I have not been in 3 years. I flew past the place ( be careful because the speed drops to 45, had enforcement actually been in their vehicle I would have received a ticket!) Not in Luther anymore. I was very happy not to get dirt and sand in my shoes as I expected! We were in the banquet room/hall for lunch and it's too bad they opened the garage door to the back with 91-94 degrees, all it does is let in flies ( I guess for the "full country" experience it's perfect). They DESPERATELY!! need a seating chart, interrupted every 5-10 minutes shouting out names and wait staff had no idea what table the guests were at so everyone had to stop their conversations for interruptions the whole time. Orders also were placed ( back to the kitchen, or the kitchen was unorganized, haphazardly, 1st to order at the table got food last. I ordered 1/2 chicken and the light meat was in edible ( everyone's in my group) it was too salty. I was surprised (not in a good way) that Arcadia has a 33% liquor tax! A $6 beer turns into $8! Then a tip and oh boy 9-10 bucks for a brewsky. The worst part was paying the bill with the auto built in 18% tip! Many wound up double tipping. So be careful!! read more

The food was Ok, I got the chicken sandwich and it was decent. Service was great, our waitress was always making sure we were fine food and drink wise. I personally really liked the ambiance, they had live music and it's a good place to get some drinks with friends or hangout with family. read more

I've been going here for years. Always had a great time. Today some girl came and told me if I didn't leave immediately she was calling the cops because my dog barked. I won't be going back, and if you have dogs, beware. This was hopefully an isolated incident, but they shouldn't hire people who threaten and run people away. We were part of a group of ten that chose the Shack for dinner one Friday evening. The wait was long, but the food was worth it. There was plenty to keep the kids entertained, and the adults enjoyed the area outside. Ms Charitee, our server, was so much fun, and so helpful in guiding us through our choices. You would whine that if you did one thing, you would be good at it... not the case. The tenders I got (6 piece $25) were somehow soggy on the outside and terribly dry on the inside. No amount of sauce could make it okay. The two I was with go 1/2 a chicken and the pork sandwich that was a special on the board. The pork tasted like it was from a tub from the store but the fries were good. The 1/2 chicken was okay once he "made it past the armor" and that man rarely complains about anything. It doesn't matter how large the tender is if it's horrible. The potatoes awesome and okra were good. I'm a dipper of tenders into potatoes and gravy and opted not to ruin to small amount of potatoes provided. The food at the restaurant was excellent, but I would not recommend it to people with disabilities. I have myoclonus dystonia, which makes it difficult for me to eat and drink. During my visit, the bartender asked me how much I had to drink because she assumed that I was intoxicated instead of considering the possibility that I had a disorder. This was my first time here along with my fiancé. There were four of us in our party. We had such a super sweet server named Kassidee. She was very attentive, friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The flavors were definitely there! 3 of us ordered the whole chicken and 2 sides, the fourth person ordered broasted strips and 2 sides. Everything was so moist and tender. Definitely loved the food and atmosphere. The downside....the restrooms and the stench is horrific. We almost lost our dinner. If you come to the location sit far away from the restrooms and try not to use them if you can. Luckily it wasn't that busy tonight, I can only imagine what the restrooms smell like when they are busy. read more

Lunch at chicken shack was great. We ordered the 30 buffalo wings for 20 dollars. The wings were large and cooked perfect. The buffalo sauce was good. The cold slaw was very good as well. The service was excellent and the restaurant is very nice. read more

If you like chicken you'll love The Chicken Shack! We've only been twice (so far) but both times it was very good! Limited menu consisting of Broasted chicken, chicken strips, broasted pork chops, gizzards and wings with variety of sauces. ( 10 sides available) My favorite side is the broasted wedges!! Impossible to find I was happy to see them here! So good! (must dip in ranch) Large dining area, very large bar, outdoor seating and live music. The servers are very friendly and fun. We were told they are adding burgers and sandwiches soon so will definitively be going back! read more

This place is fine overall. Positives were how moist and tender the chicken was. Things not so great were how briny the chicken tasted and the sheer number of flies in the place. So, I'd say it's worth checking out if your friends have talked about it, but not worth going out of your way. read more

Love going to the chicken shack for the atmosphere and the obvious..... good chicken. Last night was a disappointment. We ordered a whole chicken with baked beans and Jalapeño Cornbread. We added a family order of wedges which is 8. The chicken was way over cooked and all the crispy goodness and fallen off of it. It seemed like it had been sitting quite a while because the crispy goodness either came laying next to the chicken or hanging from it and was soggy. The wedges were good but not seasoned and the jalapeño cornbread was good. Service was OK, it seemed like our server was taking care of the whole room by herself. She needed some help. read more

It was a good first experience here! The reason for a star deduction was just the chaos post-rain. We arrived around the time it stopped raining, so it took a little bit for the people outside to get seated & order. We didn't mind waiting, but it's just something to keep in mind if you're heading there during weather. When we did get a server, Vance was phenomenal. He had great energy even though we could tell everyone was stressed from the rain. Overall the ambiance was relaxing, kids were playing, people were all enjoying drinks. The place is really cute outside. There's corn hole, a playground, and I think even a volleyball net. We stayed pretty late! We enjoyed hanging out and snacking. We all ordered an array of things, but I specifically got the 10 Chicken Wings (Sweet & Spicy), 6 Strips & 2 Sides, and a drink called the Barn House (I think).
