Instead, when we raised legitimate concerns about chronic staff absences, inconsistent therapy, and poor communication, they terminated services for both of our children. The owner, Zach, handled the situation with a level of unprofessionalism that shocked us. Rather than listening to a parent's concerns or taking accountability, he became defensive, argumentative, and more interested in protecting his agency than protecting two vulnerable children who depended on medically necessary services. Since speaking publicly about our experience, numerous other parents have reached out to tell me they experienced similar issues with Fox. That was deeply concerning. We have filed complaints with the appropriate oversight agencies because we believe what happened deserves independent review. No parent should ever have to wonder whether advocating for their child will result in losing the very services their child needs.

We had been to many different clinics before we found Fox Therapy due to moving or lack of therapists. We were excited to get started right away and not be placed on a waitlist. (The last clinic we went to had one OT that would split their time between two locations. So there was a long wait-list and limited days for sessions.) It's very rare for Fox Therapy to cancel a session since they almost always have another therapist to cover. We've also never had a bad experience with a therapist and each does a great job connecting with my son. They are great at communicating and send out available sessions everyday for make up sessions or if there's a more convenient time for you. They also offer programs througout the year and constantly ask for feedback from their clients. They are great at listening to the feedback and adapting to their clients needs. I highly recommend giving them a call if you're looking for any of the therapies they offer. (I know they currently offer speech, feeding, vocal and occupational therapy, but I wouldn't be surprised if the list is longer.)

Unfortunately, after two previous good experiences with Athletic PT, this most recent time isn't going well, and I'm going to be making a change. After Covid, this particular location gave up about half of its previous space, making what remains feel small; even claustrophobic. I don't care for all the patients being almost on top of each other in the back treatment room. Going through physical therapy feels like it should be a private experience, or at least semi-private. At this stage of my life, I don't enjoy being cheek and jowl with other patients. They have also cut the amount of time spent with each patient, which surprised me, and not in a good way. There's also a lot of noise happening - the music is loud, and the therapists and their assistants are making chit-chat talk with each other. It wasn't relaxing to be in that environment. This makes me sound like a crotchety old lady, but I think that a Zen-like environment might be more healing than a Gold's Gym (not to pick on them, per se) kind of work-out shop. When I walked out of the first hands-on appointment I told Dear Hubby that it didn't go very well, and in fact was causing pain in my lower back that I hadn't had when I went in to work on my knee. I spoke with several friends who've been through PT to rehab from surgeries and they urged me to move on if I'm not feeling comfortable. I expect that Athletic PT does good things for many others, but in it's current incarnation, and my current physical state, it's not a good fit for me.

We switched to Taylor Pediatrics before my second child was born in Sept 2022 due to my old…read morepediatricians office being filthy - loved the pediatrician hated going to the gross office. The office and waiting area at Taylor Peds is amazing and definitely seems clean. The nurses are super friendly and GREAT with kids especially Nurse Karen. But I found both Dr. Cai and Dr. Taylor to be non personable and short. Dr. Cai being more so than Dr. Taylor. Two incidents happened. We took our son in in February for all signs pointing to RSV (he was 2 yr 3 mo at the time and going to daycare) but when we went in we saw Dr. Cai and she refused to test for RSV and instead tested for CoVID which was negative. She then simply said it wasn't RSV season and that he probably just has another virus and sent us on our way. We should have insisted and advocated (even tho why should we have too?) to be tested for RSV because low and behold one week later we were in the ER with our 4 month daughter because SHE had RSV...wonder where she got it from? we told Dr. Taylor at her well checkup that she had RSV which she got from our son who did come in and Dr. Cai didn't test him for it. She asked how old he was? Because if he was older then usually RSV doesn't affect kids (Even though she had seen him for his 2 year check up, she didn't remember him). When we said how old he was she just said "oh" and moved on. I think she knew Dr. Cai should have tested him for RSV too. Next incident just happened and is why we'll be switching pediatricians. We took our now 2 1/2 year old in because we were on day 3 of him spiking a fever to 104 if we didn't consistently give him Motrin/Tylenol every 4 hours. We took him in and the visit was maybe all 5 minutes. Dr. Cai checked his feet and hands, looked down his throat and I THINK she checked his ears but I'm not even sure it was so quick and short. She asked why we brought him in and I said because his fever was so high and it'd been three days. She said oh 104 isn't high. I then asked what's high then??? To which she replied 107/108! Like what?!! I would never let my child get that high before taking action! It really seemed she was advising me to let his temp get that high because it's "no big deal". Wow. Then she insisted his throat looked fine but I was persistent this time that he have a strep throat test because I honestly don't trust her judgement. She was right but the fact that I've lost all trust in the doctor is definitely reason to jump ship. As mentioned, the office is nice and clean and we never wait. The nurses are great but the two doctors seem burnt out or something. Just not super friendly and overall short and cold during visits.

My son looked forward to seeing her every week. She made every session fun with games, her great sense of humor, and the warmth she brought to each appointment. We also worked with her for myofunctional therapy, and it was incredible to see my son's progress with his "R" sound over the months as she helped him build tongue strength and improve posture. We made huge strides in reducing his mouth breathing, and she guided us with care and expertise through a frenectomy he ultimately needed. In just eight months with Reid, my son made more progress than he had in seven years with other therapists. I can't recommend her highly enough--there's no doubt anyone who works with her will love her just as much as we do!
