I wish I could give Renew more than 5 stars!…read more Jason came out and refinished my old porcelain bath tub. He showed up right on time and was extremely friendly and professional. His prep work and attention to detail was very impressive and I am beyond thrilled with the finished product. Jason also took the time to explain the refinishing process and gave me tips on tub maintenance/cleaning, which I really appreciated. If you are in need of kitchen or bath refinishing, don't waste your time calling anyone else. Jason is the best!

Remodel my bathroom. Kept the tub. Called based on positive reviews. He responded quickly. Sent a…read morequote which I accepted. It included travel costs as he would be coming 2 hours for the job. I was fine with it. Scheduled at time. Canceled at last minute. Rescheduled. Again he canceled at the last minute. Did not reschedule. He said "He got jammed up" with personal issues. Could do job in summer. He never called back. I called him. I still had my signed quote to complete the job. Again he was quick to respond. Set a date to complete the work and again canceled at the last minute. Said he could do my job in November. Would call back. He never called back. My bathtub is still not refinished!! He is the most unprofessional contractor I have ever dealt with. We had a signed agreement which he did not follow through on. Beware!! While he sounds nice and professional on the phone at first- he is a big flake!!

Walked into this store while wandering around downtown and was pleasantly surprised. The owner was…read morea young lady who explained that she and her sister had just opened and were building up their shop for the upcoming holidays. She was really friendly and gave me a bit of info about the slime she sells in the store. I honestly have never touched slime, the closest I've gotten is seeing it on IG but I've always wanted to touch it. I know, sounds weird but it's slime... it's made for touching! She showed me 3 different versions which were out on display for customers to experience. There was beginner, intermediate and advanced slime. She explained that the consistencies were different in each one and for younger (not slime aficionados, haha) the beginner was the best option due to its consistency. I decided I'd try all three and could definitely tell the difference. Some were more like slime sand and others ultra silky slime, very cool! Finally! I got to play with what I'd seen on IG for the last 2 years, yayeeeeeee (insert super happy emoji). She also showed me candles that were on display, all the different soaps on the specialty soap table as well as all of the other slimes that came in various colors, scents and with different things to mix into it (glitter, rubber ducks, little toys, etc.) as well as pointed out the different levels of what each slime was. I'll def be back, I just have to figure out what scent and toys I want first, it was a bit of sensory overload for a firstie. When I need a lil slime in my life, this is where I'll get it fo sho :)

Rant: California Renovation (Cal Reno) and Roseville Carpet One (RCO)…read more Roseville Carpet One owns California Renovation in Chico. If you're looking for floors, carpet or other services look elsewhere. I had my entire house outfitted with 100% waterproof SPC flooring. The product is high quality, the staff at California Renovation are unbelievably the worst. Around a year after the floors were installed, I noticed a big split at the joint pulling up as seen in picture two. Note, the damaged area has a large rug there 365 days of the year unless needed to clean. I called Cal Reno, they sent out there installation manager. He put a moisture tester to the floor, and said "yup, exactly as I expected. The floors are too wet and you're over mopping." Then proceeded to tell me I needed to use a special mop that I hand wring out to wash the floors. Information that was never provided if true. Then quoted me $600 to replace the four boards in that area. I honestly believed them, maybe I was over mopping. Then the floors started getting worse and in areas that have never been mopped. So I started doing my own research. I looked up the my warranty: 25yrs commercial - 50yrs residential. 100% waterproof. The warranty literally says you can spill water on the floor, leave it and it won't damage it. But clean it up in a timely matter to prevent mold. I called Cal Reno back six months later, the installation manager came back out and said the same thing. Proceeded to tell me I'm mopping too wet and I need a special mop. Long story short, I fought with Cal Reno and RCO for months. They refused to submit a claim to Republic flooring. During my research I found the manufacturer rescinded parts of the warranty. Now the floors are warrantied for 25yrs, half of what it was originally. It also mentioned Visqueen, a moisture barrier must be applied before setting the floors, which was never done. I later found out the manufacturer had changed their warranty 8 months after my floors were installed due to moisture issues and several customers, some of whom were Cal Reno or RCO customers had to have their floors replaced. Also, warranty makes no mention of a special mop. Finally, after a lengthy emails stating the facts, hours of research and second opinions, Cal Reno said they would replace the floors "at cost" and come out to measure. I simply replied no and kept fighting, almost needing to go to court. Finally I thought I won, that same installation manager came back out and said, "we are only going to replace the damaged sections, we want to go easy on the manufacturer." I was almost in shock. Whose side are you on? The bill goes to the manufacturer not you guys. I was fed up at this point, was willing to take whatever I could get and thanked him for fighting on my behalf to get the floors replaced. To my disgust he said, "no, we just forwarded your email to the manufacturer and they said yes." All said and done, the whole house was replaced with new floors that had under two years of wear. I went with this company because my neighbor also used them, and unbeknownst to me, they also had issues they fought for months with their carpet. This was after my contract was in place. The first and second pictures have rugs all year round except for cleaning. Last picture shows the mold and mildew after the floors were taken out. They even had to go back and fill in more cracks in the foundation, with lots of rework. Overall, the floors are great, warranty is(was) amazing, but this company sucks. Doesn't care about you, the hard earned money you spent and will not help you if you have issues. Go elsewhere.
