cut your hair instead- sorry about the delay!" Mabel is AMAZING! Great cut, just the right amount of chat and she totally understood what I wanted- simple day-time hair (hello, high school teacher) with the ability to style it cute/sexy for the evening. I appreciate that she did not try to up sell me products. I am definitely going back to Muse and Mabel. Also, tasty free wine (coffee, tea, etc). :) read more

I'm hooked on Doris...she is sweet, listens to my hair needs and gets it right! Doris has brought me from blonde to pink and now black...next I think some blue extensions :) read more

I went in perfectly content with my hair length and color, just wanted a blow out as I was there with my mom and sister. The lady assigned to me immediately warmed up to me as a fellow faux-ginger (ssshhh). We spent the whole time chatting about hair care, her helping me in my endeavor to become a platinum blonde utilizing at home bleach kits (yikes!), but she admired my hutzpah! Or at least, I think she did. So many places, especially in the gables have a tendency towards making you feel inadequate or poor. This wonderful red-haired woman, I wish I could remember her name, gave me tips on how to not kill my hair, what hair styles would look best on me, and talked me out of some truly atrocious bangs. The place itself offered tea, coffee, wine, and pastelitos (c'os hey, IM IN MIAMI, BITCH!). Would recommend to anyone & would definitely return! read more

I got my hair blow dried and pedi-mani done. The good: Nice location, clean salon, very kind staff. Professional hairstylists. The bad: Only one lady does pedi-mani The ugly: I got more bleeding spot, bruises on my hand and feet during pedi-mani than ever before!! I look like I just came from war.... Extremely painful and unprofessional technique for pedicure and manicure as well. I am unhappy with the result! I would come back any time to get my hair down but never again for nails! read more

I love Muse in the Gables. I've been going to them for a while and I always leave extremely satisfied. Ogi, Mabel and Mike are great!!! They also did my hair and make up for my wedding as well as all my bridesmaids. read more

Had a perfect experience at Muse. Just moved to the city and glad that I found a great salon on my first try. Mike gave me a flattering haircut that was exactly what I wanted, because he paid careful attention to my head and face shape in a way that all professional hairdressers should. Everyone was so friendly and they treated all their clients like regulars (maybe they all were!) It's clear that the staff genuinely enjoys working there. A wonderful experience all around, and I will definitely return. read more

Ogy is my go to hairstylist :) I moved to DC about a year ago, and I miss her! I've found a couple good hairstylists in DC, but no one has compared to Ogy.She is sweet and professional, but most importantly she's personable. You can honestly talk to her like she's your best friend. I've had several haircuts and colors over the past 2 years, and I've gotten compliment after compliment when Ogy works her magic. Gladys is also awesome with mani/pedi's. Come to Muse, you definitely won't be disappointed. read more

Mabel is unbelievable - the best haircut and blow out I've ever gotten. I have been going to the same guy for almost 20 years, and he is amazing, so I was really nervous to let anyone else come near me with a pair of scissors. But now I live an hour++ away from his salon closer to this salon. She sat me down before the cut and talked to me about what I wanted. I could not be happier with the end result! She did an even better job than the guy who usually cuts my hair! If you're looking for a great experience and even better haircut, I highly recommend this salon. read more

I went to get my eyebrows done with Oriya after a friend recommended her. I have really sensitive skin so she recommended her and said the wax she uses might be good for me. She did a great job and gave my eyebrow an awesome shape but just as suspected my skin still got super bumpy after waxing. Not her fault but I've realized that I can't wax my eyebrows without taking Cortisone cream with me to be applied right after. While I think she's REALLY great, I think their services are way too overpriced. I found another place close by from a recommendation - just as good and half the cost. If you don't care spending $30 for eyebrows then definitely give her a try! *They don't take tip by card so make sure to bring cash on you. read more

What an inviting place! You feel special and like you are their only client. Mike not only gives great cuts ans colors but he is fast. You won't lose an entire day at the salon. Love this place! read more

Loved it!! Highly recommend this salon and this was my first time as their client. Mabel cut my hair - she's an expert, fast, and friendly. I believe "Yuni" did blow out, she's great too!! Been getting compliments on my hair all day (I have natural wavy/curly long, thick hair). Parking was easy - metered parking next their building. I paid with ParkMobile app. Price is very fair for level of expertise and customer service. $85, not including tip (wash, cut, blow in 45 mins). Only down side: Mabel gets booked fast bc she's great! Make sure u book in advance :) I plan to return to dye my hair. read more

I recently visited this establishment for the first time after receiving a gift card for use there. I didn't know anyone or anything about them. Upon arriving, I was immediately greeted by one of the owners, Mabel, whom I had the appointment with. Both she, her staff/co-workers and even the customers couldn't be nicer and welcoming! Originally I wanted a facial, but upon calling and making the appointment, I was told it was meant to only be used for haircut, blow dry, color (1) choice from the list only. So upon discussing the options with Mabel we decided to do a color & highlights combo. It was a magical experience and I felt like Cinderella getting dolled-up for the ball! This was most meaningful to me because I have recently turned 50 years old and had a full head of disgusting gray hair! Although I must admit, their prices are over my budget, I will do my best to go back for another magical experience with Mabel! She's a true gem! Thanks and Happy Holidays read more

Michael is awesome! I relied on Yelpers to find Muse after moving to the area and they were right.

This salon is amazing !!! They have the best hair color and stylist , ask for a girl called Sonia, she nails the color and style every time. I have gone several times now and she always makes my hair feel luscious and smooth!! ! Its appointment scheduling is easy and very professional , no waiting or "please Hold" messages. The owners are always there making the clients feel welcomed and up beat ! I highly recommend them if your in the neighborhood and want a "one of kind" experience in hair color and style !!! read more

MABEL IS AMAZING! I am from New York and was getting married in Miami so I had to trust my recommendations. Mabel came highly recommended to me for hair. She came on site to do mine and my bridal party's hair AND makeup. She was so fantastic (and she's a lot of fun to be around too!) We weren't overdone at all. Our hair was soft, modern and cool. Our make-up was stunning, natural and looked incredibly professional in pictures. I can't say enough good things about her. I wish I lived in miami because I would be going to her all the time. read more

Really nice staff. Came in excited for a men's haircut but left disappointed. It really wasn't worth the $40 if they can't even wash your hair after the haircut to get rid of the hair on your face and neck. Maybe it was because I had a different stylist as everyone that reviewed this place, but this place doesn't deserve more than three stars in my eyes. read more

I recently went there and got my nails done by accident because I was just walking from the tag agency and looked down at my nails and noticed I needed a mani and pedi ASAP so I went in and got my mani and pedi done by Matilda. She was great . I will be dropping by soon after my trip to New York. Already referred my mom to muse. Keep up the good work. read more

I wanted to update this review to include Horya. She is amazing. She does a great job on my eyebrows and almost always has an appointment for when you need one. I often call with only 15 minutes notice and she is able to see me. read more

My husband and his friends get their haircuts here by Ogi and Mable. Great location if you are in the Gables I went to Ogi when she was at another salon before doing her own thing (Avant Garde). And I introduced my husband to her. I have to say that their strength is w. Mens haircuts. Does stellar job w. my husband...even cuts the hairs in his ears! And his eyebrows! Love it! You see my husband is no where near being a metrosexual kinda guy and he needs someone to take care and Ogi and Mable do the job. And Mable makes for nice eye candy for the men : ) read more

I was looking for a hair salon to do my hair for my upcoming wedding, and also my bridal party. I found Muse here on Yelp. I trusted that my fellow Yelpers wouldn't steer me wrong. And they didn't disappoint!! I am so happy I found this hair salon. It was everything I was looking for and more!! Mabel the owner of the salon is so sweet, and made the process so easy, not only for me, but for the rest of the party as well. She listened to what I wanted and delivered 150%! I am so happy I found the salon and plan to return to get more services in the new future. They are awesome! read more

This was my go-to place for haircuts during my time at the University of Miami. Over 4 years, I never left with a bad haircut or a bad experience. Mike is a great guy and I'd highly recommend. read more

My daughter got married last Saturday and Olgui from Muse did such a BEAUTIFUL job on her hair and makeup! And not only did she look amazing, but both hair and makeyp stayed fresh all night, without any touching up or fixing needed. And Olgui attached her veil below her "bun" and even the veil didn't budge all night. So give Olgui a call! read more

Muse in the Gables is a full service salon conveniently located on Ponce de Leon. I recently had a haircut appointment with Mike, who is very talented and caters to your specific hair needs. As usual, he did a phenomenal job. I highly recommend Mabel for make-up. She did an amazing job creating a soft and natural look for myself as well as my mother on my wedding day. I'm a confessed salon junkie.....I've tried them all! Maybel came highly recommended and she did a great job! I had my hair dyed, cut and blowed and WOW! Spot on! Prices are reasonable for a Gables salon, great location and the staff members are all pleasant. read more

This place is absolutely A M A Z I NG! The service, the attention to the client, their TALENT and KNOWLEDGE of hair. I got my hair done by Robert & Mike. They're awesome, I also got to see the other stylists work and they're also amazing. Even if you're not their client they offer you assistance. Not only that, but the homey welcoming atmosphere is just a cherry on top. I will recommend this place to every one I know, & I will continue going to them! So happy I finally found a great salon, definitely worth it. Thanks yelpers! read more

Love this place. I get my eyebrows done regularly here as well as my nails. Orya is simply the BEST for eyebrows! She has improved mine significantly - I used to thread before and had them very thinned out. I wouldn't trust anyone else for shaping, cleaning, filling them out, you name it. Muse has overall excellent customer service. Booking an appointment is easy and I've always left feeling amazing. read more

I was getting hair extensions put in at this salon. The salon bought the hair from an outside company so you paid THe Muse and they bought the hair and put it in for you. When the hair I ordered was not the quality I received before I asked them to take them out and send them back. When the company refused to refund the hair so did the salon. So I was out $300 and the salon did not offer to refund the money or give me new extensions. That is bad business and disrespectful to loyal customers who have spent thousands in this salon. read more

The best! Went in today and Mabel just transformed me. The most beautiful blonde highlights and cut. Doesn't get any better than this.

I am writing my review for Horya. She is the best when it comes to eyebrows!!! I followed her here because she used to work at Anastasia in Nordstrom at Merrick Park. Please go see her she will transform your face by shaping your eyebrows perfectly. She is beautiful and very professional and knows her stuff! read more

I heard so many great things about this salon but I am very disappointed in my experience. My stylist was chatting it up with another stylist the whole time and not really paying attention to what she was doing at all. She took huge chunks out of my hair that I didn't ask for. My long hair is now a shaggy choppy mess! It is also uneven. I'm very unhappy and it will take years to grow back this mistake. I'm so upset by this. I do not recommend Ogi. The excessive chatting is unprofessional and contributed to my awful haircut.thumbs way down. read more
