Stopped in for a quick mid-day snack. Was quickly greeted upon entry and seated. We only had wagter to drink so no bar order. There is a full bar with seating and several monitors to watch sports. Chips and salsa was brought with our waters. The salsa was good, not spicy. We ordered three fish tacos and a side of beans. Our order came out in reasonable time. The taco ingredients included large pieces of fried fish, lettuce/cabbage with lemon wedges. We felt the beans had good flavor with cheese on top. Our table had a wood top and there was a good size chunk/hole which could collect food particles. Also went to the restroom which did not impress me. It was dirty and entire interior needed some attention. Could not find plaqured with health department rating. read more

Taco Addicts (or something that doesn't scream "chain"), what was once an Applebees is now a haven of carne asada, roasted chiles, fresh tortillas and more. The decor isn't fancy, but it's clean and honest. A few colorful murals, some bar signs and banners, and the soft hum of a sports game on one of the TV's. The booths and tables are as standard as it gets, one glance at the menu suddenly gives the impression that this is not where every dish is a bold expression of "that's fine, I guess." The salsa's from a jar, the tortillas are suspiciously uniform, and everything tastes like it was made by someone whose only seasoning is... sadness. Most importantly, the food. Quesa Birria Tacos, this is what happens when tacos get promoted. These are tacos that went to flavor grad school and came back with a crispy cheese degree. Imagine tender, slow-braised beef--we're talking birria so juicy it practically writes poetry--folded into a tortilla that's been dunked in consommé and sizzled on the griddle until golden, melty, and just slightly reckless. Taco Addicts has some of the best queso we've had in a while. I also really enjoyed the street tacos. The meat was tender and flavorful and the shrimp came with a tasty sauce. The barbacoa and campechano tacos were a bit dry so I do wish they came with a sauce as well. We ordered: cheese dip ($5), barbacoa street taco ($3.50), campechano taco ($4), fried shrimp taco ($5), California burrito ($14) with cheese dip ($1), chimi-cheesecake ($7), and horchata ($4). Online ordering is a little tricky as there are minimal descriptions listed. I toggled between the restaurant menu and the ordering system to make sure I ordered what I wanted. Our order was ready upon arrival. The host was professional and kind. He greeted us, retrieved our order, and gave us extra chips when requested. This is one of our favorite places to visit when we are in the area. The service is always friendly and helpful. The inside is pretty cool. A lot what looks like hand painted artwork and photos. The location over all is clean, even the restroom. I know that's odd, but I do pay attention to if the restrooms are well maintained. If that's not clean, I have concerns about the kitchen. Now for the important part - the food! The menu selection is large, so everyone can find something they will like. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the fish tacos. Did I tell you that I love the fish tacos? lol Now, for us we think the fajitas could be a little better. They were good, but could have been better. It was almost like the meat in some places was a little overcooked. We really like to order the tacos, the queso, and the corn more than anything. A meh way to start 2025. Nothing was necessarily good nor bad at Taco Addicts. It was your standard Mexican food but with a cardinal sin exception. I got the chicken fajitas and they forgot the tortillas. Yo...that's the whole point. The waiter didn't come back for a solid ten minutes and I was hungry so I did what I had to do. The fajitas were okay, but they were mostly okay because I ate them with a fork. There's only so much you can do with chicken, bell pepper, and onions. I did sub the rice/beans option for fries (they do have excellent fries), but mannnnnnnn you can't forget tortillas for fajitas. Eating them with a fork is just so boring. Chips and salsa was fine. Your standard Mexican fare. My wife had the Carne Asada deep fried burrito. She said it was okay. Not great. Not bad. Just kinda meh. I would probably skip this place personally because every city has a place just like this. Don't let a cool name fool you. read more

The service was average. The chips were very stale and the salsa was nothing spectacular. The bean dip was excellent. I got the chicken flautas. They were ok. The tortilla was chewy and the chicken filling was bland but otherwise ok. The brunch carne asada was good. This place is in between 3 and 4 stars. The service was excellent and food was good. The downside was the restaurant felt dirty and the bathroom was not nice. We really enjoyed the cheese there. All of our entrees were very good. I had the beef chimichangas with rice and it was very good. The chimichangas had a spoon of melted cheese over them too which was nice. The tables and booths felt dirty which is unusual for these Mexican style restaurants. The floors seemed sticky as well. It was a turn off as was the gross men's room. We had dinner at Taco Addicts and I'm sad to report we likely will not return because of the bathrooms. When I flushed the toilet in the ladies room a large amount of water came shooting out of the wall!! Unbelievable! Then I turned on the faucet to wash my hands and water sprayed every which direction. My husband went to the men's room to wash his hands and there was no hand soap! There is hand sanitizer at their entrance, so he used that. We wanted to tell our server about each issue with the bathrooms, but the poor guy was also the bartender and he was swamped. I feel so bad that they made a busy bartender wait tables too. The food is always good and I enjoy the atmosphere, so all of the above mentioned items are extra sad. read more

Was visiting family in North Carolina and had our last meal here before we headed back to California. The service and food was amazing! Definitely recommend this spot for large parties. Surprisingly the best chilaquiles I've ever had and I've eaten it many times back in CA where the Mexican spots are abundant. The potato side was unlike anything I've ever had with chilaquiles and went well with the perfectly cooked rice. Carne asada was seasoned well and eggs cooked appropriately over medium. Of course my son had to get the whole fried tilapia plate which was perfectly seasoned and not over-fried like some places tend to do. Taco addicts is located in a shopping plaza near other business but they have their own parking area. The restaurant is spacious with multiple areas to dine in. They offer appetizers, combos, burritos, tacos, seafood, lunch specials, desserts, and more. We came in the evening on a weekday and were seated right away. Once inside we were greeted and provided with complimentary chips and salsa. Our server was patient with us as we decided what we wanted to order. I ordered the Cholos taco combo which is three tacos served with rice and beans. I asked for my tacos to be served on flour tortillas. You can choose three different tacos with the exception of the seafood tacos with the combo. I got the Diablo, the valley taco, and carnitas. The rice and beans weren't bad but nothing extraordinary about them. The Diablo taco had a nice kick to it from the habaneros on the taco. It was spicy but not too hot to enjoy the taco. The valley taco consisted of carne asada, cilantro, onions, queso fresco, avocado, and guacamole salsa. It was good but not to the point where I would have to order it again. The carnitas also tasted good. Overall we had a good experience at taco addicts. I would come back to try other menu items. read more

My first time here with a friend for a late lunch. They have a large menu that does include lunch specials. I noticed they had a large selection of tacos that sounded good. We were seated quickly and a waiter came quickly as well. We got a basket of chips and salsa even before the waiter came. The chips were better than many places but the salsa was very thin. Good flavor, just very watery. We both ordered lunch fajitas. I had the chicken and my friend had the beef. Both were delicious and well prepared. It was served on a plate instead of the traditional hot skillet and there were no tortillas offered. The restaurant is very large and has both booths and tables. They are set up for large groups too. There's Latin music playing and the decor is varied...and they were well decorated for Valentine's Day too. I will return here as there are many items on the menu I would like to try and the service was very good. read more

We came here with a group of five at 6:30 on February 12, which was a Saturday. We had originally intended to go elsewhere, but without a reservation, most places were booked. We were excited to learn that this place was able to accommodate us without a wait. I had heard good things so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, most of us agreed that the food was underwhelming. I ordered two tacos from the menu and one of them had a green sauce on it that was not exactly spicy as much as it was sour and unpleasant. I also expected from the description that the tortilla would be fried/grilled/crispy, and it was the same as the other tortilla. Likewise, my spouse ordered a margarita which had no flavor. It wasn't even that it tasted a bit weak, or that we could not taste the alcohol, it really just tasted like ice. No margarita flavor, or anything. My spouse expressed this to the server who asked if she would like another drink and she declined. The bartender came over and again asked her if she would like another drink and she said no but he insisted that he would make her another one. He then brought over a really beautiful drink and a beautiful mug that did taste good, however, we were a bit bummed to find that she was charged for the large margarita ($14), especially since she declined the replacement drink several times. Stopped by Taco Addicts after passing it a few times going shopping. Finally decided to stop in today and check it out. First, I thought it was a to go only place, so when I got in and saw that it was a dine in spot I was surprised. I was able to do to go, so I got their taco toreado and valley taco. Both were very similar with onions, cheese, cilantro, green salsa, and beef. I really liked the flavor of both tacos, but it was difficult to eat them as the tortillas were very soggy and fell a part. I was able to use the provided fork and eat the yummy toppings! The sogginess may be due to them being to go versus eating in. Also, I loved that the order came with chips and salsa. The chips were crispy and the salsa had a nice kick to it--not too spicy though, but a good warming flavor. I finished it maybe too quickly. Since now I know that Taco Addicts is not just a to go spot, I will be back to sit and eat in. I will be back! read more

I have been by Taco Addicts several times but haven't had the chance to stop in until now. My friend ordered the 3 tacos and I apologize for not remembering which she had ordered. She really enjoyed them and would definitely order them again. I had the chicken enchiladas. The chicken was more chopped than shredded and was lacking in flavor. I didn't see for the red sauce as it had a very smoky flavor to it and the rice had a lot of hard pieces in it which was very off putting. Service was really good and only had to ask for 1 thing throughout our time there. I would go back and try something else as there is definitely a lot to choose from. read more

Now a second top, read each ingredient of what's listed on the menu as each taco or item is very specifically made and has lots of toppings. I ordered two tacos - taco toreado and vampire taco. The taco toreado has carne Asada that is perfectly tender and delicious, a hallowed out jalapeño that wraps around everything along with the corn tortilla, cheese, onions and guacamole salsa. This was definitely a show stopper. Perfect spice from the jalapeño but not too much. My second taco was the vampire taco, I subbed chicken for carne asada. The corn tortilla was fried and crunchy. There was cheese, cilantro, onions and a Diablo sauce that had an excellent slow gradual release of spice. Also delicious. Another highlight were the margs. I got the medium strawberry marg with a sugar rim. The flavor was powerfully strawberry and tasted like fresh purée. My aunt ordered the mango and agreed that it was incredibly fresh and tasty. Tried this place since we were in the area. Wanted some shrimp tacos but from what we saw they only had fried ones. They come highly recommended and we will try next time. We tried the Goku burrito and the steak burrito. Loved both of them! The steak was seasoned very well and the goku also had shrimp in it that was a great size and seasoned great. Wish the ingredients were more evenly distributed because all the steak and shrimp was on one side and the fries and other ingredients were on the other. Went in for take out and was offered a seat and drink while waiting. Was greeted at the dow with a smile and very helpful with the menu. We received chips and salsa with the meal as well. Place was nice and clean. Bar was full service and heard one guest very happy with her drink she had. Would also recommend for families. Great experience at Taco Addicts. Our waiter was super attentive and great with suggestions. He introduced us to the spicy green sauce which packed some heat but had some serious flavor! Good chips and salsa to snack on while your meal is prepared. The margaritas are delicious and not made from a mix. I thought the CA burrito was tasty, especially with some green sauce on it. Not had a burrito with fries in it before. Daughter enjoyed her virgin pina colada and steak entree. The food was pretty good. I had the ACC, however, I did order chicken but instead they gave me shrimp. Very flavorful, the lunch portion was smaller than I anticipated. Taco Addicts is tucked back in the corner at Crossroads in a former chain restaurant location. Inside is spacious with lots of seating and a good sized bar. First impression is that the restaurant is immaculate inside and the staff clearly keeps it that way. We were pleasantly surprised to find authentic tacos on the menu so chose to try those. If you like lengua or tripa, theirs is excellent and made very well. Their fish taco too is very well made with excellent flavor. Service was very attentive and friendly. Although I did not get to order any, I want to try them next time. I wanted something I can eat in one sitting. My friend and I started with two margaritas. We got their medium size. The glass is the same size as a margarita from a taco place I frequented in a previous life. The service is on point, though my friend and I were often in deep conversation when our server came by. We had a lot to catch up on! I chose to order a lunch portion of flautas. They are tortillas wrapped around meat and cheese and then fried. They were crispy, just the way I like them. I'm a born and raised San Diego girl so I ordered the California burrito because I was reading reviews that it was pretty legit. This is what I thought- very little meat (which is unfortunate because the burrito was slightly expensive) very little guacamole like I legit only had one bite of it and it was at the way bottom of the burrito. Oh and it comes with rice (original California burritos don't come with rice) so I didn't order it with rice. So I would not order this again. But the lady was nice at the front, and the restaurant seemed like a nice establishment. read more
