My husband and I were running errands around the area and noticed that Chickin Drip was new. The place looked promising, and we love Nashville hot chicken. Figured we'd give it a try. We got a combo#4 to share, which included two chicken tender sliders with coleslaw and a side of fries. It was around 12pm on a Sunday when we stopped by. Chicken Drip wasn't super busy, so we were able to get our food quickly. I think we waited no more than 5 minutes for our order to be picked up at the counter. By the looks of how the sandwich was prepared, it was pretty clear that everything must've been the food was just reheated. The sliced cheese, which was an add-on, wasn't even melted in the sandwich which goes to show that the chicken was lukewarm. Also I didn't find the sandwich to taste like a hot chicken sandwich from Nashville, TN at all. Let's take good ol' Hattie B's, for example. The beauty of their chicken is its double-coating dredge makes the skin extra crispy and crunchy. Chickin Drip's chicken tender had soggy skin in my opinion. I was also not a fan of how pasty tasting and cakey the dry rub was. The only thing I really liked from the entire meal was the fries. They were honestly great. Crispy and seasoned well. Came here for late night food after a night out. It's open late and the store was packed when we came in at midnight. Eventually our group of three were the last people in the store. I got the combo #3 - 2 tenders, slaw, pickles, fries, and secret sauce. Unfortunately, both tenders have to be the same level of heat. Since it was my first time, I wanted to try two different levels of heat to see which one I can handle better. I ended up going with the higher spice, the X-tra hot. I think it's reasonably priced. The flavors were delicious. Upon my first bite, I knew it was going to be difficult for me the next morning but it was worth the pain. Luckily my friend didn't want their pickles and slaw so I was able to cool down with it. The meat was juicy and the spice hurt so good. If I want a more enjoyable experience next time though, I'd go for regular hot. I had to take breaks in between and get more water. The fries were crispy and soft on the inside. Dipping them in the secret sauce helped with the heat. One of my friends got the sandwich while the other got the loaded fries. We all ended up very happy after getting hungry after a night out. In San Jose, and in the mood for some fried chicken. Without any local knowledge, I leaned heavily on a Google search for some inspiration. The results were plentiful, and as I scrolled down the list, I couldn't help but notice the chicken in the photos for Chickin Drip. Like a cartoon, my eyes went out on stalks, and hearts clouded my vision. I guess my decision was made. It was quiet when I went in, which was awesome timing because I was able to get some insider information on the levels of spice, which range from none to holy chick. I went with hot, which is right in the middle. Adventurous with a healthy dose of caution. I got the Combo #2, which consists of a chicken sandwich with tender and fries. The chicken sandwich had coleslaw, pickle, and a delicious sauce. The chicken was moist, plump, and a decent size. I was not disappointed. To the reviewers saying the chicken is dry and flavourless, I'd suggest a covid test. Not everything is going to appeal to all tastes, but for those who blame the food for their weak-ass constitution and inability to handle spice? That's on them. The tender was equally well spiced and served on what I imagine was a slice of Hawaiian bread because it had the light fluffy texture of the rolls with the same hint of sweetness. It's a great combination. The fries were well cooked, not over, or underdone, with a satisfying crunch present in each bite. Should be 2.5 I decided to try it out because In N Out was packed. This replaced the former Smoking Pig Newhall location, I believe. I never visited that location so I don't know how much renovation was done, but this store is rather bare in decor. Bathroom condition could be improved. I would say it's about on par with the hot chicken sandwich chains, with Dave's currently ahead slightly iny preferences. The toasted bread was probably the best part of the meal. The cole slaw was maybe more vinegar-based? Unsure but it didn't taste vinegary at all. I thought it was good even if different from what you would normally get at a hot chicken sandwich place. Fries were ok, overcooked. The chicken meat was ok but I've had better chicken (taste and texture) elsewhere. The coating was harder than what I have had in other places, the least pleasing part of the sandwich and I didn't feel like finishing that part. I orders mild but the color of the coating was very dark, probably due to overcooking. Service was ok. Coke products for the soda fountain. Visited this place on Saturday because I would always see ads for them on Instagram. The food quality was good and flavorful. I ended up getting the medium heat level and it was the right amount of heat in my opinion (not to spicy) if I had to compare this place is very very identical to Dave's hot chicken on a lot of aspects. We really came here for the flaming but they said we needed to email the waiver two days ahead which kinda sucked because most places allow you to sign the waivers in store, but they didn't so we went with the second hottest one and it wasn't super spicy to us. Over $100 in Food was ordered through door dash. They came by with 1 order out of the 5. And that took awhile for that to arrive. They left and were supposed to come back with the rest that they forgot . They only brought only 3 and one of them was missing the rest of their order, another one never got their order at all, and the other 2 came but it was completely cold. As cold as the pickles and slaw that it came with. This took 2 hours from ordering. Not sure what the communication was between the dasher and chikin drip or whose fault it was but at the end of the day everything still was wrong. Happy to see Chikin Drip has opened their own storefront after having operated from a food truck for some time. Located near the airport in a store plaza, there is plenty of parking. There are several tables inside and a few tables outside for outdoor dining. I noticed that most of the tables inside weren't wiped down (crumbs on the table). The staff working appear to be younger adults and/or college students. Although they were on their phones due to it not being busy, they immediately put their phone away when I approached the register to order. They were friendly in greeting. I ordered a combo #1 (slider and fries) as well as a combo #2 (slider, tender + toast, and fries). Perhaps we just got lucky, but our combo #2 had an extra tender in there! The price for the combo #2 is really good given the amount of food you get. It tastes pretty much the same as when they operated from a food truck. I wish there was more slaw on the sliders to balance out the seasoning and chicken. Overall, the chicken is seasoned well and is tender and juicy. The fries are also seasoned well and crispy. I like their sauce they give in each of the combos. Additional sauce costs an additional fee, but I did feel that the sauce they give was enough for me (I don't tend to use a lot of sauce though). Overall, Chikin Drip offers its own unique flavor. I'll be back when craving it! read more

I came here and ordered the #1 a hot Chicken sandwich with seasoned fries. The Chicken was nothing special. It just tasted like unseasoned chicken. It wasn't juicy. It was small in size and dry on the inside by oily somehow on the outside? It wasn't crunchy and instead it was sorta SANDY?! I didn't like the texture at all.
