We made an appointment with agave because we were looking for a provider that would allow an alternative vaccine schedule. We are not anti-vac, our adopted son just had a lot of other complications and unknowns. When researched the website and thought we'd found the right place but when we got to our appointment we were given a form to sign that we would take all vaccines or be on a catch up schedule. We explained we were considered a delayed vaccine schedule. At the end of our son's appointment the provider told us he was due for a hep B vaccine. She gave us no education on what hep b was, why we should get the vaccine, and what the side effects could be. We agreed to the vaccine, only to find out he wasn't even due for it at all and we could have saved him a poke if we would have waited till he was two months and gotten a combo vaccine. Additionally, when the nurse came in to administer the vaccine she wanted us to un-swaddle him and hold him down on the table. From what I've read best practice is to actually have the child swaddled and even breast feeding when possible. When I told the nurse I'd rather hold him and comfort him (then hold him down and traumatize him?) she argued but ultimately relented. To say I am mad is an understatement. We were given no education, our wishes weren't honored, and our son was given a vaccine he didn't need. I'm in the process of finding out how I can report this to medical board. read more

My girls who are now four and three years old have been coming to this pediatric office since they were born. They took care of my daughter's lip and tongue tie. The procedure went very well. The staff is always very nice and courteous and kind to my children. There was no pressure to do vaccinations as we don't believe in that they do have you sign a refusal form, but they don't make you feel bad for choosing what's best for your child. Highly recommend this Pediatrics. My children have both gone to the Goodyear office and the deer Valley office. I would recommend both locations. read more

Had an appointment at 1 pm today walked in the door around 12:45 and nobody was at the front to help me. The door on the side was open and someone stuck their head out and said yea? Caught me off guard because as a professional business they talk to a patient like that? Then I told her ummm I have an appointment at 1pm and she then proceeded to tell me the girls are at lunch. I work for a medical office as well as a MA and supervisor. One, I would not allow my front desk employees leave the front desk unattended. I would have the girls alternate lunches so that way there is always someone at the front to check in patients. Having the front door open and then nobody helping patients is unprofessional. I just think there needs to be more professionalism and organization in this office. It's not ok to have patients just waiting there at the front with no one to help... read more

We've been going here since my 7 year old was around 3 years old and her sister is now 3 years old. In the beginning we had April who has since moved into a different specialty who was amazing and have had different providers since who have all been excellent. Even though we haven't had a specific provider each time, the ones this practice seems to draw are all ones I would recommend. Extremely disappointed in this location! I have been to agave pediatrics for over 9 years for the care of my children and never had issues. We moved to Verrado in Buckeye over a year ago and I can NEVER get a same day sick appointment for my 1 year old.. I have had to drive an hour to other locations later in the day to get him seen. When I do have a scheduled wellness check at agave they say "I'm shocked you can't get a same day appointment" but then have "limited providers" I'm probably going to stop bringing my kids to agave and will start taking my children to Desert Valley who seem to be way more accommodating and have same day sick appointments. read more

Dr. Rajeev Agarwal did not introduce himself, did not examine my daughter, and quickly stated she was fine with nothing further to do. The visit felt rushed and dismissive, with minimal communication or assessment. This doctor should not be seeing pediatric patients, and needs to be trained further on how to interact with, sick and vulnerable patients read more

His mobility has improved extremely and we can't thank Agave Pediatrics enough! we saw Shaili Patel she is very kind, knowledgeable, and explains everything well. I am at a loss for words. The quality of healthcare in this country continues to deteriorate, and today was a perfect example. I took my daughter in for a routine check up, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. Unfriendly front office staff. Our triage with the medical assistant was probably the brightest part of our visit; she was friendly. The Dr spent maybe 7 minutes total with us during our appointment. I was asked a few questions such as is she talking, is she able to put words together, and is she having regular bowel movements? That was it. No other questions about fine/gross motor, cognitive, & social developmental milestones, parental concerns/safety, nutrition, etc. I was asked to complete a MCHAT questionnaire, and the results were not addressed or discussed. The physical exam consisted of the doctor looking into her ears and listening to her heart. Definitely not a head to toe exam. No anticipatory guidance. Is this what healthcare is becoming? Dr. Powers is excellent - she provides pediatric care and OMM. It's so hard to find someone to trust with body work with our 10-week old baby, but the moment she entered the room we felt peaceful and well-informed about the experience. She gave us stretches and activities to do outside of appointments so our baby's progress is quicker. Love this location and office! read more

Dr Rajeev Agarwal was insulting and offensive during a visit to get my two sick children looked at. He was upset we do not regularly visit agave and get vaccinated. He basically lectured me the whole time during the visit while another doctor sat there and listened. He said if it was up to him he wouldn't allow us to go there because we don't fit his prerequisites. He should be ashamed of himself. I will be filling a complaint with the medical board of Arizona. We've been going to it Agave for 10 years and this has never happened. read more

i started going to Dr. Powers for OMM because of my sons hypertension and flat head. within 2 months of working with Dr. Powers and doing the home stretches (which in my opinion are essential to make substantial progress) we were able to almost completely restore head shape and avoid a helmet! Dr Powers was very kind and considerate of our circumstances all throughout making a treatment plan. and to top it all off the staff are very kind and even remembered us and little things we told mentioned to them. everyone here is overall very kind and I would 100% recommend Dr. Powers to anyone who may want to try and avoid a helmet for their baby as well. i've had nothing but positive experiences with this doctors office and this just adds to it. read more

My first ever baby went in for what I got told a lip tie and come to find out she had a tongue tie as well. Long story short she didn't need her lip tie done. I was impressed with how well they did with my baby. The care was amazing. The people in the office were super nice. The doctor and everyone. We've been going here a year now and with my most recent born we've had nothing but issues with the front desk. Always an issue with the insurance and it's been tiring doing the same thing before every appointment when I've never had to with my other two kids whom also use the same insurance. They have the name of him down wrong and I've also mentioned that as well. They always seem to be a little mean about it as well. The medical assistants and providers are amazing though! Wife took our 6month old here for an appointment today. Scheduled for 10:30am. Several patients were called in before her even though they arrived after her. The other parents even asked what the deal was and why she was being skipped. My wife asked someone working at the office what the hold up was, but that employee never returned with an answer. Finally, after almost an hour of waiting, she was skipped by yet another patient who had only waited 3-4 minutes (no fault of the patient, btw) and was she was so fed up that she just asked for a refund and left. My son needed 4 vaccines. We asked the doctors office to give him 2 vaccines one day and the last 2 the next visit. But they decided there is a vaccine quadracel thats 2 vaccines in one so I can give him "2 shots" in one visit which is 3 vaccines. This is not what the doctors told us they would be doing and this is what happened. They wouldn't take us in for a visit when my son was feeling ill and had a bad rash from there office. They informed us to go to urgent care. So I will never be returning to this office again. read more

A nurse at Agave Pediatrics ABUSED my 4 week old, 7 pound newborn son. She was supposed to do a simple heel prick for his newborn screening and I took home a baby that was bruised black & blue, inconsolable & in a world of pain with FINGER PRINTS up and down his poor little legs. I messaged the practice owner begging for him to call me to help me get justice for my son, to report the nurse, and he never responded. I posted his story on facebook begging the public to avoid this practice that engages in child abuse, and the owner commented promising to call me and figure it out. HE NEVER CALLED ME. My son was ABUSED and the nurse is still working there touching other children! The owner hasn't tried to help at ALL! The front office refuses to tell me the name of the nurse who handled MY BABY! I have told the office manager, practice owner, other nurses AND two other providers about the abuse he endured and NONE of these MANDATED REPORTERS have reported the abuse or reached out to figure it out. Take your kids anywhere else. They do not care about you or your children. I will be filing police reports, reporting to every medical and nursing board possible, reaching out to attorneys, getting in contact with every news station, and making sure my baby gets justice. I was so nervous about trying to find a pediatrician for my son- especially during this COVID stuff. The birth center I gave birth at recommended Agave and I was pleased to see them open a new location in Gilbert. I was able to call and make an appointment and get my son in for his one month check-up. Our appointment was with April and she was lovely! She was so kind to us and answered any questions I had. She also gave us a vitamin D sample as well as a probiotic sample. I can't speak for the other providers but I love April and will continue to see her for all of our appointments! read more
