Shrimp quesadilla
Glenn G.

We were in Raleigh to see a comedy show at the nearby Martin Marietta Center and had a discount to this place through a local dining club. We weren't famished and only ordered a birria burrito and a shrimp quesadilla. My wife said her burrito was okay but I was very disappointed in the quesadilla. There was little shrimp and mostly cheese; no grilled veggies or other ingredients. We didn't even see any salsa or other condiments. In my opinion, not worth what we paid for it. It's fast casual so you order at the counter and pick up your order when ready. There is a bar area as well but nobody seemed to be tending it when we were there. I'm afraid there wasn't enough here to bring us back.

The food was pretty good overall. The tacos were $4-5 each, which felt a bit pricey but they were still good and definitely satisfied the craving. The queso wasn't my favorite but I'd definitely come back to try other items on the menu. The restaurant was clean. I could tell the staff prioritized a clean environment for their customers, they were constantly cleaning while I was there. Even during peak lunch hour, I didn't have any trouble finding a table. The interior was so cute and nicely decorated. One thing to note -- if you're wanting the grilled birria tacos, you need to specifically order the quesabirria. I made the mistake of just asking for a birria taco and ended up with a regular one instead. Not sure if that's common knowledge, but I definitely won't make that mistake again

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat before a concert. The food came out super fast. By the time we grabbed our seat and sat down the pager started to go off. I really loved the tacos here. They felt and tasted very authentic compared to a lot of taco joints in the area. The taco sauces and topping were all pretty good too and tasted fresh. The tacos themselves were filled with flavor - they were perfectly seasoned and marinated. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but there were an annoying amount of flies by the sauce and topping station. I had to protect my food from the flies as I tried to fill up the sauces.

ACP Grilled Chicken

Took the ACP was very filling added some veggies fr the salsa bar - onions, radish, cucumbers & cilantro (went a little overboard with the cilantro by mistake)! Their arbol sauce was delish! Service was quick and efficient.they have a nice bar area to sit at inside as well as outdoor seating that was nice and breezy (we sat outside). Wanted to try the baja fish tacos and a the birria tacos as well! Next time.

This place was awesome! Great menu with lots of yummy choices. I got the bowl with carnitas and added a side of queso to it. So good and so much food for a good price!

Have gone here many times and it's always delicious! Nice staff, delicious drinks. Both indoor and outdoor seating.

Reasonably priced, fresh, hot, flavorful Quesaabirria & extremely tasty Cucumber Spicy skinny Margarita. Welcoming, helpful customer service. A few seats inside and plenty of tables outside.

Now this spot looks bigger than it does If you're looking at it from the outside so just keep that in mind. They have a full bar in the back, the bar is predominantly tequila so just keep that in mind as well! I got a bunch of stuff, and everything I had was pretty good! You have to go and order your food and then wait till it gets ready and they'll call you up. They have a buzzer situation so just be aware that you probably should not go too far if you're waiting for food. Birria tacos - They were really good and they came with everything you needed to make it great. You could go up to the little bar that had cilantro and onions and all sorts of sauces to help doctor it up if you needed it to be doctored up. But these had a really good flavor and were super juicy even before you dipped them. Chips and queso - The chips were okay, they were chips lol. But the queso what's good. Nothing to complain about. The queso was pretty good. Chicken and Steak taco - So just because, I got a couple of tacos as well. The tacos are actually pretty decent honestly. The steak was a little bit more chewy and I would have liked it to be, but it still had a good flavor to it. The chicken was good as well. The chicken needed a little bit of sauce to it which was why the sauce ball is really useful! You got a lot of food and you get bang for your buck here So I could definitely see myself coming back.

Food is fresh and tasty. Fast service. Reasonable prices. Has become a favorite when we are visiting the Raleigh area.

What to watch for when looking for fabulous tacos and burritos
Troy M.

I walked in for my take out order of two burritos three fish tacos and some really cool barilla rolls. Society to sit down having a glass of horchata and inhaling some of the best Mexican street food I've ever been blessed enough to encounter! The place iss really upbeat inside and looks like it's got a fully stocked bar but I'm 40 ft away so I can't be sure. (It's been 12 years since my last drink but I could definitely see throwing back in this place every night if I were still drinking!) This food is some next level stuff! If I could give it six stars I would! The service was astounding and the staff is very friendly. Make it a point of getting down here to try some of the best prepared food in existence (IMHO)

Returned for dinner and had another great experience. Forget the fish tacos - the new move is the braised beef quesabirria. Queso is still fire, too.

Taco Tuesday win. The al pastor tacos had pineapple on top which added just the right amount of sweetness. The corn tortillas held up nicely and didn't fall apart. Service was super fast and friendly. Great little casual spot for a taco fix after work.

Al Pastor and Beef Belly Taco
Thomas D.

My experience at Chido Taco was excellent! The tacos that I got were really tasty, especially the Al Pastor pork taco. It had a hint of pineapple in it that complimented the pork nicely. My other taco, the beef belly taco, was also very good. I have to admit that it didn't pack as much flavor into it as the Al Pastor one did though. We also ordered chips and queso which were great. The queso had a delicious, complex cheesy flavor with a hint of spiced-ness to it. The service at this location was very prompt. We only waited a minute or two for our tacos. The restaurant has a fast casual setting, and it has plenty of seating (indoor and outdoor). When we were there, one corner of the restaurant looked to be out of its usual order. There were boxes piled up, as if they had yet to organize their stock. I hope that that isn't there usually, but it didn't bother me too much. I was too focused on how delicious the food was.

When you arrive, there is plenty of parking around the building, and entrances in the front and on the right side. Once inside, you'll walk up to counter and place your order. Your then given a order number and it's open seating. Your number will be called out in Spanish when your food is ready and you'll pick it up at the counter. I ordered an al pastor taco which unfortunately was not good. It came out extremely cold and needed a lot of salsa for it to have any flavor. I also ordered a steak burrito which was much better and was served with melted cheese on the top. There were fatty pieces throughout the burrito but this was far better than the taco. Lastly, I ordered a horchata but it tasted like grainy and wasn't great. If I'm in the area again I may give this a try but I'd definitely stick with a burrito so your food is hot.

The Jeffrey is something I longed to try. A spring roll filled carna asada, chorizo and al pastor meat mixture full of Mexican flavors and a hint of Chihuahua cheese make this Mex-Asian fusion a filling, tasty treat that has a Serrano Verde salsa on the side if you want more heat. Refried black beans were so creamy smooth I couldn't get enough of these beans I added it to my taco and dipped my spring roll in this yummy mixture. The chicken tinga taco had so much protein I took out half of portion for later. You can see fresh onions and cilantro garnish the top of braised chicken that is tender, juicy all tucked inside 2 corn tortillas. I grabbed a lime from fridge to add fresh dash of lime juice to this tasty taco. Man this is great way to start my day as if it were Feliz Navidad!

All of the employees seemed friendly and genuinely happy with their jobs. We will definitely return for a date night.

The salad included chicken, cucumber, pickled red onion, corn, crispy tortillas & oregano dressing. The salad was fresh and crisp. I really enjoyed this. I'd get double meat going forward. I also order myself carnitas (delicious) and one chicken quesadilla for my Mom. My mom is such a picky eater but she really enjoyed the quesadilla and was talking about how meaty it was for days. I'm happy with my purchase and I look forward to returning. I do recommend dining at Little Rey if you're in the area.

"They have all the smoke"…read more My first time in the Ironworks area, and me like! Free parking and crossing guards directing traffic - wonderful! Ironworks is a mixed use environment with vendors hawking wears under canopies, alongside brick and mortar stores, shops, and restaurants. Little Rey's (IMO) is Alpaca Restaurant meets Mexican in the best way possible. The line for the food was a solid 30-45 minute wait. So don't be like me, have a seat, pull out your phone, use the code on the table, view menu, and order and pay. However, they have employees who greet customers and begin your drink menu while you wait in line. We ordered the half chicken, Gringa tacos, guacamole, and queso. Little Rey has a pretty extensive salsa bar, with approximately 7-8 varieties. The salsa bar spans the gambit from mild, mid-hot, smoky, and creamy options. The star of the show is the smoked chicken! So good with the corn tortilla, green salsa, grilled onions and grilled jalapeño! Moving forward I'll add an order of the chicken taco to get the perfect bit without the mess! The Gringa/Picadillo taco was good. And while I am a Gringa, and I love a Taco Bell sour cream situation, that almost mayonnaise flavor didn't sit well with my soul. However, the meat itself was super flavorful. I'd ditch the flour tortilla for corn , and opt for another salsa, add pico, and I think we are there. We weren't a fan of the rice, if I'm being honest - but will try again. While I didn't try any alcoholic beverages on this round, I'm stoked to try on my next visit. Plenty of seating, but can get awkward if there are long lines. The party is outside, so that maybe your best bet. Looking forward to grabbing a group of friends for round dos! Northern Mexican: 4.4444
