I moved out of Miami for a few years and now I'm back and needed a new hairstylist. I scheduled an appointment and then got ill, and I reached out twice to reschedule. I never received a reply. It's unfortunate that I have had to take my business elsewhere. Better communication is important. read more

I found this place on Yelp about 8 years ago. I was only looking for someone to do my teenage daughter's hair. She was swimming at the time and her hair was destroyed from the pool water. Anabel helped her restored her hair to full heath and was amazing with my teenager. We loved her so much we have never gone anywhere else. She's excellent at color, highlights, cut, blow dry and makeup too. I highly recommend Anabel and The Glam Studio. read more

Anabel came highly recommended by a friend so I had to come see her on my search for a stylist to fix my balayage that many have attempted but failed. Immediately, I walked in and felt welcomed. Cute little 2 chair studio, very clean and contemporary. I loved the 2.5 hrs I spent there -- filled with girl talk, music, wine, water (for Anabel and she worked her magic), and drop ins from fun neighboring stylists. 2.5 hrs passed quickly (I was was upset I had to leave because she had finished) and I was left with EXACTLY what I wanted. I basically told her when I walked in "look at my hair. It's brassy and ugly and I need you to fix it. I don't know hair so I'm leaving it in your hands." Anabel smiled and said I'm going to ****insert hair talk I don't understand here**** and immediately I could see she knew what she was doing and I let her do her thing. She was honest with what was realistic for my dried, damaged, and color treated hair. I couldn't be happier with the end result and have already booked my next appointment for a keratin treatment. I left happy with my hair, very pleased with the customer service I received, and have FINALLY found my hair guru. Thanks Anabel for putting up with me -- now you're stuck! read more

I came to Anabel per yelp reviews and was not disappointed! My hair was previously cut by someone else and I did not like it. They previously cut it very choppy and I lost some fullness/volume. So I came to Anabel for help to bring my hair back to life! She gave me her recommendations and honest opinion which was amazing. She evened out and cut my hair which gave it so much volume. I'm excited to go to her in a couple months to get another retouch and get it to how I want it to be! Loved her! read more

My hair was in a very bad place when I went to see Anabel: the blonde was almost orange, split ends galore, and the actual quality of my hair was poor. Anabel consulted with me thoroughly to make sure we were on the same page about the specifics of her game plan for my new style. I thought I knew what I wanted done when I walked in, but she suggested better options based on the current state of my hair. She exceeded my expectations in every way! CALLING ALL LADIES!! Say Goodbye to mediocre hair say HELLO to ANABEL! Got my first taste of The Glam Studio earlier this year and I am officially HOOKED. Had such a great experience at Glam studio. So glad I listened to other reviewers and decided to see what all the hype was about. I recently moved and did not have a hairstylist in the area. Anabelle was so welcoming! I've had my hair highlighted in the process of going blonde, had a lot of damage and my hair was just not feeling or looking right. My hair was looking yellow. Anabelle did some beautiful highlights to make me look blonder and took the yellow look out. I have a lot of hair and have a hard time finding someone who knows how to work with it. She cut my hair beautifully! It now has shape and movement. Could not be happier, will definitely be coming back! read more

Found this awesome place at yelp and based on all the great reviews, decided to give Missy Anabelle a try! And thank the lord i did! I had my hair really dark/purplish red and she was able to put get it lighter to a chestnut brown.... and most IMPORTANTLY keep it healthy. Im soooo glad i finally found an amazing hairstylist !!! LOVE LOVE LOVE! Let me start off by saying I live in Pembroke Pines. I was looking for a new hair salon in the Miami area and just happened to stumble upon The Glam Studio on Yelp. My appointment was with Anabel and although I live 35 minutes away, I can tell you it was more than worth the drive! She was very receptive when I told her I needed fixing up of my balayage and knew exactly what to do without me telling her much. All I told her was I planned on going darker and for her to just transition me there. I appreciated the hospitality so much- they offered me coffee, water, and empanadas :) The products they use are top notch as well. She gave me beautiful soft waves at the end of my service that lasted all day. WHAT REALLY HAPPENED The first time I went to Annia, my hairstylist, I paid $500 for my hair service. At the end of the appointment, she told me she was tired and asked if she could finish my roots another day. Because I trusted her and tried to be understanding, I agreed. Looking back, being too nice is exactly what led me into this situation. Two weeks later, I returned only for her to finish the roots she had left unfinished. That was all she was supposed to do. Instead of focusing on my appointment, Annia was working on another client at the same time. The other client, who was also an employee of the salon, kept talking about needing to leave for a party. Annia repeatedly said out loud that she was stressed and overwhelmed. As the paying customer who had already paid $500, I expected my appointment to receive the attention and care it deserved. I had specifically shown her a photo of exactly what I wanted: a very small root shadow, approximately the width of my pinky finger, so my natural dark brown hair could grow out naturally. Instead, because she was rushing and distracted, she applied far more dark color than I requested. The moment she did it, I told her it was way too much. She knew immediately she had made a mistake. Then she attempted to remove the excess dark color. I repeatedly told her not to damage my hair because I was happy with my blonde color and knew my hair had already been processed recently. Despite knowing my hair was fragile, she tried removing the color with bleach under running water. My hair could not survive it. She fried it. She broke it. She damaged the color I had spent years maintaining. I have the proof showing exactly what I requested and exactly what happened afterward. For more than three weeks, I suffered emotionally and physically from the damage done to my hair. I had one of the worst Mother's Days of my life. I did not want to leave my house. I did not want to go to my office. My confidence and self-esteem were shattered. I purchase professional-grade shampoos, conditioners, masks, oils, and treatments. I have spent years caring for my hair. Anyone who maintains blonde hair knows it is not cheap. After damaging my hair, Annia sent me partially used products and instructed me to perform treatments at home instead of bringing me back into the salon to personally provide the care and treatments herself. Anabel Marie at The Glam Studio has been doing my hair for years now (6 to be exact). I started doing my hair with her even before she was a salon owner. I was with her from the beginning. She has always been very professional and caring stylist, truly like no other. I have never left upset or disappointed. Each time I want to venture into a new style or color she knows exactly what I want and what looks good on me. Not to mention her awesome makeup skills. That is one of the things I love most it's a one stop place. She makes my family and me feel like the "Robdashians" how she calls us on occasion. She always has pampered me and all my family members that also come to her including my daughter (that swears Anabel is only her stylist). Once Anabel ventured out to become a salon owner I was more than thrilled. Here at the Glam Studio her amazing work and motivation has carried out even more. I feel at home here and I come at times more than twice a week. Her pampering is like no other and not to mention her professionalism. Once she opened the Glam Studio she brought in a second stylist trained by her and with her same strive and determination. Hellen is wonderful, she has blown out and styled my hair various times and has cut my daughters hair as well when Anabel has not been available. I think this is a big deal because once you are used to your own personal stylist it is very hard to confide in another but Hellen had done a great job at making me feel comfortable and leave happy. The glam studio is my go to spot!! The only place I trust for my hair and make-up. Anabel and Helen are extremely professional, use amazing products and really know exactly what they are doing every time. I have never left the salon unhappy with the results.
