3 years ago I ordered the first time and the food wasn't very good at all. I left a bad review that was true to my experience. About a year ago I wrote another review. Refuting my whole entire first review but I dont think it got posted . I can't find it . So I have to say that my first time ordering . Mr chefs must have had a bad night. This Chinese Food place was amazingly delicious. We had to go to Fall River to get Chinese food, because we moved from Quincy to Onset Village and there's absolutely nothing for good Chinese food!! I'm so happy we found Mr. Chen's family owned restaurant. Mrs. Chen is obsessed with LEGO. Her whole restaurant has a bunch of works she has made all with LEGO. We love your place Mrs. Chen! I been two this place a few time based on the hype it gets. Ask anyone in Fall River where to go for Chinese American food and the most common answer is Mr.Chens. Not my first time here. First time I had it I had questions about the chicken. Texture was weird kinda like the they mixed shredded chicken into a batter and made nuggets. This time I tried the Szechuan beef with pork fried rice. There also can option to make it a combo which adds two sides. I chose chicken fingers and fried jumbo shrimp. Honestly, I could've left those two items out. The batter kinda tasted like a pancake mix and way too thick for the small pieces of protein. Both the chicken and shrimp were be overcooked.overcooked and a bit greasy. I can never understand why fried rice needs to be so dark but it must be an East Coast thing. I ordered from Mr. Chen for dinner tonight to try a menu item I have had my eye on. We got the cheesy AF appetizer and I got the house chow fun. It was absolutely delicious and I have a lot left over. His portions are huge. I follow Mr. Chen on social media and he is an incredible business owner. His philanthropy and generosity through a small business is incredible along with his wit, honesty, hilarious sense of humor, excellent food and service makes supporting his families restaurant, easy! I will always say Fall River has some of the best American Chinese food around, and Mr. Chen is second to none. Ordered online and it was done in 20 minutes. The general tso chicken pieces were big and flavorful and can get different levels of spice. Also got the chourico fried rice and it was so good! Love to see some Portuguese fusion. We have been hearing about Mr.Chens for years and finally tried it for the first time! I ordered the following items for take-out: -Chicken Chow Mein Dinner Combo w/ house lo-mein -Orange Chicken Dinner Combo w/fries (Both combos also come with your choice of appetizers. We went with chicken fingers and egg rolls!) -Rangoon Nachos -Deep Fried Dumplings All for about $50. When I walked in to pick up my order, the first thing I noticed was Lego collection through-out the restaurant. It was a cool and impressive touch! The woman at the counter was extremely prompt and friendly as well! Once we got the food home we noticed that the portion sizes were insanely large for the price we paid. We will have enough leftovers for 2 more meals. Everything tasted amazing and fresh. The sauce on the orange chicken was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. The chicken itself was great, and doesn't have that weird texture you often get from other Chinese food spots. The fries were a bit soggy but I won't deduct points as I did have a long ride home. The Rangoon nachos are the perfect deconstructed crab Rangoon. This is a unique appetizer for sure. The wonton chips were crispy but solid enough to not break under the absolute mayhem of the mountain of cream cheese filling they laid under. Ordered for the second time in a row for Christmas Eve (at the request of family from out of state that does not get Fall River style Chinese food). Cost was over $450 for 6 half pans of food (streamed veggies, beef teriyaki, chicken fingers, crab rangoon, fried rice, and lo mein) and 2 large orders of strained chow mein. For the second year in a row they forgot all of the noodles for the chow mein. We specifically asked this time before we left (given what happened last year). They confirmed verbally that the noodles were in the bag. Upon getting home (25 minutes away on Christmas Eve), the noodles were not in the bag. I called and asked for the owner to call me after the holiday and I received no phone call. Additionally, two of my guests got sick from the food. Chicken fingers were doughy and undercooked, rice was hard and dry. This will be the last time we ever order from them. I had one place I used for years until I found out about Mr.Chens! this is now the only place I will go as the food is amazing!! so many different choices and they go above and beyond to make sure you get the best flavors and portions! the service is always amazing I usually order right online and it's here within a reasonable timing. We have heard so many great reviews and were excited to try Mr. Chen's for the first time last night. We placed our over 70$ delivery order at 7:20pm. We expected that it would take a little while, however after waiting over an hour, we called to inquire about our order. We were asked several times for our phone number, and then told that the order came back to the restaurant. They offered to send the order back out for delivery, which we declined because at this point the food would not be fresh. After going back and forth with them they essentially blamed us for their mistakes. Very disappointed in the customer service. read more

We were hesitant to try based on the bad reviews about messed up orders and lack of flavor but we are glad we went to form our own opinion! We ate in and the portions were huge. I was happy with my combination plate of pork fried rice, chicken teriyaki, spring rolls and shrimp and Chinese vegetables. Had another out of it since the portions were huge. Hubby ordered pork fried rice with crab Rangoons, chicken fingers with General Tso's. We were disappointed that many of the chicken pieces in the General's were just dough balls, no chicken! And the crab Rangoons didn't have any crab. One meal was a hit the other a "miss". Nothing was outstanding so we won't be returning. read more

We got take-out there. Food was EXCELLENT. We got house lo mein, chow mein (recently they were taught by the retired owners of Mee Sum's on how they made theirs), chicken fingers and egg rolls. All prepared with fresh ingredients and with care. Food packed nicely, brought out hot and on point. So tasty! We will be back! The place has ample parking and is exceptionally clean. For decorations there are all kinds of lego creations. The menu is larger than most, plenty to choose from. There were about six booths but I think the dining area may be closed. Not sure. Went to Mr.Chen Chinese restaurant for take out today first time going and the last I ordered two chow mean sandwiches one beef for the wife one plan for myself and a small fried rice got home gave my wife here's just as she was going to take her first bite she pulled out a hair ya a hair it all went in the trash I call and told them they said they would make me up a new order I said no one and done.
