Went there with my mother. The lady behind the counter never even said "Hi" just stood there staring blankly. Then I asked for a veggie chop and she stated it was on the menu when it wasnt at all and bickered for me for a bit of how its on the menu and im just not seeing it so finally she came out from the counter and viewed the menu with me and realized I was right. Anyways she ended up making on. Charged me extra for veggies being on it and for brown rice and never ever mention it until it was time to pay. This was our first time here. Our thinking as soon as we went in was to pick the crowd favorite (at least according to their web site) original chop chop. This turned out to be a huge mistake. After 6 tbsp of the salsa, 2 tbsp mustard, salt, pepper, a tbsp of vinegar that they had, it was marginally edible. Same story with the other item we ordered. I don't think I'd return here. Stay away! I ordered for delivery, they told me an hour wait which I thought was ridiculous since I live less than 5 minutes but I couldn't leave my house so I decided to wait. An hour passed, and hour and 15 minutes passed and I still hadnt received my chicken! So I called, they tell me my food should arrive within 5 minutes. I will forever love chicken kitchen. Been coming to this locations for years since it opened. It's a nice calm restaurant. The service could be a bit better though. They will forever forget to give me my pita bread with my chop chop. I always have to ask for it. However I'm convinced they do this on purpose to save and conserve money! And they never give me the drink that's included with the kids menu. I may know the menu better than them. I get it, you may be so busy you slip. I'm human and understand but all the time? They've done a facelift to the inside of this place which is really nice. The food is ok. Great to pick up for quick dinner option that serves plenty. My two remarks are the very popular yellow sauce has become a bit more watered down it's not as dense as it once was and the chicken is rather dry. As a long time customer for many, many years I have to say that I've reached my limit with the lack of customer service and flat out rudeness. Not expecting anything other than common courtesy. Not sure why we get push back when asking for refrigerated sauce, it's a very simple thing that makes your customer happy. I suspect that it is because your rude and lazy employees do not want to refill to go sauce containers. Not asking to make fresh sauce just to give your customers the option of a refrigerated one if he or she asks for it, especially if you are not aware of the health concerns behind such a request. I'm very disappointed about the service I received today. I ordered an Original Chicken chop kids meal, chicken cesar wrapito and a large bazooka. The kid who made our order was spaced out... we told him 4 times it was to go and it was as if we never asked him. We asked him for a bag and he was like it's over there... um it was behind the counter. There was no one there to give us a bag. I get home and there is NO Cesar dressing at all and there is no black beans OR corn. I went with the Mexican wrapito, but I noticed they now have brown rice, mashed potatoes, sweet potato mash, and whole wheat pitas. It's really hard to screw up chicken and rice and if it's ever sub-par, you can slather the fantastic mustard and curry sauce on it. So I was confused when I saw the total was so high and I went up to the employee to ask why it was an extra dollar and the cashier yells from the other side of the room to tell me that it's extra. This Chicken Kitchen used to be THABOMB.com but now not so much! It used to be owned by two brothers, who kept place squeeky clean and the food was fresh. Now since it is no longer a franchise, the food quality sucks! Sometimes they give you chicken that has been sitting out all day and it tastes like rubber. Came here with my daughter the place was a ghost town a lady with poor English attends us, we both do not eat meat so we ask if they have a "veggie chop chop" she said they do but not listed on the menu. So we go ahead and order that and ask for brown rice since she did ask what kind of rice we would like then she puts some lettuce with soggy tomatoes and watered down beans. Location no longer offers the ability to buy a half a chicken, so that you will be suckered into buying one of their chops. At other locations I have never been nickel and dimed on the quantity of chicken they put on the chop. Here, they are equipped with measuring cups. I'm relatively surprised they don't use the same measuring cups to cut costs on the metric ton of rice they serve on the chop. But don't worry, if you want more chicken, they've got you, fam. I had the Oriental Wrapito, pretty good, but I have had better. It had teriyaki chicken (the best park of the wrap), lettuce, tomato, and a few other yummy ingredients wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. The second time I had the Oriental Bowl which had all the ingredients of the wrap but sitting on brown rice instead of in the tortilla. I definitely prefer the wrap over the bowl. I actually didn't like it over the brown rice, even though it was a healthier choice. I also had a side of tomatoes in vinegar, that was VERY good. Prices are fine. read more

I use visit this chicken kitchen often. Compared to other fast food chains the meals at CK are way healthier. The food here (in my opinion) is very tasty. However, around January of this year 2013 I made a final decision to stop going there because it seemed to me like it is way too over priced. The Mexican now had black beans and the guacamole was now extra, on top of the fact the the prices had gone up. And even if I ask for no beans they will still charge me for the guacamole but not credit me the beans they kept. I decided today to give it another try. And I will never go back!!! Less rice,less chicken, less tomatoes and they charge extra now even if you want more of their sauce!!!
