I went downstairs (we were at Valley Medical Hospital) to get Ronnie since he wanted to come to visit Gavin, and so since we saw food trucks, we figured we should grab lunch. + Classic Chicken Sandwich for Gavin + Chicken Tenders and Fries for Ronnie + Nashville Hot Chicken for me (opted for spice level 5) Food did not take long at all. They accept cards. You don't have to tolerate/like spicy foods to enjoy a meal here. The chicken was not greasy and was crispy and juicy as well. Fortunately, a little after we devoured our meals (Gavin barely finished half of his), we were given the discharge approval since he was able to hop/use the walker and use the wheelchair. Different food trucks line up the drop-off area, convenient for staff and visitors to fuel up. It's never fun to be at the hospital. The hospital displays the QR code so you can see which trucks will be there, so you can plan ahead.

We ordered the Texas chicken sandwich and chicken strips. Portions were generous, and the sandwich was super tasty. The strips were fresh and flavorful, but be careful with the spice levels! We ordered level 1 and it was flaming hot. Even level 0 has a kick, so I'd recommend going one level lower than you normally would. The curly fries were also great. Overall, a solid 4/5. The only star off was for the spice-level calibration. Great food and portions, and we'll definitely be back!

It's clean and has a lot more space than the truck. Food might take longer because of the demanding service. Fried chicken is always consistent and leaves little room for improvement. First the good, Your favorites are still there and are just as good served across a counter as they were handed down from a food truck window. We split their sliders with Louisiana Rub and fries and loved them as we always have. Secondly, it was a bit slow on this Thursday night. I believe Jojo's Kooser road customers haven't found their new home. Third, some thoughts on the location. It's clean but utilitarian and basic. I'd love to see it get a little soul and perhaps provide more of a nod to the food truck past. Maybe also expand the menu with the larger kitchen? Jojo's still has the sandwiches we love and it will be fun to watch it grow into its new space. (Loved the Jeremiah and Corinthians references too. Appropriately hopeful)

This place has been on my list for a while now…read more I called for a to-go order on 4/12/26 and got the Kao Gai Sap and fried chicken skins. When I came by, there wasn't really any other patrons there so picking up my food was easy. Inside was very decorative too, it has that mom-and-pop vibe to it. Kao Gai Sap (5/5) - The chicken was soft and juicy on the inside, and crispy on the outside. It came with a chili dipping sauce, and I opted for white rice instead of chicken rice. This has to be by far the BEST chicken I've ever had. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. Cucumber was crisp and refreshing, although I do wish there were a few more slices. Would definitely order this again. Also, this Kao Gai Sap also came with a small portion of soup which was also equally as good! When you order this, make sure to ask for it LAAB STYLE! Crispy chicken skin (5/5) - I mean it's fried chicken skin, but I'm pretty sure they used the same salt/pepper seasoning on this as they did with the Kao Gai Sap, which gave it a nice flavor profile as opposed to being plain. The lemon-pepper dipping sauce was the perfect pairing with the chicken skin. The lemon flavor was there as well as the pepper, but both were very mild and didn't overpower each other. That dipping sauce made a HUGE difference. ALSO GET THIS LAAB STYLE! Will definitely be coming back because I'm hooked now. No one does chicken like Tuk Tuk!

I especially appreciate that they remove the bones and nails, so it's easy to enjoy just the skin and cartilage aka the best parts! The flavors are delicious, and they even let you sample them before buying. I always am in between, but I keep going back to Thai! The Thai style taste a bit like Vietnamese style and is fish sauce forward but not strong. My favorite is the Thai Style snd then the Spicy. It's a great snack on its own, but I also love eating it with rice. I usually visit the Great Mall location in Milpitas. Just a heads-up: popular flavors can sell out when it's busy, but the main store typically has the full selection. I hope Kickin Flavors opens up more locations in the South Bay!

As much as I love the deep fried, stewed, saucy dim sum chicken feet, I grew up eating chicken feet akin to the ones at Kickin flavors, so I was thrilled to check them out. They are located next to a Ranch 99 in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. The store is small but clean and cute. There is a display case with all the chicken foot flavors, pre-packaged. The man working there was very friendly and allowed me to sample all the flavors. I tried the Thai, the spicy, and the garlic, and ended up going for the garlic (though the Thai was a close contender!) The chicken feet are cut into smaller pieces and deboned quite well. The garlic flavor is pungent and refreshing; I definitely needed mouthwash after eating it though! The flesh is crunchy and flavorful, just super super satisfying. Overall, the chicken feet here are quite well made and prepared. I think the price is a bit steep but you definitely get what you pay for. As someone who likes deboning the chicken feet myself, it did feel like I was missing that 2% to take this place to the next level. I would love for them to also offer bone-in chicken feet at a slightly lower price, I would totally go for that!

We arrived on a Sunday afternoon for lunch recently. The restaurant is located in downtown San Jose off north 1st street. Parking is accessible in the back parking lot. The spaces can be tight but there is additional parking on 2nd street as well. The restaurant is fairly large with plenty of tables and high tops. A full service bar is located to the right as soon as you walk in. The restaurant is clean and has nice modern decor. The vibe is welcoming and bustling. We ordered uncle Greg's smoked ribs with cornbread, candied yams, and rice, beef brisket with cornbread, coleslaw, and mac & cheese, watermelon lemonade, lemonade, and a glass of Chardonnay. Everything was delicious and hearty. Both the ribs and beef brisket were tender and juicy. All the sides complemented the bbq meats very well. The candied yams were sweet and tasty. Mac & cheese were creamy and gooey. The cornbread was tasty and moist in the inside. Both lemonade drinks were refreshing and hit the spot. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Jackie's Place. The staff were so nice and attentive. I appreciated the cozy and family friendly atmosphere. Price point was fair. I definitely want to come back to try the happy hour and of course other items on the menu.

I also found the chicken rice less fragrant than what I'm used to and a little dry as well, although the soup was good. The portion also felt smaller than expected for the price.
