I called and spoke to the office and they were no help either. The Nurse Option One supplied to come to my house told me she smoked weed and used Methadone after I questioned the heavy smell of weed. It was a very scary experience. I would not recommend anyone from that company for any type of quality healthcare service.

I simply did not feel that her safety, dignity, and recovery needs would be properly supported. My mother needed help standing, walking with a walker, and getting to the bathroom safely. Instead, we were told that a walker would not be readily available and that staff would not assist her with getting up to use the restroom. The alternative presented to us appeared to be leaving her in diapers. For someone who had just undergone knee surgery and was sent there specifically to regain mobility and independence, this was deeply troubling. We were also asked to sign a consent form concerning sleeping medication at night. While I understand that medications may sometimes be medically appropriate, given the other concerns we were already experiencing, I was not comfortable agreeing to anything without clearer explanations and reassurance. The most heartbreaking part of my visit was seeing other vulnerable patients asking me a complete stranger for water because they said staff had not brought them any. When I informed a staff member, the response I received was that they did not need water. Watching elderly and dependent patients plead for such a basic necessity was something I could not ignore. I understand that every family may have a different experience, and I can only speak about what I personally saw and was told during my mother's time there. However, what I witnessed was serious enough that I could not leave her in their care. A rehabilitation facility should help patients safely rebuild their strength, confidence, and independence while protecting their basic dignity. Unfortunately, that was not the environment I observed. If your loved one is being considered for this facility, please visit in person and ask very specific questions about access to walkers, bathroom assistance, hydration, medication policies, staffing, hygiene, and the actual rehabilitation schedule. Pay close attention, and do not be afraid to advocate for them. I am thankful that I was present and able to bring my mother home. My heart remains with the patients who may not have family nearby to speak up for them.

Furthermore, their lack of customer service training necessitates immediate attention. Some nurses displayed rude and unfriendly attitudes, posing a negative demeanor towards patients and visitors. They lack the necessary skills to conduct themselves professionally in front of patients and their families. During my presence, I witnessed patients expressing distress and seeking assistance. When we addressed these issues, the nurses retaliated, demanding that we cease our actions. It is imperative that the Department of Health intervene promptly to address these concerns.

I am only 57 and I was told that hip replacement usually happens in older adults. Any way I could tell as soon as I got there that I was going to be taken care of. From nursing to social services to OT and PT... everyone just seems to care about each patient... individually. Shout out to ABNER from OT, ANNABELL from PT, both have helped me with strengthening muscles and range of motion. They made sure to give me a plan to take with upon discharge. I am so grateful. Nurses CHRISTIAN and ELLE were always going above and beyond. CNA's Maria, Maria and Vanessa helped with all the tasks I needed assistance with... lol Kitchen staff delivered creamer and hot water in the morning (for my instant coffee delivered by Uber Eats) BEFORE BREAKFAST !! (Nit true). A few days ago, I was there for 5 hours to visit her. I witnessed two staff members getting angry and upset in the public hallways of the facility... very unprofessional! My friend has told me that it can take up to an hour and a half for for someone to answer her . This is unacceptable! I don't understand why, when she told PT that she had a bathroom need, they didn't just take her to the bathroom in her room. Instead PT helped her into the bed where my friend had to called on the call light for assistance into the bathroom. Ridiculous!!

He loves the Activities Room, and the games, snacks, and camaraderie Stoney Point provides. There is always someone available to care for him and assist him. It seems that the "home" has as many employees as patients, and to a person, the staff is conscientious, patient, and competent. Not only are they kind and sympathetic to my son, but I observe on my daily visits they treat all of patients in the same loving way. As to comments in mostly older reviews, there are never people lying on the floor, and they all are in fresh and clean clothing. The facility is also hospitable to visitors, most of whom appear to be loved ones as I am. There is a lovely, landscaped yard for visiting outside the Activity-dining room. Visiting hours are generous from 8-8, and the front desk polices ensure that no one who is ill enters the facility. There are many bathrooms for guests and staff, in addition to the patients restrooms in the rooms. They are clean and sanitary, and are constantly being cleaned. There are a quartet of nurses at the nurses station, who are answering questions and solving problems around the clock. The person in charge of the nursing staff, Eleanor, is bright and has clearly instilled in her employees a culture of hard work, sympathy and concern for all of the patients. No place is perfect, and we have had a problem with lost clothes. On the other hand, the chief social worker has offered to reimburse me for the lost clothing. I have no connection with Stoney Point in any way, but with great appreciation, I wanted to write this review. Each time when I finish my visit, I leave with the confidence that my son will safe and cared for.
