Taco Addicts has some of the best queso we've had in a while. I also really enjoyed the street tacos. The meat was tender and flavorful and the shrimp came with a tasty sauce. The barbacoa and campechano tacos were a bit dry so I do wish they came with a sauce as well. We ordered: cheese dip ($5), barbacoa street taco ($3.50), campechano taco ($4), fried shrimp taco ($5), California burrito ($14) with cheese dip ($1), chimi-cheesecake ($7), and horchata ($4). Online ordering is a little tricky as there are minimal descriptions listed. I toggled between the restaurant menu and the ordering system to make sure I ordered what I wanted. Our order was ready upon arrival. The host was professional and kind. He greeted us, retrieved our order, and gave us extra chips when requested. Overall, we had a positive experience here and recommend this restaurant to others!

A meh way to start 2025. Nothing was necessarily good nor bad at Taco Addicts. It was your standard Mexican food but with a cardinal sin exception. I got the chicken fajitas and they forgot the tortillas. Yo...that's the whole point. The waiter didn't come back for a solid ten minutes and I was hungry so I did what I had to do. The fajitas were okay, but they were mostly okay because I ate them with a fork. There's only so much you can do with chicken, bell pepper, and onions. I did sub the rice/beans option for fries (they do have excellent fries), but mannnnnnnn you can't forget tortillas for fajitas. Eating them with a fork is just so boring. Chips and salsa was fine. Your standard Mexican fare. My wife had the Carne Asada deep fried burrito. She said it was okay. Not great. Not bad. Just kinda meh. I would probably skip this place personally because every city has a place just like this. Don't let a cool name fool you.

Was visiting family in North Carolina and had our last meal here before we headed back to California. The service and food was amazing! Definitely recommend this spot for large parties. Surprisingly the best chilaquiles I've ever had and I've eaten it many times back in CA where the Mexican spots are abundant. The potato side was unlike anything I've ever had with chilaquiles and went well with the perfectly cooked rice. Carne asada was seasoned well and eggs cooked appropriately over medium. Of course my son had to get the whole fried tilapia plate which was perfectly seasoned and not over-fried like some places tend to do. I would definitely come back the next time I'm visiting the area.

Taco addicts is located in a shopping plaza near other business but they have their own parking area. The restaurant is spacious with multiple areas to dine in. They offer appetizers, combos, burritos, tacos, seafood, lunch specials, desserts, and more. We came in the evening on a weekday and were seated right away. Once inside we were greeted and provided with complimentary chips and salsa. Our server was patient with us as we decided what we wanted to order. I ordered the Cholos taco combo which is three tacos served with rice and beans. I asked for my tacos to be served on flour tortillas. You can choose three different tacos with the exception of the seafood tacos with the combo. I got the Diablo, the valley taco, and carnitas. The rice and beans weren't bad but nothing extraordinary about them. The Diablo taco had a nice kick to it from the habaneros on the taco. It was spicy but not too hot to enjoy the taco. The valley taco consisted of carne asada, cilantro, onions, queso fresco, avocado, and guacamole salsa. It was good but not to the point where I would have to order it again. The carnitas also tasted good. Overall we had a good experience at taco addicts. I would come back to try other menu items.

Lunch Fajitas

My first time here with a friend for a late lunch. They have a large menu that does include lunch specials. I noticed they had a large selection of tacos that sounded good. We were seated quickly and a waiter came quickly as well. We got a basket of chips and salsa even before the waiter came. The chips were better than many places but the salsa was very thin. Good flavor, just very watery. We both ordered lunch fajitas. I had the chicken and my friend had the beef. Both were delicious and well prepared. It was served on a plate instead of the traditional hot skillet and there were no tortillas offered. The restaurant is very large and has both booths and tables. They are set up for large groups too. There's Latin music playing and the decor is varied...and they were well decorated for Valentine's Day too. I will return here as there are many items on the menu I would like to try and the service was very good.

We came here with a group of five at 6:30 on February 12, which was a Saturday. We had originally intended to go elsewhere, but without a reservation, most places were booked. We were excited to learn that this place was able to accommodate us without a wait. I had heard good things so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, most of us agreed that the food was underwhelming. I ordered two tacos from the menu and one of them had a green sauce on it that was not exactly spicy as much as it was sour and unpleasant. I also expected from the description that the tortilla would be fried/grilled/crispy, and it was the same as the other tortilla. Likewise, my spouse ordered a margarita which had no flavor. It wasn't even that it tasted a bit weak, or that we could not taste the alcohol, it really just tasted like ice. No margarita flavor, or anything. My spouse expressed this to the server who asked if she would like another drink and she declined. The bartender came over and again asked her if she would like another drink and she said no but he insisted that he would make her another one. He then brought over a really beautiful drink and a beautiful mug that did taste good, however, we were a bit bummed to find that she was charged for the large margarita ($14), especially since she declined the replacement drink several times. I really wanted to like this place, as their menu is pretty expansive with some interesting options. Unfortunately, it was a poor experience. Ambiance: 3 Service: 3 Food: 1.5 Drink: 2.5

Taco Addicts INTRO: Mexican Restaurant located near Crossroads Blvd in Cary. Veggie Quesadilla ($13)- Delicious quesadilla filled with cheese and a wide variety of vegetables. Comes with side of lettuce and rice. Quesadilla was a large decent size for one person. Parking/location- Located in Crossroads shopping center so it can get busy. The parking lot was small since it was shared with shops right near it. Ambience/service- Service was good and there wasn't a long wait for the food to arrive. It was a decent sized building with large open dining sections along with a bar.

Stopped by Taco Addicts after passing it a few times going shopping. Finally decided to stop in today and check it out. First, I thought it was a to go only place, so when I got in and saw that it was a dine in spot I was surprised. I was able to do to go, so I got their taco toreado and valley taco. Both were very similar with onions, cheese, cilantro, green salsa, and beef. I really liked the flavor of both tacos, but it was difficult to eat them as the tortillas were very soggy and fell a part. I was able to use the provided fork and eat the yummy toppings! The sogginess may be due to them being to go versus eating in. Also, I loved that the order came with chips and salsa. The chips were crispy and the salsa had a nice kick to it--not too spicy though, but a good warming flavor. I finished it maybe too quickly. Since now I know that Taco Addicts is not just a to go spot, I will be back to sit and eat in. I will be back!

Excellent tacos, no matter which you prefer. Paired with a draft Pacifico or a water with lime is very hard to beat

I usually rotate between the tacos, enchiladas, and molcajetes, and while the tacos themselves are just okay, the overall experience is solid. The fresh chips are easily some of the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant (warm and crisp). Add queso to those chips and it really seals the deal. They more than make up for the tacos being a bit underwhelming and are honestly reason enough to come back. This is a great neighborhood spot if you're looking for authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent chips and dips (biggest downside is no liquor aka no margaritas). Not every dish is a knockout, but the highlights keep it comfortably in 4-star territory.

I was really one mayonnaise filled torta away from missing out on my favorite Mexican restaurant of Cary. The food is some of the freshest and most authentic in the area, and is consistently spot on. Forget heavy burritos or overly sauced enchiladas, this place is the real deal. When you come to Esmeralda Grill, you should really focus on the meat heavy dishes, whether it be via land or sea. There are so many different options to choose from, from both categories. When thinking seafood, expect the full fish. If you find yourself with the fresh grilled tilapia, you will receive a delicious whole fish that tastes as if it was caught that morning. It is such a fantastic option. I also appreciate the camarones a la diabla, or Diablo shrimp. The shrimp are plump and juicy, the spice of the dish is excites your taste buds and is a great dish. My favorite entrees are the land meat dishes though. El Trio Perfecto is my go-to order, it is grilled steak, chicken and pork all on one plate with rice, beans, salad, and tortillas. The Mexican spice rub on the meats is absolutely mouth watering, the flavors are so bold and tasty. The meats are all cooked to perfection and the portions are gigantic. You can make different tacos with the various meats, it is seriously one of my favorite Mexican dishes. I would highly recommend this! Additionally, Esmeralda Grill has so many other wonderful dishes for different flavor profiles. My grandparents are pretty particular about empanadas, but simply cannot get enough of Esmeralda's version. They also make some killer tacos, and some very affordable ones if you were to come on Tuesday! The moral of the story? Don't base your opinion of a restaurant after a single visit. You don't come across a fantastic hole in the wall every day, Esmeralda Grill is one that every Mexican food lover should know!

Mi Cancun - Shrimp fajitas

When you think of a Mexican chain, you probably think of a restaurant where you order one of those…read morebig piping hot combination platters with the world's largest plate, loaded with some mix of burritos, enchiladas, tacos, etc. The food itself is average, the service is quick and the portions are large, it is just alright but enjoyable. Mi Cancun is not your ordinary Mexican chain restaurant. The atmosphere is lively, service is attentive, decor is cozy and the food is elevated. They start you off with their unlimited chips and salsa. I've had bad chips quite a few times in recent memory at Mexican restaurants, but these are enjoyable. I blink and sudden I am getting a refill. The waiters do a great job going around, making sure you are taken care of. Others push a guacamole cart as a potential appetizer. The service here is good and friendly! There are so many different options at Mi Cancun, they have a huge menu. They have the aforementioned combination platters, but you can also order grilled meats, seafoods, individual tacos and other specialties. I'm a pretty big ACP (arroz con pollo) guy and Mi Cancun puts a neat twist on theirs. Instead of old overcooked rice and overly thick cheese, their ACP is always really fresh with smaller strips of delicious and seasoned chicken, warm cheese and even spicy peppers. The peppers add good flavor and kick, also some vegetables! Every other item I've had here is pretty great as well. They are a Mexican restaurant that has a designated vegetarian section, so I've had some of those and they're good alternatives! It is not just, "let's cram as much frozen veggies into a tortilla." Their diablo shrimp are also good and they recently added beef tongue (lengua) tortas to the menu. This might be my new favorite item, the lengua is so tender and flavorful. Mi Cancun is one of the few places in the area that is busy every night, and for good reason! The food is great and you are taken care of when you're there. This Morrisville location I believe is the original, and they do a fantastic job at upholding this chain's reputation.

Updated Review. February 24, 2026…read more The portions have really changed for the worst. A parrillada dish is now half of what it used to be. As a family of four, we'd order the full size and eat comfortably. Now, two can only eat. The parrillada for one, is literally just for one, but before 2 of us would eat and we'd still bring some home. Prices of skyrocketed, understanding with the economy we're in.
