I normally wait less than 15 minutes before they take me back, weigh me and situate me in the exam room. Dr. Bailes usually comes in within 10 minutes. I think it's fairly normal wait time. They keep up on new research and don't stick rigidly to the numbers they learned in school. They know and consider greatly, the human factor. They have good bedside manners. They have listened to their patients over the years, and maybe found a large number of them who have a specific diagnosis complain of the same certain thing(s) that don't fit with the description of the disease. So, they consider this and don't just dismiss the patient with a "doctor knows best" attitude. They run the tests, prescribe the medications, and don't give up trying. Although I don't know for sure, because of my experience, I don't have confidence that Dr. Deer is like that. One reason I can give is when I asked him if there are anymore thyroid tests other than TSH and T4, he said there is not. I know that's a lie.

During the visit, she repeatedly interrupted me whenever I tried to answer her questions, often talking over me before I could fully explain my concerns. It made me feel unheard and dismissed. The biggest issue was the lack of attention to my care. I was referred to this office for a specific medical concern, yet the recommended testing was not handled properly. One test was not performed as expected, and another specimen had to be rejected by the lab because the wrong collection tube was used. As a result, I had to schedule a second appointment to repeat testing. At my follow-up visit, Lisa O'Neal seemed unaware of why I was there and had not reviewed my situation beforehand. When I asked questions about the testing, I was told they don't test for certain strains, which was confusing given the reason for my referral and the specialty of the practice. Instead of taking the time to explain the reasoning or address my concerns, I felt like my questions were treated as an inconvenience. To make matters worse, when discussing the repeat test that had to be redone because of the office's error, I was asked in a dismissive tone whether I even wanted to retest, as though it didn't matter either way. Throughout both appointments, I never felt that my concerns were taken seriously. Instead, I left with the impression that my presence was an inconvenience rather than a patient seeking specialized care. I cannot recommend this provider based on my experience.
