As you walk in, the place was already buzzing at 5 pm on Sunday. The place has a sort of gaming arcade feel to it. Very bright with lots of LED lights and tacky signs. Not a fan, but can appeal to a family with kids. I have had hot pot and Korean and Japanese BBQ before. This place, I thought, was OK, not amazing in terms of food quality. If you have hungry teenage boys, this place is awesome. We opted to have both BBQ and hotpot, it was additional $5 per person. Because this place has two hour dining time limit, but you can ear all you want, they serve a lot of frozen and prepared meats and veggies for the grille or the hot pot. Similar formula for a volume restaurant, but I have had better quality elsewhere. The service was efficient and speedy. You order your food via touch pad tablet. The raw food comes out within minutes for you to cook. At $38 per person, plus your drinks, it can get pricy but everyone goes home stuffed. In the end, it is about $55 to $60 per person with tips.

Portion sizes are good for the bibimbap and fried rice. Both flavorful and not salty like most restaurant foods typically are. It makes me think of really good homemade food where you don't add too much salt or oil cooking for yourself. For appetizers, the rice cake was a little pricey for what is it, but I had to try it due to K-dramas and manwhas. ...the power of fiction influencing real life choices. I really like the rice cakes! My only other past experience was with Trader Joe's frozen tteokbokki (awful, disgusting), so I'm very happy that Korean rice cake at a Korean restaurant is actually very good. Soju is a really smooth and kind of strong alcohol and the soju they served meets expectations. I really liked the baekse-ju, though--I taste the ginseng strongly, but it's not too much. I would order the baekse-ju again (I really liked it). Pickled sides (kimchi, cucumber, and bean sprouts(?)) were complimentary and I really enjoyed them and enjoy that the several Korean restaurants I've been to offer them. The ambiance is casual and I like the vibe of the place--mix of renovated house and restaurant.

I will caveat that it's not necessarily the best Korean food I've ever had, but it's probably the most authentic you'd be able to get in Providence. I've also had the knife cut noodles which is pretty good, but different than the kind I normally get at other Korean restaurants -this one is more seafood forward which is usually not the case at other Korean restaurants. The spicy rice cakes were a bit mid - I would skip out on them next time. The rice cakes didn't have a good chewy texture and they were quite pricy too. The tonkatsu was actually pretty good, so when I got the tonkatsu udon, I was expecting that too be good as well, but the udon was way too salty and had too much MSG flavor, so I couldn't finish it. Overall, cute little place to come when craving Korean food. Menu is huge and not everything is a hit on the menu, but if you know what to order, you'll hit your craving. Parking is street only!

I got some Korean food and I loved it. The spicy pork bulgogi had a nice spicy note to it....I usually like spicy, but this spice was a bit different, but good.... Some of the sushi rolls had the option of getting tempura items rolled into the sushi and then topped with sashimi style toppings. It was a nice texture experience. They have a good selection of wines, not many beer choices (Sapporo was the only choice during our visit). Nice staff, prompt service. They have a rewards program run by Toast in case you are a frequent diner.

My fiancé loved the kalbi ssam--the short ribs were tender and flavorful, and wrapping everything in the fresh lettuce with the sides made for an awesome meal. What really stood out was how comforting everything felt. As fellow Asians (though not Korean), the food gave us that warm, homey feeling that good Asian comfort food should.
