This place has an awesome arraignment of sauces I recommend the spicy sauce! It's delicious! However it is expensive! So expensive you might be better off getting the kids menu order of chicken strips. And honestly it is just chicken! It is good quality chicken but how much are you willing to spend on chicken strips? I pretty much pay for the sauce! You'll read a lot of Raising Canes comparisons in this review, because, frankly, I think it's the standard by which all chicken strips should be judged upon. Whenever I'm out at a "junk food" establishment, I tend to gravitate towards ordering chicken strips, so I've had my fair share of eating them over the years. You can usually tell if, 1) the chicken meat is not fresh, 2) the breading is too thick, or 3) it doesn't taste like chicken at all. Fortunately, I thought that they passed all 3 tests. The chicken meat was tender and juicy, still pipin' hot from the deep fryer. I did notice a slight difference from Raising Canes, favorably, in they had a bit more spice and seasoning on the outer crust. I love spicy and bold flavors, so it was all good for me. Their "special" sauce is just about identical to Raising Canes. I didn't try the fries, the toast, or anything else, so I can't comment on those. As far as I'm concerned, they're just empty calories. If I'm going to splurge on fried foods, I'm strictly going for the good stuff. Overall, a nice alternative to Raising Canes, but definitely a lot more expensive. We ordered only 5 pieces of chicken strips, and it was around $7.50 with tax. At Raising Canes, you can get 6 pieces, with fries, toast, and a drink for about a dollar more! read more

When it comes to chicken sandwiches, I can't help but compare to Chick-fil-A. I try not to but I just really like chicken sandwiches from Chick-fil-A. Chicken Now is located inside the food court at the mall and usually there is a line but it goes by really quick. We came here for a quick bite to eat and I ordered their Original Chicken Sandwich with fries. I ordered Honey Mustard Sauce to go with my sandwich. My chicken sandwich was okay. I mean that's not saying anything in a bad way. It wasn't a bad sandwich and I liked it just fine but that was it. It definitely needed the sauce (ANY SAUCE) because it was a little bland. I was really hoping for some spice in the sandwich but none there. I didn't like the honey mustard sauce at all and actually just used ketchup on my sandwich. The fries were good though but can you really mess up fries? Overall, I doubt I'll be back just because the food court has a lot of other options but it does satisfy my chicken sandwich cravings for a bit. 3/5 read more

This is located inside the Santa Anita Mall in the food court near Johnny Rockets. I was hearing such rave reviews on the chicken & the spicy sauce, I had to come for a visit. I got the 2 tender kid's meal that came with fries, drink & spicy sauce. It took a few mins to get the food, so I sampled the two sauce flavors during this time. Decided on the spicy because the mild didn't have much flavor. When we got the order, the kids meal comes inside a small box just big enough for the chicken & fries. Open the box quick! Otherwise, you'll get soggy tenders & fries. Don't forget to shake the box around to loosen the tightly packed fries. The chicken tenders were okay tasting, the samples were better because the chicken got soggy quick. The sauce was pretty good, but not mindblowing like I expected, tasted like tabasco in ranch dressing with something fresh I couldn't put my finger on. The portions were ok, but pretty pricey. Yesterday ate at Chicken now and I got the chicken mash potato bowl and the BF got the chicken strip combo. Mine was OK. It was definitely a generous portion, but the potatos were a little too sweet for my liking. They also chop the chicken into little bits so its not as tasty that way. This is probably one of the tasiest options at the food court at the Santa Anita Mall. The chicken is nice and crispy on the outside and very moist on the inside. It is well seasoned and pairs perfectly with the spicy sauce. The service is usually average here and you get one free refill for your beverage and they also have pink lemonade and kool aid options besides the soft drink options. The chicken tenders are full of juicy flavor. For a great bite, take a couple fries, a piece of chicken, and a bit of toast, then dip it and chow down. Mouthwatering stuff right there. I just picked up a grilled chicken ceasar salad to-go from this location and I have to say that this is by far the worst salad I have EVER had. I literally threw the entire salad away. The lettuce itself was wilted/brown and soggy but that isn't even the worst part. I figured I could at least eat the grilled chicken and throw the salad part away but in the first bite of chicken I noticed there was something very hard and immediately spit it out, it looks like some kind of nerve or chicken bone. I examined other pieces of chicken and found several more chunks of chicken with nerve/bone sticking out. Needless to say I'm completely disgusted and tossed the salad in the trash. One day while eating lunch at work, my coworker pulled out a box that said "Chicken Now" on it, and he told me there was one in the Santa Anita mall. Had never heard of it but wanted to try it, but never had a reason to go to the mall until last night, so we decided to give this place a try. Good call! We ordered two 4-piece chicken tender box combos ($8.99 each) and a 5-piece order of chicken tenders (about $6), which ended up being too much food for our little family of four. Those combos come with fries, a drink and a piece of Texas Toast, but for just $1 more, they'll make it a grilled cheese sandwich! Chicken is all white meat, perfectly fried, not over battered, moist, juicy and well seasoned. Fries are good too. Not sure if they're double fried or very lightly battered/dusted but there was definitely an added crunch/crispiness to the fries. Apparently, each order come with two dressings only, so choose wisely, I think j saw about 8 different dipping sauces, but we kept it simple and got some ranch and some of their "spicy" and "mild" house sauces which was very tasty. Tastes like ranch dressing mixed with buffalo sauce. Spicy was too spicy for my 11 year old, but the 8 year old loved it. This place is way better than Chik-fil-A! read more

Again, ordering the Southwest Chicken Salad, I wasn't completely satisfied. It seems that in this location they give a smaller portion, they don't give you the bread that it comes with, the chipotle/spicy sauce/dressing isn't how it's supposed to be, and most importantly my chicken wasn't that good. For the chicken to not be good at a chicken place, that's pretty bad. The spicy sauce that they market, shouldn't be sweet. Yes, I had to emphasize DELICIOUS with uppercase letters because I really want anyone who reads this to believe what I am writing. Depending on the day you go, this place has good specials. I've had their 4-piece chicken tenders with 2 sides for around $5-6 at the West Covina location. I chose the fried bananas and spicy black beans for my sides. The black beans were great. The bananas were good, but a bit dry. At the Arcadia location I bought their Original Chicken Sandwich, around $5, and it was AWESOME (once again, uppercase...believe me!)
