    Half chicken, good stuff!

Awesome fusion food. Cooked fresh, friendly service, pisco sour drink was pretty awesome too (don't find them often). Ordered the lomo saltado and got a half chicken for free as part of their opening promo that I ate later on. Would def come back even if it's a little out of the way.

So EXCITED I do not have to travel to NYC for this delicious rarity in the Scranton PA. The service was excellent, and the hot tea hit the spot.

I was in the mood for Peruvian food and came across this restaurant. I called in my order of the shrimp tallarin saltado. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and a nice man helped me. I paid, grabbed my food, and left. When I dug in the meal was very good. The noodles were angel hair but it was good. They also put in a good amount of shrimp. I enjoyed.

This restaurant never disappoints. The portions are amazing and the food even better. Scranton needed something like this. As a city girl, I know great food. I am picky and FOR ME, Scranton has been lacking but now with Chifa Peru, maybe things will take a turn as other restaurants learn how to be a highly successful business in all aspects! The service and food are exceptional.

Absolutely delicious and wholesome food. Fresh grilled chicken with french fries and some lovely sauce to put on them. I love the drink which is made in a traditional way done in Peru and in Ecuador. Fast service and very reliable

Strongly recommend, chinese and Peruvian infusion, very clean place, spacious and very friendly staff members. At least one staff member is able to speak 4 different languages. Cantonese, Mandarin, English, and Spanish.

I look experiencing new foods period.. they do not disappoint... being from an island myself when you realize the influence of the work trade and how it can influence food.. why not?? This establishment caters to your needs and you can easily ask questions... it's strange that it does more takeout thank In dining.. but I recommend it

corn nuts while waiting for my meal.

I was here for lunch mid week. I had the rotisserie chicken with french fries and salad with an an Inca cola.. It was amazingly good portions were large and the service was reasonably quick. it was $15.50 before tip and I had enough leftover for dinner. Chinese & Peruvian cuisine seem like and odd mixture but I can tell you the Peruvian chicken is worth getting again. Didn't live so far away I would make this a staple go to restaurant

What a surprise for what could be considered mall food?! While this spot isn't in the food court,…read moreit is in the mall, so I had my doubts. But very happy we went because the food absolutely hit the spot. A warm loaded soup for a cold wintry day and a hearty fried rice platter to warm my soul. Excellent dishes at sizable portion sizes. The bill was a bit funny with a service charge already added as a group of two diners, but this misstep can be overlooked. Definitely don't let initial impressions be the judge and stop you from trying this legit dining option of real platters and not fast food.

(She didn't speak) every other person racially profiled me and assumed I can speak Spanish - even though I spoke English the entire time. I go to the bag where the hostest pointed - and it's actually a customers bag and she snatches it back from me. Now the busboys, bartender, hostest & servers are all having a good laugh at me & I'm unsure what they said because I don't speak Spanish. But I grabbed the real bag and got out of there. And get this - their customer didn't even tip.

I knew the flavor of the food was going to be excellent, and mom was very impressed and happy..lol I was happy she enjoyed the food a lot. Now, while we waited for the food, the waitress brought us Peruvian toasted corn that was really delicious in taste. I ordered the Ceviche and another dish with the Steak. The Steak, I requested it half order as I thought it could be too big, but not, I should had ordered the complete Steak dish, it was delicious. Everything is delicious, Fish or Steak, is only great and greater flavors. I love how I can try food from different countries, with their original and unique flavors and seasonings without having to fly out of the US. This absolutely, a must have.

Even though Aromas is "across the street from Cooper's," it might as well be a different world. Not…read morequite downtown, not quite Pine Brook, selecting this location is either an indication of confidence or foolhardiness. Overall, I don't think that confidence is misplaced. Aromas serves excellent Peruvian food, my primary compliment being for the large ceviches made to order. My first complaint is that the restaurant space is an assault on the senses. The relatively small main room/bar has an outrageous assortment of lights, including two strands of blinking lights as well as two TVs, contrasting decor, a chirping smoke detector, and music that sounded like it was clashing with different music being played in the main dining room. I'm close to a 0/10 for ambiance here. The second, more mainstream complaint is that the prices are high, maybe even outlandishly high for Scranton. The portions are large but this was the first time in my adult life that I ever winced at a menu in Scranton. What was supposed to be a moderate lunch for two ended up being a $100+ extravaganza that would have been difficult to finish in a dinner seating. Other thing was that two of the fried mussels in my entree had cracked shells--would have liked to see more quality control for such an expensive dish. Otherwise it was good. Overall, this is a unique restaurant serving basically everything in splittable portions and I look forward to returning. (Yes, this lot containing one of the last remaining preserved "Scranton Horses" almost convinced me to give an extra star.)

I am new to the area and so I searched on Yelp to see what would be available on such short notice…read more- it's New Years Eve 2024! As those who follow me know I rate each grubbery on its own merits. Each stands alone. This spot definitely does. And I'm so happy it does. Also know that I rarely give 5-Stars. This spot deserves it because it is obviously proud of what it does. I came across this restaurant on YELP with no posts...no reviews...no pics. NOTHING but the address and contact info. Usually I simply swipe past these and go to places reviewed. I kept coming back to this spot wondering why no one had commented. Not a one!? Anyway, I called and made a reservation. We arrived and were quickly greeted and seated. Jennifer, the server, was great. She took our drink orders - Pina Colada and a Corona. Mom loved the Pina Colada and the Corona was almost frozen! Perfect. When I saw listed on the appetizer/salad section an Octopus Salad my eyes widened. The reason being that as a child my mother made an incredible octopus salad. It was one of those dishes that stuck with you. But, I have never ordered it anywhere and enjoyed it. Except for tonight. The Octopus Salad I am EXCELLENT starter. It was super tender. It was not fishy. It was truly amazing. Me and my guest really REALLY enjoyed it and will definitely have this the next time we return. Delicious!! I also ordered the Coconut Shrimp appetizer. The surprise here was the Orange Marmalade served as a dip. It was great. For dinner I ordered the Mofongo w/ Lobster - Mofongo made with chicharron, and the Fried Red Snapper - 1.5 lbs was served with Tostones & a Small Salad. I also ordered the Veg of the Day: Broccoli & Carrots - cooked perfectly and tossed in a garlic butter sauce. Everything...EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!! I could not believe it. Each dish served was equal if not better than the previous one. The Red Snapper was crispy and seasoned perfectly. The Tostones were crunchy on the outside and pillowy on the inside. The dip served - a garlic mojo - was awesome. My mom's Mofongo was also very very good! She did have a little trouble with the lobster tail. My suggestion to the chef and management is that they split the shell to make accessing the lobster meat easier. It was a chore. Make it easier. The entire dinner was exceptional. Truly. We were very happy and will make this a regular grub spot. I asked to speak to the cook. Her name is Elba. She works dinners. Ask if she's present and let her know you were sent by the Puerto Rican Chef. Server Jennifer was very friendly and courteous. The best thing was that dinner was not rushed!! I hate when I'm eating a course and the next course is brought out. She was super professional and accommodating. The decor is festive!! It's super clean!! There is plenty of parking. The music they play is apropos for this establishment. I believe it was heavy on Bachata. There is a full bar. And here's another great surprise - they have outside seating! But, wait!! The outside patio has a few "igloos". Private seating for nights where the weather doesn't let you sit outdoors. Each igloo sits up to 8 people. You can dine outside in the cold weather because the igloos" are heated!! Yes. HEATED IGLOOS you dine in! Pretty cool!! What a wonderful surprise this place has turned out to be. We will not only be back but we will also be telling our friends and family that THIS should be a stop of theirs...regularly. Come check this Latino/Peruvian/Dominican grubbery and truly enjoy the flavors.
