Love the workers and owner, you can tell how hard they work even when the weather isn't too great. Service is relatively fast, but I usually do pick up and they are usually accurate with how long it takes for the food to be made. My favorites have to be a lot of the combos, cheese wontons, wonton soup, pork fried rice, and boneless spare ribs. Food is reasonably priced, and the combos come with a lot of stuff. They usually can accommodate your allergies and wants. There is a section of white chicken dishes. For combos, I ask for a soup instead of the egg roll. The wontons in the wonton soup are homemade and is made from all pork. They are huge and the skin is thick.

I also notice that I am paying $12 for delivery, but that is besides the point. They're right down the street. Guy answers, says his manager will call me back. He does. I said it still He says if you have a problem with our delivery time call doordash. So I mention you don't use doordash for delivery, it says so on the page. He says if I don't like it, "call doordash". Me: Is still being made, Them: "No!". Me: Is it being delivered? Them: "Yes!". Me: If you don't use the website to track delivery, how will I know when it arrives? Will they call me? Them: "No! Go wait for it!". Me: When did it leave? Them: "It already left!". Me: When? Them: "It's already gone, call doordash!" It's been over an hour, the website still says "Being Prepared". It was delivered, and the Egg Rolls are missing. I can't complain there because it still says "Being Prepared" and they won't answer their phone. First guy on the phone who passed on the message seemed nice, Delivery person was great, when they showed up. Feel sorry for her. Food is terribly bland.

They didn't deliver to our hotel, which was 9 miles away, so I drove to pick it up. When I got back to the hotel we noticed that they severely messed up our order. They forgot 2 egg rolls that were supposed to come with the dinner specials. They forgot our order of steamed dumplings and a pint of hot and sour soup. A third of our order was forgotten, even though each missing item was circled on the menu in purple marker. They even forgot the chopsticks, even though the word "chop sticks" was written in large purple letters on the menu. When I called about their mistake they at first said they would deliver the forgotten items. However, I was shortly called back to be told that if I wanted the items I would have to drive back there to get them, because they don't deliver this far. Frustrated, I had them reimburse my credit card. All in all the food was good, but the service was terrible.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to share my concerns…read more First and foremost, the stick beef was extremely dried out and lacked any flavor. It was quite disappointing. The wonton soup was no better; the broth tasted bland and resembled dirty dishwater. While the wontons themselves were somewhat acceptable in taste, the absence of bok choy, greens, or roast pork slices left the dish feeling incomplete. Additionally, the roast pork egg roll was underwhelming, tasting more like a fried piece of cabbage with very little, if any, roast pork inside. The chicken and broccoli dish was particularly unappetizing; the broccoli seemed old and unwashed, with a gritty texture that reminded me of sand. The chicken had a slimy quality, leading me to believe it was either microwaved or just days old. The brown sauce accompanying it was as bland as the wonton soup broth, and despite my attempts to enhance the flavor with soy sauce and other sauces, nothing helped. The fried rice was misleadingly labeled; it was simply yellow rice with a few scattered pieces of roast pork, hardly what one would expect from fried rice. Once again, the roast pork tasted as if it was past its prime. I had a far better experience with a Chinese restaurant during a recent trip to Alabama, where my parents and I enjoyed fresh and flavorful dishes, that were remarkably different than what we were used to in NY, which included shrimp and chicken in the wonton soup as well as other different types of recipes than we were used to, however my complaint and dissatisfaction was not about differences between restaurants but the freshness and quality of the food from Hot Wok. It was a stark contrast to what I received from Hot Wok in Scranton, Pennsylvania. After writing my review and complaint to DoorDash I went online and looked at several other reviews other than what's listed on DoorDash and it seems like I'm not the only one who has had problems with their order from Hot Wok in Scranton, Pennsylvania! Don't let their 4.5 out of 5 review on DoorDash fool you, they have a 2.8 on Yelp and a 3.8 on Google and a 3.4 on Trip Advisor! A few past DoorDash employees mentioned that they saw, took pictures and uploaded them here of frozen chicken sitting out in a bin and NOT stored to Health Department guidelines so you have been warned!
