I asked him for a drink recommendation and he was quick and accurate in terms of recommending drinks he thinks I would like Drinks: Pretty good. The Negroni wasn't too bitter and had a good taste to it. I asked the waiter for a drink that was refreshing but not too sweet. He recommended the Lucille which was spot on. Food: This is where I was disappointed. Happy we went during happy hour because none of the food was worth full price. The chicharrones looked like store bought pork rinds and tasted like it too. The potstickers tasted like the frozen ones you get from the grocery store. The shrimp ceviche was essentially tasteless. Once the jalapeño ice cream melted, it tasted a little better but I wish they had served it with more onions and lime to give it more flavor. The goat cheese and olive was good but nothing special. Stopped into Pacifica while waiting for a table at another restaurant nearby and ended up really enjoying it. I ordered the Lucille cocktail and it was delicious. I also tried to order a French 1605, and while they didn't end up having all the ingredients, the bartender was still completely game to make something off-menu and clearly knew their spirits well. Always appreciate a bartender who actually understands balance and flavor instead of just reading recipes off a card. We also ordered the deviled quail eggs, bulgogi lettuce wraps, and potstickers. Everything was good, though our other table ended up being ready way faster than expected, so we had to take most of it to go. One small PSA: the menu calls them "jumbo" quail eggs, but quail eggs are tiny creatures of nature to begin with, so don't walk in expecting chicken egg-sized deviled eggs. read more

Pacifica Perfect for hubby's birthday. Loved the wide ranging and electic menu for both food and drinks. Tiny flower James and the Lucille recommended if you like it light and sweet like me. Always ask for their specials and "du jours" menu because it's an absolute treat and changes as the seasons do. Our favorites right now were the corn "ribs", the potstickers, the rack of lamb, and the heirloom carrots. Everything we tried was good, actually. Dessert is well worth it here too -- when we went in mid-August (Im so behind in reviewing!) the cookie butter banana pudding pie was the banoffee pie remix of my dreams. Great experience last night celebrating a birthday outside on the veranda at Pacifica.. Our group sort of exploded from 4 to 11 and they were totally accommodating in making sure we had space as we expanded. Really wonderfully creative cocktails the bartender/owner invents included a cask aged Negroni. Service by Ella was 5 Star all the way. With a group that size the orders just keep coming and we never had to look for her. If you are a charcuterie fan, this place has the best board in town. We also loved the daily special, dirty martini hummus. If you haven't been here in a while, I'd suggest you give it a go. read more

This place had really good ambiance and was right by the beach about a block away. There's no actual parking lot so either you get lucky with street parking or you might have to go to a paid parking area around the block. I went on a weeknight so it wasn't very crowded at all, but I can see how this place would be crowded during the weekend especially in the warmer months of the year This place is a tapas style restaurant and I really liked that when I told the waitress that I wanted a mocktail, they just asked me for adjectives of what I would want it to taste like and they brought me back an amazing concoction. We got a variety of dishes , including bread, udon noodles, brussel sprouts, and fish. everything was delicious and I would definitely come back here to try more of their dishes! read more

My husband has been trying to get me to try Pacifica since before they moved into this new location right by Chops in the old Elevensies spot. Well, last night he surprised me with dinner and date night so here we were! I love the inside - not much has changed since they took over this brunch spot - and it's beautiful inside and very open and airy with high ceilings, lots of light and brightness, and gorgeous bathrooms. We sat at one of the round high-tops just off the bar and were taken care of by Paul and Matt who were both absolutely wonderful and sweet and friendly. We tried a range of items: a summer chopped salad, potstickers, butternut curry soup, and the fish of the day - seared tuna with couscous and veggies. My favorite was probably the soup - I also wanted to try their hummus of the day and was bummed to not see the carnitas tacos and BLT salad from an old menu I'd spied online. However, the fact that their specials rotate often with local items and is inventive is my kind'a vibe. There were several items on their specials menu that we had a hard time choosing between - it all sounded so good. I admit to being super impressed by this spot and the service was stellar. The food was so fun and yummy!!! we got the lamb chops, pot stickers, fries, bread with goat cheese and pickled peppers every thing was sooo fancy and complex! Service is fantastic. The atmosphere is fun with nice decor. We were a little hesitant because we were unsure if the prices were about to be upscale when we were honestly looking to just chill and catch up; however, we were pleasantly surprised to see the menu was more of small, shared plates like tapas: hot or cold. The menu seems quite diverse; however, the food looks executed well. If you want to complain about the pricing, please realize just how close the establishment is to the beach and tourism. A tourist trap? Maybe, but at least the drinks are delicious and food is seasoned well. Typically I find fried potstickers a crime; however, we ended up ordering another round because the simple sauce and magnificent crunch made this the star of our evening. The sliders were tasty, but the pimento was more mayo-forward. The pulled pork was moist and tasted great. Call me basic but we ended up sharing a flatbread, and it was soft with plenty of cheese and fairly sauced. Upon arrival, it looked basic, but the texture and flavors made it a great pizza to share. Our cocktails were served in cool glassware with fine presentation. The flavors were enjoyable, and I don't really drink anymore. I would return here and honestly venture into the chicken vindaloo, smoky chicharrons, and seared local catch. They have outdoor seating if the weather is nice. Holy WOW!!! What a place! Supremely relaxing vibe. The BEST service, and food to match! Stopped here because the weather has been horrible and it was within walking distance, but not in hotel. What a pleasant surprise! Greeted immediately with, " Sit anywhere!"....such a cozy place..... Ordered drinks and sloppy joe sliders. WOW! Happiness in a mini bun! We then ordered the charcuterie and cheese board. AHMAZINNNNG!!!!!! (I just sang that) It was THAT GOOD. GO HERE. JUST DO. The server seemed like she was on drugs and was very off putting. Charged us incorrectly and then seemed annoyed that she'd need to reverse the payment. She also added an auto grat which I never saw disclosed on the menu which is highly unusual. Food was fine but service could use improvement. read more

It was disappointing in flavor and had nothing to do with Spanish flavors. The food was lacking in either salt or other spices to give it that pop which elevates every bite into a unique experience in your mouth, very disappointing for the price we paid. We also ordered a plate of chicharrones and to any Latino person you would actually expect pork meat chicharrones and not the bag of chicharrones you buy at the corner store or bodega. To top it off we got chopsticks since The drinks were great and so was the Tempranillo wine we had. Lastly, we ordered potstickers just because we love them and they were on the menu. We got chopsticks but had to ask for napkins and forks for the rest of the meal. I went here last night with a friend for some drinks. First time here. The environment and vibes were great. Clean with nice decor that meshed well with the location and name. They have a flora wall of live plants complete with a light and hydration system. Very cool and unique. The cocktail menu was really neat. The cocktails were broken down into three groups based on the complexity of the cocktails. I tried three different cocktails. One from each group: El Diablo (Hornitas Plata, Black Raspberry, Lime, and Ginger Beer)- I loooove spicy liquor. This drink had a nice spicy bite but did not compromise the other elements making this drink very refreshing. Mai-TaiRita (Espolon Tequila Blanco, Plantation Old Fashioned Traditional Dark Rum, Peach-Infused Grand Marnier, Lime, Suffolk Peanut Orgeat, and a peach gummy ring garnish)- For me, I couldn't figure out what I was supposed to be tasting in this drink. The peach was subtle and the strongest notes were the lime and peanut. I think if the tequila was removed and the peach flavor was more refined it would elevate this drink. The peach gummy ring was a little amateur and didn't work well with the complexity of this drink. Coy Koy (Aperol Aperitivo, Nigori Unfiltered Saki, Cointreau, Lemon, Honey, Orange Marmalade, Orange Blossom Flower, and Egg White)- the highlight for sure. Very well done. Light and refreshing. Though it had a lot of ingredients, none of them overpowered the other and worked very well with each other. Our bartender was amazing. I want to say his name is Matt and I hope I'm correct. Pacifica is an absolute delight, with wonderfully-crafted, creative food and cocktails less than a block from the boardwalk! This is no typical resort area restaurant. Their kitchen is doing serious work. They have a variety of tapas, which we sampled along with a variety of their craft cocktails. The duck confit chicken wings has a crispy and wonderful skin, and the Speedy's buffalo sauce was delicious. The confit egg yolk over a crispy rice cake and fried shallots was another tasty and creative delight. The caprese avodcado toast was also interesting and delightful. This is an ideal spot for a fun dinner and drinks at the Oceanfront, and they even have a parking lot! We will be back soon! read more

Came here with a friend on a Friday night. 1st time at the new location. It is bigger and they have outside dining. Awesome location. I personally did not think it has the same charm the old location had. It wasn't bad, just different. We ultimately ate outside and had great service. Our waiter suggested a bottle of wine after we ordered 2 glasses of the same wine. I appreciate the suggestion. We ordered the chicken satay, bread and butter and roasted cauliflower. OMG that bread....worth every carb. Crunchy and airy and a little salty. So freaking good. And the roasted cauliflower was my favorite. Great presentation and delicious! The chicken satay was a bit dry but the sauce....I could have drank it. This is not a cheap place....you get what you pay for. I love it and ordering multiple tapas to try. I do hope that they eventually add a happy hour or something. I would love to go more often but my wallet says no. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy tapas. read more

Enjoyed a perfect Mother's Day dinner here at Pacifica. We just moved to the area in January and have been trying some restaurants near us. So far this is among the best. My wife and daughter gave high marks for the pina colada with sparkling wine while I enjoyed The Perfect Manhattan. This was my second time at this location. The location is great and the interior is nicely put together. The serving staff were friendly. I ordered the olives the potstickers and the edamame. The food was all good although not any better than anyplace else. The drinks were good but the bartender was rather grumpy/conceded perhaps and very short answered. Sort of felt talked down to. Maybe a bad day but overall I was underwhelmed. Plenty of other fantastic restaurants I would choose first. I asked about Happy Hour times which is a nice way to check out new food items and explore new places. Pacifica does not have a Happy Hour and never has from what I was told in a rather snobby fashion. Ok ...I found no reason to return. read more
