WOW! My granddaughter had her 1 year check-up and shots today. As a Nana, I always pray that things will go smoothly for both my daughter and granddaughter when we have shot day. As always, Araceli greeted us warmly and asked how we were doing. Mysty always has a huge smile and warm greeting, and today - she had some hair tricks (Thanks, Mysty!). We were told that the usual provider was not in today - what we were not told was that the ABSOLUTE best provider ever was about to walk into the exam room. Kristen Buchanan was like a breath of fresh air. For the first time when meeting with the provider, my granddaughter did not cry at all. She had a few tears later in the visit when she was given her shots. Even then, she only cried for a few minutes then calmed down. Kristen was so very kind and knowledgeable. She provided much needed information to my daughter for the next stages in eating, language and physical development. Safe to say, my daughter and granddaughter were completely at ease and had the best visit ever! Came here for my sons 12 month check up. This was our first time seeing Dr. Rekhala, Vilasini she was nice but it was nothing like his previous pediatrician. I felt like the appointment was very rushed she was in and out of our consultation within 3 minutes or less it felt like. The rest of the staff was amazing. read more

I raise a health conscious family. My family eats healthy, my family rarely gets sick, & my family rarely have to see doctors. My daughter got an ear infection, I called to make an appointment. During the phone call the receptionist said that P.P. fired us because my daughter hasn't visited in 3 years. So you mean to tell me if a child is healthy for years, you won't help them anymore? The receptionist said because she hasn't been seen in 3 years, she is now considered a new patient & they said she has to get the covid vaccine. They didn't require my daughter to be vaccinated in 2020, so why now? I don't know how medical practices are allowed to do this? This is a form of bullying. A way to force a bogus unnecessary vaccine on my child. First they fire her for being healthy, classify her as a new patient, & force her to get a vaccine or the doctor won't see her. I'll be looking for a new pediatric care. This place is horse . What a awful practice? This is no way to treat your patients, especially children. Shame on you! read more

Super happy to find an office that will administer COVID shots to both kids and adults, so our whole family could go at once. The online booking is pretty straightforward, though it requires a LOT of data entry and when you're doing it 4 times, it's a lot. We also got our flu shots at the same time as our COVID bivalent boosters and it was so nice to get everything done together and not have to worry about it for another year. They are kind, efficient, and welcoming. Appreciate them having well child and sick child waiting rooms that are separate. Check-in was efficient, and the shots themselves were quick and done with a minimum of pain. Will definitely go back next time! read more

I took all three of my kids to Pleasant Pediatrics and for all my healthy children who needed no specialist visits or additional care, this went fine. They were weighed and received their annual vaccines. Our third son was different from about 6 months old and on. From every cold, croup, and RSV exposure, being sick hit him harder. He would have retractions and faster breathing. He would wheeze and cough for hours at night, destroying his sleep. I remember telling the pediatric staff that I could put a timer to his coughing. It was every two minutes for more than 2 hours. Yet every time I brought him in for coughing and wheezing, we were either told to go to the ER (Where they didn't see the need for our son to come in and didn't prioritize or treat him with anything. Not albuterol, not a referral to a specialist... It's Banner Thunderbird, if anyone needs to know which hospital to avoid.) or treated like I was imagining that his symptoms never subsided. We were referred to one Pulmonologist, who at the time didn't have much history to go on and since my son wasn't wheezing when he came into the Pulmonologist's office, he couldn't see the issues. We were never referred anywhere else by Pleasant Pediatrics despite my son's symptoms continuing. It's the lack of TREATMENT and the lack of referrals that disappoints me about this office. The doctor at Pleasant Pediatrics could see my son was having retractions and I told her the ER wasn't treating him. She wasn't willing to treat him either apparently. He was too sick to be with her, but not sick enough for the ER so HE suffered. He's 20 months old now. He goes to a new Pediatrician who treated his symptoms with a nebulizer to be sent home from day one and suggested he could have asthma or allergies. She also prescribed steroids to open his airways. He was tested for allergies and he does have severe allergies. He has also been diagnosed with asthma and has a great pulmonologist at Phoenix Children's Hospital. We take our son to Phoenix Children's Hospital if he's having a rough time now. They take him back right away and he's treated right away. What I hope will come out of this review is that the doctors at Pleasant Pediatrics will review how they treat the patient's coming in with symptoms similar to my son's. I never want anyone else to go through the frustration of feeling stuck and like there's no treatment for their child because the office is scared to treat them. Going to the hospital was not the solution as he wasn't always severe enough to warrant it. He needed a home nebulizer. He needed breathing medications. He needed steroids. Our son needed an asthma plan and allergy treatments for long-term treatment. He only wheezes or coughs at night now if he's off his inhalers and we constantly review if he still needs them. read more

Dr. Osborn sees my daughter and son and we ADORE her. My kids can be a handful but she has been their doctor since birth and is so patient. We have seen Dr. V for the flu and he was so cool and really calmed me down in a panic and baby temp of 103; also Dr. Ravi for a circumcision with my son and she was extremely professional. Any mom wants the best for her child and I'm so thrilled every time I leave this doctors office because I am reassured their clinical staff has our best interest at heart. We LOVEEEEEE Dr. Osborne. She's a one of kind Dr. Takes time to listen to ANY concerns I have. Knows us well enough that if my husband takes my girls she'll call me to give me the update of how the appt went and what needs to be done if anything especially medication or follow up that needs to be done. She's been seeing my youngest who just turned 3 yr old since she was 3 months and I can honestly say even when she's swamped she'll never rush thru the appt just to hurry. The Location is ALWAYS clean - they're willing to work with you on scheduling and have made it a very easy transition for a California family coming to Arizona knowing no better. read more

I was taking my kids to a different pediatrician and the office closed. So I had to find one fast, with a 2 1/2 and a 4 month old, it's not easy. Everyone at the office was nice. My 2.5 year old is A LOT and loud and crazy, but they didn't seem to mind. Both the babes had to get shots and the nurses and PA were amazing. I honestly feel lucky to have found this place and love how clean and open and easy it was. This is our first time here. And the receptionist and the ladies up front are super friendly. It's not a big concern being on hold for less than a minute. We seen Dr. Osborn and omggggg she is an amazing doctor. She actually listening to what going on rather than interrupts you. She is amazing. I seriously wish I would of found her sooner. Went there today for an appointment, got there 35 minutes prior to my appointment to fill out paperwork and have my insurance verified. The front office receptionist kept telling me that I had to pay a $100 deductible deposit, even though my insurance does not have a deductible for office visits. I calmly explained my policy to her as I work in the medical field and am educated on my insurance benefits. She told me again that I had to pay it and then finally went back to ask the office manager. She came back and said "the office manager understands that you THINK that you understand your benefits, but we require you to pay that $100 deposit." I then asked for my paperwork and items, told her to cancel the appointment and left. We were there 35 minutes early, more than enough time for her to at least call the insurance company and verify my benefits, I even suggested her to do so, yet she did not. The office did not listen and made me feel insulted when the manager said that I THINK I know what I'm talking about. Disappointed and will not be returning. read more

Overall, this is a great location. I think the staff you will deal with on a daily basis is amazing! However, what has disappointed me with this location was when I showed up 15 minutes early to an appointment to find my daughter and mother of my child finishing up the appointment. I spoke to the manager and explained that I have joint legal decision making and that the mother doesn't communicate information to me. I showed them the parenting plan and asked that they put a note not to bring my daughter back prior to the appointment start time. The manager stated this is not something they can do and it's my responsibility to work it out with the mother. Which is impossible when the mother will not effectively communicate. I think it is a reasonable request. I then asked to speak to the next person above her and she said there isn't anyone else, but later on said there is but they would say the same thing. It's really sad how hard it is as a father to be treated fairly when the office can't even wait until the appointment start time. I will never recommend this place due to the managers lack of assistance on something that I believe is so easy to accommodate. read more

LOVE this office! We recently moved here from California and had the best pediatrician back home, so it was hard to find one we loved as much, until we found Pleasant Pediatrics. We had gone to one other office before finding them and were so unhappy. Some fellow moms recommended them and I'm so glad they did. The office staff is actually nice! They are so sweet, professional and efficient. The medical assistants, physicians assistants and doctors are so awesome. We felt right at home on our first visit and my kids felt comfortable. Office is clean and I love how they have separate entrances for sick kids. We were able to get an appointment right away even around the holidays. We were taken back to be seen before I could even finish the new patient paperwork. Staff is awesome! Vivian Haji is our favvvvorite!! I called and was scheduled an appointment quickly. The process was smooth and the woman working the front desk was pleasant. The medical assistant was also nice but the pediatrician was disconnected. She barely examined my daughter, barely even looked at her, before just asking if my daughter is doing normal things like laughing and babbling. I said yes, mused a bit about my daughter not feeling well while she didn't even look up at me. She was just checking through my daughters records and such. Then she blankly said something to the effect of "ok it's probably a common cold, she'll have shots coming up. Have a nice day." And rushed out. Let me make clear that I totally understand some pediatricians are tired or rushed due to close appointments and other factors. We found a new pediatrician and he's great! He caught whatever infection she had a high fever from, prescribed antibiotics and stays in touch. Hopefully this was just one off day for Pleasant Pediatrics read more
