We have been going here for 17 years this is our last year with CMG. I can honestly say in 17 years we have only seen a Dr. 4 times. We LOVE LOVE LOVE PA Erica Smith! The front office has always been friendly and fast, the referral team I can not thank them enough for all the great fast referral's. It makes us sad that we will not be seeing all of you anymore. Our last baby has grown up. :( Thank you for 17 years of exceptional care. read more

We had a situation where Derrell started yelling on the phone and hung up the phone . Very rude bad customer service. I have tried to go to office so I can have a conversation with that individual and the office wouldn't let me talk to him and kept telling he is fired but he is not the manger wouldn't come out and talk to me read more

Started coming here since I was 8, brought my own kids here when they were born and have never left, followed them to the new office! Absolutely love my Doctors, NP, and MA, all staff is amazing and friendly!! Keep up the awesome service!! read more

It's always nice coming here and th3 Dr is always nice and understanding. Been going here for years

Been taking my kids here for 5years and love Dr. Maxy ,he even saw me when I was a kid. And I always get in quick

To start off, I was a patient from three months old to 18 years old. I am now 30 years old with my own child. Dr. Maxcey was our primary choice for doctor however he was out of town after our son was born. I took our son right afterwards to see Dr. Larzabatl. She took her time to see us and answered most questions. Dr. N did a great job with the circumcision. However, when Dr. Maxcey return and we began seeing him, we saw him for one visit and immediately switched to a new practice. I originally wanted to take our son to him because I had seen him when I was younger. But in my opinion, he has changed. He seemed to not want to take the time, he didn't want to answer any of our questions about vaccinations, and he also barely looked at our sons, diaper rash, and just wrote a quick prescription but later we found out it was a pretty bad yeast infection. And in my opinion, if he took the time to actually look at the diaper rash, then he would've been able to correctly, prescribe something. On top of all of this, the medical assistance was rude and had no idea what she was doing with the jaundice tester. And the front staff who scheduled appointments and took payments were extremely rude as well. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, which after four visits in the first month, we decided to switch practices. I definitely would not recommend, his doctors office for anyone who's looking to ask questions or look for guidance from a doctor. They don't seem to really want to take the time nor do the office really know what they're doing. As a first time, mom this was exceptionally disappointing, and I want my child to be able to build a positive relationship with their practitioner. Looking for a doctor for their child so they can make their own educated decision as well. read more

Any time my kids go here they get sick it is because this place has been dirty. They say sick ones side and not sick other side and they don't ever clean either side that I have seen. It has happened to my kids multiple times. I am fed up. The schedule person scheduled my three kids told me dates and they were not what they told me. I am being charged $120 for three kids not showing up. This is not right! They told me wrong days!! I should not have to pay a no show if I missed a appointment at all. The doctors get flouted around. You might see nurse practitioner one day another you see a doctor. When asked who is my kids doctor all I would be able say was children medical. Do to not knowing who would see my kids. I am searching for new doctor for my kids. I highly do NOT recommend!! read more

My kids have been going to this office for 8 years. If I was rating the doctors themselves, they would be receiving five stars but because this is a office in whole, they are getting two stars. The doctors are always so great with my kids and have always made us feel like the care of our children was their top priority. Unfortunately, the office staff is the front line. You deal with them 75% of the time... booking appointments, dealing with referrals, etc. Since the move of office I have felt rushed and as if we are bothering them. I understanding a busy office.. but this is unacceptable. The gals up front and on the phones are rude and full of attitude. While on the phone today trying to schedule an appointment I couldn't even finish a sentence before being told they could not accommodate, I finally ended up hanging up. Your 3 patients of 8 years will not be coming back. read more

I have been going to Children's medical group for a very long time they were on 57th Ave & Thunderbird. The doctors are awesome, staff used to be amazing, not so much anymore since the new location. The front office staff are rude if you say something they literally roll their eyes at you. Also the referral dept. is a joke, the lady who runs it is lazy & acts likes she is so overworked. Don't get on her bad side she will make your child wait extra time because of it. I know first hand she admitted she didn't like me so she wouldn't get my 4year old child in right away with a broken arm. Told me he doesn't need to be seen his arm will heal on its own doesn't need a referral for an ortho dr. Took me a week to convince her to send him to an orthopedic surgeon he was in pain walking around with a broken arm. The staff should be ashamed of themselves! read more

Dr. Webb has been my daughters pediatrician for a little over a month now and I am beyond impressed. She's always in a wonderful mood, I never feel rushed with my questions or concerns and she is really through in her evaluations. The office is nice and clean and the front desk has always been really helpful. There is a wait sometimes but I chalk that up to the doctors and aids not rushing you through your appointments so I don't mind. I also love that they have a "well" side and "sick" side to try to limit the spread of colds. I am really happy we made this our daughters doctors office! read more

I have been bringing my kids to Children's Medical Group for almost 10 years. Throughout the years we have seen Dr Bhuskuti (sp?), Mrs Smith, and another Doc who I cannot remember the name of. We now see Dr Neuwirth who we absolutely LOVE! She is the sweetest! She is very thorough and the kids are very comfortable with her. They turn into little chatter boxes when normally they are very quiet with unfamiliar people. She always makes them feel at home and welcomed. The staff is also great. Always helpful and personable. read more

I have been seeing this office since my son was 14 days old and he is almost 6 months at this time of the review ... All I can say this is the best medical office I have been in for a number of reasons: 1) appointment availability 2) knowledgeable doctors , PA and nurse 3) amazing follow up 4) they always call you back within 24 hours 5) clean office and very kid friendly office 6) they thoroughly explain any issues or concern you have with your little one . - the best experience I have is with the nurse Barbara she always follows up when I bring my sick baby ,they help with referrals and contacting labs or other doctors offices for appointments .because of all this I have never felt more confident when it came to my baby's wells being. As a family we never experienced this with any doctors offices ! Thumbs up and keep up the great workCMG! read more

Love Dr. Maxcy and even the other docs I've seen occasionally. Quick, professional and to the point. But yes the front staff SUCK. Except for the dude with the great fade haircut and the chick that's been there forever. Whoever Megan is- she's rude af. And the referral lady is mean lol read more

The doctors here are great! The office staff and the scheduling are absolutely horrible. You call and they cant get you in. Or they can and its really late. I called this morning at 9 am. Earliest they could see my daughters was 4. My daughter got hurt at basketball, nose was fine last night after injury, woke up this morning with it swollen, super uncomfortable and visible bruising inside and pressure in her head. Asked to be seen sooner was told they were full. At 9 am!!! Office lady was rude didn't offer for me to speak with a nurse, or to get help just said were booked. What is the point of having a pediatrician and nursing staff if they are not helping the patients when they need you? We call our doctors because they know our kids, they are who we trust, it is sad that the office staff just brushed me off like my daughters injury was not "important" enough to speak with a professional. read more

Was referred here by a friend who brings all three of her children to this office since they were babies. My daughter had an ear infection and Erica did an excellent job in giving us all the options as far as treating it because my daughter does not like taking medication. Overall our experience was great and we will be returning to this Doctors office for future checkups. read more

I need to start this review by saying, I have never felt strongly enough (positive or negative) to spend my time writing a review like this. What has transpired over the last 2 weeks with the billing office (Specifically LOI in the business office) of Children's Medical Group has gotten me to the point where I feel I need to share my experience. I should also mention that the care at CMG has been just fine, Dr. Maxcy is great and we have seen an NP in the office who was also wonderful and caring. We have been going to CMG for the last 2 years since my daughter was born. Like many, we have insurance through my employer and the deductibles are high and the coverage is minimal. We have had to pay out of pocket somewhere between $40-$65 per visit after processing through my insurance. We utilize an HSA account, I don't have co-pays and have always paid our bills within a visit or 2. On Feb 14 I brought my daughter in for a check-up and paid the balance I was told was due on my account (130.00). At that time, LOI came out from the back and told me I would need to also pay for the visit I was there for (that had not yet occurred). I told her I would prefer that they first send the claim through my insurance and that I would pay it after that. (As has been normal procedure for the last 2 years) She came into the exam room while my daughter and I were waiting to see the pediatrician and asked me to sign an agreement that said they would run my card for $80. I told her that I really would like to see a bill first but she wouldn't leave and we were there for an appointment so I signed it. 2 days later I received a bill that showed I had actually overpaid while I was as in the office, so I called and spoke with LOI and asked her not to run my card until I got a new statement that reflected my most recent payment and also the most recent visit from 2/14. She argued with me that the $80 was past due and that the $130 I had been charged included my visit from 2/14. So basically, I was lied to in order to get me to pre-pay for an office visit. I told her I needed to see a statement and again told her she did not have my permission to run my HSA card. I received a message from LOI this morning stating that she ran my HSA card twice and that it was declined.  I immediately called her and told her I had told her she didn't have permission to run that card and she claimed she didn't recall that conversation. I asked her why she was treating me as if I had not paid my bills with CMG and was being so rude to me. I can hardly imagine how horrible it would be to deal with her if my child had anything more serious going on than an ear infection. Taking your child to the doctor is a hard enough process without being hounded and treated like a criminal at the same time. I paid the $80 I was being harassed for despite the fact that I was never given a bill for it. I will be finding a new pediatrician, not because I don't like the doctor, but because of the absolute worst customer service and billing process I have ever encountered. LOI was so rude that I am giving up 2 years of good medical treatment history in order to avoid dealing with her again. If you don't mind having a biller come out into the lobby to hound you for money and then follow you into the exam room and THEN run your card without your permission, for an amount as small as $80 then I would recommend this office for the pediatric care. If those things bother you, I suggest going elsewhere. I will be. read more

Our personal experience with this pediatricians office was bittersweet. Prepare yourself, this is gonna be a long review! I gave birth to our daughter last year in September, and the pediatrician that saw her and checked up on us while we were in the hospital was absolutely amazing, She belonged to this practice, so we just followed her there to continue seeing her. Unfortunately, this office was not nearly as amazing as our pediatrician. As with all newborn visits, we were going frequently for about five months. We made five visits total, and each visit was a below average experience. The ONLY reason we stuck it out as long as we did was for the pediatrician. First, the look and feel. The lobby is small, outdated, and very uncomfortable. The majority of the chairs were the little kindergarten desk chairs, and they littered the open space in a messy and unorganized manner. We had to climb over a number of obstacles just to get to an open seat where we felt somewhat comfortable. From the T.V. to the mural on the wall, everything was so old looking. Even the magazines were outdated, by months. I always felt very uncomfortable and out of place, as if I was sitting in a home where I was unwelcome. Second, the cleanliness. My goodness, this place was not up to par with my expectations of cleanliness for pediatricians. The lobby always had some sort of trash on the few side tables that were available. I could let that go if it weren't for the rooms. The one place I would expect thorough cleanliness is the examination rooms. Every time we waited in the room, I could not WAIT to get my daughter out of there! In our short time there, we saw leftover, half eaten candy, crumpled up paper towels, dried up spills, and even a stray diaper that somehow didn't make it into the trash bin. Gross! Third, the office staff. On almost every visit, they were rude, unorganized, and quite honestly lazy. They oozed a "I have better things to do" attitude. They never kept the lobby clean, and the movies on the T.V. were almost always stuck on the title menu. They couldn't even pay attention to that! Their lack of attention to detail and their awful attitudes always had me leaving in a bad mood. Fourth, the waiting. We waited for at least 45 minutes every time, despite being 10-15 minutes early. I understand falling behind in appointments, but waiting this long every single time and seeing patients who came in well after us getting called before we did was not cool. And even once we got in the room, we waited for AT LEAST another 30 minutes before finally seeing our doctor. Just waiting was exhausting in itself, especially with a newborn. Finally, the straw that broke the camel's back. On my last visit, I literally waited for an hour and a half before finally getting into the back. The only reason I waited so long was because the office staff said my daughter was due for vaccinations, and I had already paid my co-pay. When I finally got a room (which had a lollipop stick stuck to the exam bed) I waited for another half hour before I finally grabbed someone from outside our room in the hallway and asked them how much longer our doctor would be. She had no idea. I told her we were just here for vaccinations. She checked our paperwork and told me that according to our chart, my daughter was not getting shots that day. That was it! I gathered my things, strapped my daughter back in her carseat, and just walked out of our room. As busy as the traffic in the hallway was, no one noticed. I kindly told the front desk that I had been waiting over two hours with no sight of my doctor and I was given a "that's too bad" half-ass apology. I never went back. While our pediatrician was awesome, she alone did not make up for the awful experiences we had every single time we went in for my daughter's check ups. I originally started this review with two stars, think one star might be too harsh. But after re-living everything and writing it all down, I know that one star definitely describes our experience with this place. read more

My son and daughter see Dr. Neuwirth! We absolutely love her! I will say I work for a doctors office and I feel like the front office staff isn't very welcoming. They said they still couldn't see her until I paid the bill and they canceled the appointment. I am taking my 5 kids else read more

We have taken both of our children to this office for one reason, they get it done! They have moved into a new office that is much bigger in the waiting room (one "sick" side and one "well" side as to not get other non sick children ....sick) which should make any parent feel better about. We have had to call a few times for concerns and they have either been able to answer the question on the spot, or have received a call back very soon after we hung up with an answer. Scheduling an appt. is just as easy AND, they have seen us the SAME day or the next day if they saw that it may be a concern (again helped ease our minds). They remember our kids BEFORE they look at there file for notes (like a small town feel almost). The only downside to this review is that we are leaving AZ in a couple of months and hope to find something close to how much our kids have been taken care of while they were here. The picture that is currently showing of the chairs and blue wall is of the old office....they have comfortable chairs now :) read more

18 years at the place and even though you should be vigilant with the co- pay charges, Dr. Madhura Bhuskute is awesome! She never over perscribes, takes the time to really understand your concerns, and will be incredibly missed since we no longer need a peds doctor! read more

I heard so many great reviews about Dr. Maxcy and took my son to see him so that I could get an IEP with the school. The assistant asked us questions and my son answered them. One question was if he gets headaches. He answered yes. She left. Next I hear Dr. Maxcy tell his assistant,"I don't have time to go through her laundry list for her!" He came in and I explained to him how my son merely answered questions and the only thing I need from him is to see if he can recommend an IEP. I told him how he has a hard time focusing in class and staying still. I would like for him to be able to go to special classes. He asked what meds I would like for him. I told him no meds, I just want to see how he does with specialized time at school. He told me kids do not overcome ADHD without medication. I told him my daughter did. He implied I didn't know what i was talking about. I'm wondering if there are two Dr. Maxcys. I've never met a more unprofessional physician in my life. read more

They are extremely pleasant over the phone. Wait not to bad but the clientele are extremely trashy. The receptionist also decided to tell me while I was there that they don't take children who are not vaccinated or waiting to vaccinate so it was a true waste of my morning and time hauling three kiddos. Not happy won't step foot in that place again. read more

We were at this office for a year and as a first time mom, I didn't know any better as to how much was wrong. Any questions I asked were dismissed as "perfectly normal" and no throughl explanations to assure me on the "normalcy" were given. I never left an appointment feeling at peace or completely satisfied with the answers i was given. Whenever my daughter was sick, we were rarely able to see her ped and had to settle for different doctors (one of whom shamed me giving her fruit, citing the old myth that it would make her not like veggies since it's sweet- heads up, breastmilk and formula are also sweet). We were not taken seriously when we told them about her food allergies (they're unusual allergies, but unusual does not call for dismissing them). There was no follow up, pain management, exercises, lactation consult, or aftercare given when we had a tongue tie clipped. That's been a stark contrast since switching peds and going through another tongue tie with my son. I'm horrified at how uncomprehensive and lacking the whole procedure was at CMG, but again, i didn't know better at the time. We ultimately left due to not adhering to their vaccinations schedule after repeated vaccine reactions my daughter experienced. We reported her illness and neurological reaction that set in 2-3 days after her 4mo shots and were told it was "probably just a virus." Two months later, I explained that I wasn't comfortable doing her 6mo shots while she was already sick at the time especially after her reaction. The Dr asked why we hadn't reported it or come in to have her seen and I told her we did, but per usual it was a different doctor as our normal ped was rarely available when my daughter was actually ill, and they denied any link to the vax. Her 12 mo appt was in the middle of the worst part of COVID and I told them again no on vaccines as I did not want to risk a reaction I might have to take her to the hospital for. Mind you, the gap between 6-12 mo without shots was the healthiest she's ever been. The LNP said we'd be dropped from the practice if I didn't give her at least one vaccine that day and catch her entirely up in 30 days. I felt incredibly bullied and pressured, especially as I was not allowed to have my husband present to even discuss it with him. I caved and agreed to one shot. My daughter had the same distinct, repeated neurological reaction within 48 hours. I willingly have left this practice and am incredibly happy with our new office, where I have experienced a complete difference in care, thoroughness, and manners. I can't help but wonder what all was missed with my daughter's health by staying at CMG. It is entirely unethical for a health care professional to demand that I actively harm my own child's health after she has had repeated reactions and detriments for the sake of others. Bullying and regurgitated rhetoric is not true care. Do not choose this office, especially if you waver from the "norm" in any way. read more

I'm done with this group. The MDs are good. They are attentive and seem to genuinely care about the kids. The front office staff is less then desirable. Arrogant and rude. Not happy with my experience here. First of all everyone in the front office was... Useless. I had to repeat myself to the lady on the phone about 17 times. The doctor we saw in the hospital (Maxcy) wasn't personable at all. Their hold information stated "our physicians will not be accepting patients who will not be vaccinated" when I asked the front desk staff what this meant she said "it depends on the doctor" hmm.. Ok... I should have just gone somewhere else at this point, we aren't withholding vaccines but we are delaying them... And if you make a statement like "our physicians will not accept..." You should probably know the details. We sat in their FILTHY waiting room for 25 minutes past our appointment time after being told to check in 25 minutes early for 5 minutes of paperwork. When we finally got back for our appointment and I discussed the immunization thing with the doctor (hep B specifically- why it isn't just given later in life since most infants aren't at high risk) she said "well sometimes people never bring their kids in for checkups so you have to catch them as soon as they are born to vaccinate them"... THAT IS NOT A GOOD REASON FOR ANYTHING. At this point I was over it. I didn't want to go through the hassle of finding another pediatrician but this place is a joke. Will never use them again. read more

The doctor was great, but my son was coughing really bad and they forgot to send over the prescription to the pharmacy. We called to get this resolved and encountered the worst human being I have ever had to talk too! Denise Jarles was rude and unprofessional. We called to try and get my 4 year-olds cough medicine and antibiotics were told to "give us until 7pm". She was very short and asked us the same questions over and over, and then the conversation went from rude to aggressively rude! We ask Denise what her name was, to which she responded "What's your name?". We then called back when the script wasn't there sent over at 6:50ish and she became hostile. She went on to tell us that she was a professional and deals with hundreds of people a day.... We told her we just wanted to get the script and needed her to make that happen, to which she responded, "I do my job, you need to do your job and take care of your child.." The only appropriate response was "that's what we are trying to do". We did finally get the script at 9pm. I know people have bad days, but this was a truly terrible experience with a really nasty human being. read more

Dr. Maxey walked in and saw my newborn son 13 years ago in the hospital, we have been patients ever since. Lately, we have been so disappointed in the office staff, treatment while in the office. When I call to make an appt, I practically have a give a blood sample, we wait longer than ever before to see a doctor, and the MA'S are always new and coming and going. The insurance verification gals had the nerve to call my husband a few days back and ask about the insurance that was set to expire in April (it's February), we were fine with explaining the company switch situation, but the girl was rude and her reason for calling my husband of all people was idiotic, so now after 13 years we are going to find a new office, we will miss Maxey and Erica. read more

I am very upset with this office .I will start off by saying Erica smith is a very good provider and needs to find a different company to work for. Today was the last straw. The front office is so rude and they even had a big change over and there still rude and don't know what the hell their doing. Every time I have tried to get my kids in quickly they never can even if its something little as thrush and ofcourse they make you come in even if they just saw your children a week prior. Then they schedule appointments like today and say your late your appt was 1:30 not 2:30 when I put on my calendar 230 knowing my daughter wasn't out of school at 130..and even then I drove 30 minutes for them to turn me away when they have 4-5 providers there is not one to see my two sick daughters . The lady did not show no remorse and even say let me check with the doctors and see if any will be willing to squeeze you in. Erica would have seen my children but the front office wouldn't even consider it . What made me the maddest is that my children were sick first of all second it was THEIR mistake..There was no call reminder either. If your looking for a caring doctors office I do NOT advise you to choose them after 5 years I have switched providers... read more
