What sank the experience was the astonishing rigidity. My meal came with a small piece of cornbread. My wife politely asked if she could also have cornbread. Not extra. Not free. Just cornbread. This was refused. We were told cornbread can only be served with certain meals and cannot be purchased separately, as if it were a rare mineral governed by strict international treaty. No flexibility. No exceptions. The cornbread supply must be protected. My wife is Italian. In her world, bread is not a luxury item or a controlled substance. When she asked for any bread, she was offered hamburger buns and charged for them. Hamburger buns... To complete the experience, a 20% automatic gratuity was added, ensuring we tipped generously while being told that a small piece of cornbread was fundamentally impossible. Polite staff. Okay food. We had a great experience overall! They had complimentary valet parking, which was a nice. The valet staff were friendly and efficient. it was very crowded for a Thursday afternoon, the restaurant had ample seating and we were seated immediately. Our server, Aura was fantastic. We initially ordered the Orange Crush but forgot to mention we wanted it without alcohol. Despite the mix up, Aura quickly and kindly replaced our drinks with the non-alcoholic version, which turned out to be delicious for the hot weather. For appetizers, we had the hush puppies and fried calamari. The hush puppies were very good, but the calamari was quite rubbery and tough to eat, which was a bit disappointing. For our entrée, we ordered the firecracker shrimp tacos with fries both were excellent. The tacos were flavorful, and the fries were perfectly done. Our food came out quickly, and Aura continued to check in on us throughout our meal, which we really appreciated. Even though it was a hot day, we still enjoyed our time outside thanks to the great service and good food. Would definitely come back, especially for the amazing Orange Crush!! Wow five stars for a delightful ocean-front spot that features fresh seafood, good drinks and the most chill vibes. I arrived in town and my coworker said we must go to Chick's, so off we went. We were seated inside, but the plethora of windows makes it feel like you're outside even when you are not. First order of business - ordered an orange crush. I had never had one of these, and it was delish. Fresh squeezed OJ, Orange Vodka, and crushed ice had me feeling like I was unlocking vacation. I also opted for fresh oysters. I had never tried these two varieties and I enjoyed them. We also split calamari. We didn't eat a full meal here because we had our eyes on trying multiple spots, but I could definitely see myself spending an entire day here crushing those cocktails or beer and eating fresh seafood. Service was friendly and attentive. I can definitely see this spot getting packed on a beautiful day. On a lovely Sunday afternoon it was pretty full, especially the bar. Never been here but always drove by and saw how busy it was. Got done working in a Friday and the weather was nice so I suggested my wife that we get dinner overlooking water. Valet only which was convenient, had our name on the list so we were sat immediately, we sat overlooking the water inside looking out at the sun setting and a nice breeze. Waiter was very friendly and she even stopped to share how gorgeous my wife looked. Food wasn't bad, loved how they had oyster shooters. Got the tuna bites, raw oysters, oyster sandwich and burger. Valet parking only. This is always a busy restaurant so they have a hostess as soon as you walk in. Pretty good service. The food has always been great. Crab dip is my favorite. The shrimp are really big and never disappoints. We have had burgers, they were ok. We have had a variety of food over the years. Some great and a few things that were so so. And a few times the bathrooms were a mess. I love the different bar areas and the view is wonderful. Last time we were there we watched dolphins in the water and a beautiful sunset. If they would keep the bathrooms cleaner on a regular basis, I would bump up the stars for sure. read more

Stopped by Chick's today with my colleague for lunch. Chick's is an established restaurant known for its seafood. I tried the blackened tuna sandwich. It was tender and of good size. Served with delicious crunchy fries; the way I like my fries. My partner had fried oysters. She enjoyed them. This restaurant is located right off the Chesapeake Bay. They have a fully stocked bar. We had a good waitress. They take credit cards. Plenty of parking. Worth stopping in Chick's. The restaurant is nice but not overly fancy. A good place to enjoy seafood. read more

We absolutely loved the food, ambience, and staff at the oyster bar! We had some concerns about meeting a group of friends there when we pulled up to valet parking and had our dog in the car. Valet drivers were great directing us to park in a prime location on this cool night and they even took the time to confirm with management that the dog would be allowed on the back deck. We joined our party who had already been seated with pup in the car. We had fresh oysters and delicious wings that had an amazing mango habanero sauce. They had an excellent hazy juicy beer along with the signature orange crushes that everybody loved. As our friend group began to thin out, we decided to ask the waitress if we could move our table onto the back deck where we could bring the pup after a quick word with management we were allowed to bring our dog to our table without moving. Probably one of the best places to be if you're a seafood fan like being by the ocean and enjoying some good drinks. Especially good because of the breeze and the open deck if you prefer. Service was on point point. Props to Faith for checking up on us and making sure my first time here was exceptional. Good vibe here too. I can see how it gets packed and parking was super easy with the complimentary parking. Literally sprinting around to get your vehicle in 94° weather and humidity. If you're going to get the tacos you're definitely going to need some napkins as they get a little juicy but I stuck with some oysters on the half shell, super fresh and with a crab cake which I had grilled. This place has an atmosphere of being in an old fishing shanty... without the smell. Food was decent but not great. I had Mahi (I know, not regional!) that was cooked well, but a small portion. Fries were typical frozen variety that are a bit crunchy on the outside. Broccoli was big, but mostly inedible stem once it was cut. I will most likely not return. The food wasn't "nasty," but it definitely wasn't good or worth the cost. The only thing I enjoyed was the popcorn shrimp, which tasted like they came straight from a bag, so that explains it. The fries were actually good. No complaints there. I remembered this place being amazing years ago and always difficult to get into, but that quality is gone. The "Mediterranean salad" was a 0/10. The 1 lb of steamed shrimp was just okay. You could tell the shrimp weren't great quality, they were soft and lacked firmness. What really concerned me was the chef repeatedly coming out of the kitchen coughing openly without covering his mouth. It's flu season, and if that's how he behaves in front of guests, I can only imagine what happens in the kitchen. I went in for lunch and was completely blown away.First off, the crab cake sandwich was absolutely incredible. The crab cake itself was packed with fresh, sweet crab meat and had very little filler. It was perfectly cooked, with a golden-brown crust and a tender, flaky interior. Paired with the soft bun and fresh toppings, it was a truly delicious and satisfying sandwich.I also ordered a pound of the steamed shrimp, and they were just as good. They came out piping hot and were perfectly seasoned. The shrimp were big, juicy, and easy to peel, making them a pleasure to eat. They valeted my car and we were sat indoors with a view of the bay. The service was slow, we had to flag down a waitress for some menus. They're known for their crushes so I decided to go with their orange crush and I must say It was delicious and refreshing. The used freshly squeezed orange juice as well, I definitely had to order a 2nd. As for food I went with the fried oysters with two sides of green beans snd sweet potato fries. We stopped in after a fun day at Chic's Beach. This place was highly recommended, so we thought we'd give it a try as we were done with the sun around 2:45 PM. Happy hour runs from 3 PM to 6 PM, and we arrived right at 3 PM. The valet was setting up when we got there, and from other reviews it looks like it's complementary. For happy hour they offer $1 wings and oysters in groups of six and half price appetizers. Crushes are six dollars during happy hour, so we tried mango and cherry lime. We're from Buffalo, so have been trying wings here to see how they compare. IMHO, Buffalo needs to step up their game. The wings were meaty and juicy and the outside was perfectly crispy. We tried Old Bay style, which was fantastic. I had my first ever (and second) raw oyster during our visit! They were great! Service was fast and friendly. Business was picking up a bit as we left, and I read that it can get pretty busy. Overall, it was a great choice for our old lady dinner. :-) read more

This restaurant has an amazing view. I'll recommend going on a sunny day and warm day to be able to sit outside next to the water. This place has outdoors and indoor sitting. The food was delicious. All of them were seafood based. It tasted fresh and very well spiced. The service was good overall. My experience started good on 23 Jan 2026. I was watching the fights and lighting hockey game until I was confronted by a bouncer where he was saying I looked, "tired." Here I am writing this complaint, mind you. When they established that I was "good" I had only had 4 beers in 5 hours at that point where they then "cut me off?" Then when I talked to the bouncer AND manager, they established that I was good and just trying to watch tv, I asked, "was it just because I was in the way of all the other people you were serving?" Where the manager said, "yeah that's probably what it is man, and we are still okay with serving you." It was a terrible experience and I feel like I wasted my money and was targeted the whole time I was here, even though other people were spilling beer and breaking beer bottles around me (the manager admitted he saw this and said he was okay with serving me if I moved to another bar). I said, "that's fine! I just wish someone would have just told me to move. I would have willingly!" He apologized. I feel like this bar shouldn't target people because they aren't drinking themselves silly which is the vibe this staff gave me that night. I reached out to discuss this experience with management with no success. read more

**DO NOT COME HERE FOR THE NIGHT LIFE** I want to start this review off by saying that I have been coming here for YEARS, and I used to love coming here. The amount of money and business that I have brought to this place over the years is astronomical. Within the last year and a half this place has taken a SIGNIFICANT decline. I attached my story in the pictures, but moral of the story: do not come here for the night life or a late dinner unless you want to spend a bunch of money just to be treated like poo. Do not bring your out of town friends here unless you want to be embarrassed. Do not bring your parents here. Be prepared to be yelled at, ignored, eyes rolled. I am so disappointed and I can whole heartedly say that you are losing so many people's business after last night. I hope people that come here know that it's not normal to be screamed at like that when a bar is closing. I understand working in the service industry is hard (I've done it), and you're around people who are drinking and sometimes don't want to leave. Other bars turn the lights on and play closing time. If people aren't moving go up to them and say "hey guys we're closed". Reading other reviews I can see that the owner reads these and I wholeheartedly hope this review gets read and some change comes. The lack of empathy from your employees is disturbing- and we will not be back. read more
