Consistently solid sammy here. All the right ingredients and toppings at a fair price. Service is friendly too! Nice to visit a place where people know what they're doing and like what they do as well. read more

Holy heck -- I lived in Philly for years, and know my cheesesteaks. This place is serious legit. The price is fair, the food is great, the place is clean, and staff is friendly. It's not haute cuisine, but when you're in the mood for a real cheesesteak experience (and they do Jersey rippers, too!), you'd be wasting your time going to Philadelphia. 5/5 at least. read more

My son and I went yesterday ! We walked in it's small. It's made for take out but does have two tables to eat in at. We were greeted by the owner he was a very nice guy. We ordered two cheesesteak both could not finish the 10 inch . Also got cheese fries . One of the best cheesesteaks I had the fries were amazing. We will be back soon . Thanks again read more

Chiddy's Cheesesteaks never fails to disappoint. It had been recommended by a friend, and having gone now three times it's safe to say the food is fresh, delicious, and flavorful. There is a wide variety of food options and flavors, and I was especially please to see meatless options available as well. The staff is friendly, especially Joe, and they always provide excellent service. I can't wait to go back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and freshly made meal. If you haven't stopped by yet, what are you waiting for? read more

Been there several times and food is always very good. I go for the family meals. Very good deal if you're getting a few sandwiches. Comes with generous sides. The empanadas are surprisingly good. read more

WOW this place was SO GOOD! I saw them on Instagram and had saved a post of their breakfast dish to try, but when I arrived everything looked so amazing I ended up getting a philly with bacon (I forgot the name on the menu but WORTH IT!) got regular fries and their special comes with a soda or water. Their junior sized sandwiches are perfect size!! I almost never finish a philly but I was able to today! I can't wait to go back to try the dish I originally saved as well as everything on the menu over time! read more

Great place for some quality comfort food. Unique creations with a friendly and attentive staff. I have personally tried over 75% of the menu and do not have a single complaint. Plus they offer their menu for event catering. You will not regret coming here! read more

I havent written a review on yelp for a while but the cheesesteak was bomb and the owner was extremely friendly. I highly recommend coming here. They make you feel right at home! read more

THIS. DAMN. PLACE. Amazing. Tiny place, HUGE on flavor. Cheesesteaks, Irish nachos, Tacos. Everything is so good. Great service, quick and friendly. DO NOT MISS THIS PLACE. read more

Damn good cheese steaks! We ordered the family meal#1 and it was a lot of food for 2 adults and 2 children. The cheese steaks and fries were great. The chicken pot pie and spinach pie empanadas were good- would definitely try different flavors next time. The Nutella and banana empanadas are a must order again. The kids went nuts over them - be warned they are messy delicious. read more

This is one of the restaurants that does one thing really well. The cheesesteaks don't really taste authentic, but they're really good for out of state cheesesteaks. Always good. I wish they had more sides. read more

I returned today after quite a number month since my last visit. The last time near opening my sandwich was too salty. Tonight my sandwich was was a five star experience!! Overstuffed Well seasoned fantastic amount of onions- perfection!! Omg the fries were exceptional too!! A clean kitchen and a business well staffed too- job well done. Quite an improvement manger and staff kudos too you all!! read more

I was hopeful that this place was going to be good because a Co worker recommended them. What I just experienced was out of this world. I had to write a review. The bread was fresh and toasted in all the right places. The rib eye was delicious. Both my husband and I agree that this place is now our go to place for Cheese steaks. The staff was friendly and I can't wait to go back. read more

This was not what I expected!! Figure a guy does well as a food truck and opens storefront then it must be awesome - it was not. I have been eating Philly cheesesteaks for years. The meat was tasty but the onions and peppers were chunks and not cooked thru (and there were some very unwanted mushrooms in the mix). The bread wasn't toasted so it got super super soggy. I asked for it to go and asked that they wrap it in tin foil - well this foil had paper on the inside and it melted all over my sandwich - took me 10 minutes to remove the paper before I could eat it. Maybe I will try again in a pinch but for now going elsewhere read more

Me and a friend came here, and got the cheesesteak with onions, bacon and cheese, with fries and a free drink. The fries were very good, tasted fresh and not too salty. The cheesesteak was very good as well, but it was a little dry. Next time I come, I would put some barbecue or steak sauce on it as well. The price was a little high - $30 for two half cheesesteaks, fries and drinks, but it tasted good. Will probably come back. Thanks! read more

Always satisfied , the Philly cheesesteaks are a must have! I've gone to this location about 8 times already . The Commack location I personally think is the best. Very clean , and quick service. I did not like the farmingdale location& almost all the tables were sticky . The steak was burnt and salty and there was barely any cheese. read more

Stopped by Chiddy's Cheesesteaks for national cheesesteak day and was very impressed. I ordered the signature cheesesteak with a side of fries and a buffalo chicken empanada. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The owner even gave me 50% off my sandwich for national cheesesteak day. Chiddy's recently won best cheesesteak of Long Island and for good reason. I will definitely be coming back to try some of their amazing options. read more

Not exactly what I was expecting. For the size of the sandwich it's not worth it and quality was not there for me. When we got our order and went home to find that it was not the right sandwich. I called the number at the top of the receipt and turned out to be the owner's cellphone number. He was surprised on how I got it..... it's at the top of the receipt... then I finally get in contact with the store... kinda had a bit of attitude from the guy, thank you for replacing my food and giving us empanadas but it was really not called for with the attitude... my advice to anyone who orders is check the food before you leave, and to the owner do not have your cellphone number at the top of the receipt if you do not want customers having that information. read more

Came to see what all the hype was about and was very disappointed. Apparently this is their new location in Commack; the layout looks very cozy, the truck at the counter is very cool. The place itself looks very clean and by what I could tell, so does the kitchen. Let's dive into the most important part. I've tried various cheesesteaks and this one is on the lower end of my list. When you order a Philly cheesesteak the expectation is to wait. I ordered my food and by the time I sat down I got called for my order. Not even McDonald's is this fast! I ordered a Squealing' Philly and it was lacking taste. The ribeye was very dry. I did get a hefty amount of bacon, that was more like jerky, this only enhanced the dryness if the taste. Not sure if the meat had been sitting in the grill for too long. The regular fries are a bit overpriced and had a bit too much salt. Don't think I'll be giving this place a second chance. read more

Good food at a reasonable price. I took my son here for lunch and I was impressed at the portion and it was good too.

I have been visiting their Farmingdale location for a while, but decided to go to Commack since it is closer to my house. As always the food was DELICIOUS. I got the Chiddy's Signature, which was loaded with Shaved Steak, Mozz Cheese, Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms and Cheese Whiz. The flavors were amazing, the bread was delicious and it was SO filling. I also HAD to get the Nacho Fries, which are French Fries topped with Shaved Steak, Jalapeños, Cheese Whiz and Chipotle Aioli. The staff is also very helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back! read more

So disappointed. I ordered last night just a philly cheese steak with onion and wiz to go. When I opened the box the sandwich was all over the box. It was not wrapped in foil as it has been in the past. The box was in a plastic bag that tilted while carrying it The meat and onion was no longer on the bread and there was no wiz. Last time I ordered the fries and they were mush! There is no consistency!! Will need to find a new place for philly cheese steaks !!! Need to find a new place for cheese steaks read more

Cant even get my delivery order right for what i Paid. Ordered a cheese steak without onions and They couldnt get that right. I can only imagine if I placed a large order that most of it would not be right if they cant get one cheesesteak right. read more

It was my first time going there and honestly it was nothing special, French fries was very greasy and honestly I had to throw it away, definite it's not worth $16, sandwich was OK, bread seams not fresh, cheese was all over the place, disappointing read more

Great! So happy to have it in the neighborhood. My husband and I usually build our own cheesesteaks but we have also ordered the chiddy's signature and chicks on a ranch. All of the sandwiches have been fantastic with a great meat to cheese to bread ratio. The fry portions are on the larger side (unless you order through seamless for some reason...) and they are delicious. The fries are perfectly cooked and the topping options are fun. I wasn't crazy about the caramel apple empanada but I applaud the creative empanada ideas. read more

Wow let me tell ya, what an establishment this place is. I've come here for years and it just gets better and better with each visit. Whenever i'm hungry I know that I can always take a ride to Chiddy's and grab me a gaseous cheesesteak. Five stars for Chiddy's Cheesesteaks. read more

Do not waste your money. If you are looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak this is absolutely NOT the place... there was literally no "wiz" on either of my sandwiches and barely had a slice of melted cheese on part of the bun... one slice of crumpled bacon on the end and then some meat and onions. Both my sandwiches were terrible and the fries barely had some bacon with actual wiz (finally) only put sporadically on the top of some fries. Totally disappointed! read more

Great place... I called them up at 8:55 to find out when they close. He said sorry we close at 9 and the grill is shut off and cleaned. He then asked me what I wanted and I said just one cheesesteak sandwich. To my surprise he said come on in it will be ready in 10 minutes. Wow... that's what you call customer service !!!! A+ service and A+ sandwich!!! I highly recommend this place and will totally be back read more

3/24/22- GAD First time to the Commack store. Called order in at 5:25 pm. Upon arrival i saw a bag with my name on it and was told the order was not ready. Waited 60 minutes 5 ft from counter and bag was never touched. I asked to cancel the order and the girl grabbed the bag and said it was ready . Didn't want cold food and said so, but she said it just came out. That was a red flag but i took it home. Arrived home to find cold soggy sandwiches with meat that had dry edges. Unloaded the bag and there were no French fries which were ordered and paid for. Will never go back. 3 people behind counter and no one had an assigned task so it was just chaos. During the time i was there they must have taken 50 telephone orders and in all that time nothing was being taken off the line and bagged. what a S...show. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that the staff knows what they are doing and where they serve edible food that tastes good. read more

We had Chiddy's cater our daughters birthday party last weekend. We got a tray of cheesesteak sliders; half with onions. We also ordered a half tray of buffalo chicken empanadas and a second tray of chicken pot pie empanadas. Everything was delicious. It was ready for pick up and fresh when we got there. We watched them finish cooking and pack up the last of it, so we know it wasn't prepared the night before. Everyone there was excited about how good it was. Chiddy's definitely made even more fans that afternoon. We discovered them from the food truck, which we had been following for sometime. Commack isn't even that close, but it was worth the drive for the big order. We'll be back. read more
