I manage a large warehouse in the area. We celebrate every quarter that we finish without workplace injury with a meal on the company. The team gets to choose wherever they want the food from. Last year, we tried Happy Garden when they chose to get Chinese-American food. Ever since, Happy Garden has been the go-to. The food is always perfect and the service is excellent! When I pick up the order they even bring it out to my vehicle and help me load it up! When a crew of 25 workers all want the same thing every quarter, especially when they can get practically whatever they want, that's saying something. So I ordered a small chow main $6 and a shrimp plate $10 and a soda $? Total =26.40 Plus waiting and would leave without tip..$4. So total was $30.40 and I wasnt told the price just charged it. The food is good and fresh, the portions are generous, and it is still hot by the time we get home. Personally, I wish the Mei Fun was more seasoned but it is still good. They have tostones!! I couldn't believe it! They're awesome! Plus, the staff is patient, kind, and amicable. The only problem is that it is on the way home, lol! I really wish I read these reviews before my co-workers and I ordered lunch from here the other day. What a complete and utter disappointment. I will never order food from here again. I'm guessing this place stays in business because apparently there are some people who actually like the food from here. . . two of my co-workers picked this place over another when we were choosing where to order from. Most likely, they have a few dishes that are winners (from what I read General Tso's Chicken may be one). So unless you've already figured out which ones these are. . . I'd suggest finding a new restaurant to order from. I called in, placed the order (which we reviewed several times), and repeated over and over again where the food was to be delivered. The delivery guy still didn't know where to go when he arrived, but, benefit of the doubt. . . sometimes it can be difficult to figure out where we are. When we were able to go through all the food we discovered that instead of sending 2 wonton soups, they delivered 1 and a random chow mein. Since we were ordering for a large amount of people, I considered it understandable that things may have gotten mixed up. We called back so that we could get the wonton soup we ordered. Now. . . this has happened on several occasions with other places. We call, they deliver what should have been delivered, apologize for their mistake, and we say its no big deal. Not this time!!! The women on the other end insisted we ordered the chow mein and refused to deliver a wonton soup. She then went on to yell at us in Chinese and hung up! Extremely rude! Annoyed by this encounter, I waited for my lunch break and finally sat down with my food. I ordered the Beef Lo Mein. . . and it was absolutely disgusting. The beef was stringy and fatty, the noodles limp and flavorless. I ended up picking at the noodles until I couldn't take it anymore and got something different from the cafeteria. Been coming here for years, and they've steadily declined. Have tried many different Chinese places in town. This, is by far, the best tasting Chinese food in town...WHEN THEY WANT TO BE... this is not the case anymore. When it's made fresh, they are great. I just moved to Fall River, Massachusetts and I wanted some Chinese Food. My friend suggested that I should go to Happy Garden. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken and Beef Teriyaki for me to pick up. I went there 10 minutes after I ordered and was surprised that my order was already ready! When I got home, I dove straight into the food. The General Tso's Chicken tasted delicious. And, I got a good portion for the amount I paid. This is definitely going to be my go-to for Chinese Food! One of the best Chinese restaurants in the Riv. Why only three stars? Because like most restaurants in this city the entire place is filthy and could use a deep cleaning. Maybe the grime is seasoning the food because its absolutely delicious. That's a gross joke but seriously they are always busy yet still manage to deliver food in reasonable windows of time, sometime faster than Domino's. The prices are average but the quantities can get a little skimpy. I've never gotten a bad plate here. There was a girl who had a language barrier that used to answer the phone and was a bit rude but they've since handled that. It's pretty much your typical northeast style Chinese food. The standouts are the chicken fingers and lobster sauce. Chicken fingers taste like they are spiced up a little compared to other Chinese take out. Lobster sauce has vegetables which is not a usual ingredient but I appreciated it. Cash only dropped it a star. Parking is not good, but their location is prime. Central in a major intersection. Overall good for Chinese take out. read more

Very cheap for how much food I got. I spent $11 and got a quart of wonton soup, along with the beef/broccoli combo with fried rice and an egg roll. Today my lovely fiancé and I order a Pu Pu Plater for one and Orange Chicken. For starters the fact that they divide the Pu Pu in half for you is awesome,but I digress. Awful. The atmosphere is abysmal and their kids were playing ball inside in the dining room when we picked up our food. I got teriyaki chicken, boneless spare ribs, and crab Rangoon. The chicken was all fat, the spare ribs were dry and tough, the rice was dry. The crab rangoons were SO soggy. The filling inside was delicious (only reason for the 2 stars instead of one) but the shells were so soggy and chewy. They should be crispy and light. I'm going back to China sails. read more

It is not the prettiest place but its not supposed to be a fancy restaurant its fast food! I can see most of the kitchen from the front counter so I don't know what other people are talking about! I have been put on hold but they get very busy so you can't blame them for it! Every time I order the food has been the same and its good typical Chinese take out!
