Ummmm... what kind of question is that ?! Anyways, I decided not to go back. Recently, my kid got sick again with fever and ear aches and found out they were under a new management. I thought " maybe that's changed" I came to this office 3 times with fever . One ear infection and now double ear infection. I decided to get all the records and take him to PCH and they said they shouldn't have given me such a low dose (twice) on antibiotics. AND he decided to follow up on the earl infections , arbor doesn't care. I don't want my kids to have to see the dr so many time within a month. Save you some time and find something better. My baby would scream for 5-7 hrs per day, arch…read moreher back, make a sour face, couldn't sleep flat, etc all the classic signs of GERD in infants I now know. They kept saying "it's just colic". I changed providers and that one suggesting trying different formulas and wasn't making sense or listening to me when I said we had already tried cutting out allergens. I was also concerned because my baby was bruising easily and quite pale, and I was severely anemic at the time of delivery, I thought maybe she was too. They kept refusing to draw blood and then they finally did and told me "hemoglobin is within normal range". I didn't believe them and asked for the number. 9.0. I ended up utilizing some online resources that suggested my baby 1- had silent reflux or GERD, and 2- was definitely anemic as hemoglobin of 9.0 is not normal. We ended up changing to the Park West location and I really had to twist the doctor's arm to prescribe my baby famotidine or omeprazole as a trial. That doctor became nasty with me and said "if you're willing to chance the side effects then fine". My baby was in severe pain, not sleeping and losing her voice. The famotidine prescription changed her life. She was no longer in pain and turned into a happy baby. Additionally WIC suggested enfamil AR - pleasant peds never mentioned this - and that helped immensely as well, plus the anemia subsided. At our final visit the doctor suggested we allow our baby to scream and cry inconsolably for a night or two to make her sleep thru the night and told us not to feed her until morning even if she wakes to eat. She was an infant at the time. We walked away and never looked back.

We were told that the usual provider was not in today - what we were not told was that the ABSOLUTE best provider ever was about to walk into the exam room. Kristen Buchanan was like a breath of fresh air. For the first time when meeting with the provider, my granddaughter did not cry at all. She had a few tears later in the visit when she was given her shots. Even then, she only cried for a few minutes then calmed down. Kristen was so very kind and knowledgeable. She provided much needed information to my daughter for the next stages in eating, language and physical development. Safe to say, my daughter and granddaughter were completely at ease and had the best visit ever! I was told that the script would be called in to Walgreen's. It wasn't. On Tuesday, Kylie, my daughter, went in to the office to drop off an update d Power of Atty and Living Will (for an upcoming surgery) and asked about the prescription, and was told that it would be called in to the pharmacy that afternoon. It wasn't. I called again on Wednesday, now three days without the pill, only to be told that it would be called in, and again, it wasn't. On Thursday, I was told that the pharmacy had to send over a fax request to have the script filled and that the doctor would not be back in the office till this Monday, which means I would be without the med for a total of 7 (SEVEN) days! I was then put on the phone with a man claiming to be the office manager who told me that the message (which I have never heard, because if you are placed on hold, 623.298.4642, there is no message, just dead silence) would tell you that your pharmacy must send in a fax request...NOT! He refused to listen to my story even telling me that it was my fault and that he didn't care that I used to be a nurse and that he didn't care who screwed up that it was my fault. He yelled at me, wouldn't let me speak and told me that there was nothing he could do. Consequently, last night, I had a grand mal seizure that could have killed me. Google Clonazepam, and look up what happens when you suddenly stop taking this drug after so many years. I have complained to AHCCCS and will complain to Dr. Jeanette Cruz, of Estrella Family Medical the next time I see her. LAWSUIT? POSSIBLY. You don't have to put up with the bull. I could have been told on Monday to have the script request faxed, and problem would have been solved. My daughter could have been told that on Tuesday or handed a script when she was there, but no. At no time were we told...This office dropped the ball, but it's my fault... I COULD HAVE DIED. I WANT HEADS TO ROLL AND PEOPLE FIRED. AM I MAD, DAMN RIGHT I AM MAD. I HAVE KIDS TO RAISE AND A LIFE TO LIVE. JUST BECAUSE SOME OFFICES REQUIRE A PHARMACY TO SEND A SCRIPT REQUEST, DOESN'T MEAN THEY ALL DO, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD TO DO THIS BEFORE!! ~~ I got a certified letter today, 9/20, telling me that I have been fired. That tells me that this office can't admit to their mistakes and that I am glad that as of October, I am glad I am no longer their patient. I have alerted AHCCCS, the Arizona Medical Review Board and will be filing a Medical Malpractice Lawsuit as well.~~
