It's so cozy and visually interesting with some fun kitschy themed deco and typical table seating. The proprietors are here all the time, working hard and well to make your experience golden. And it is! I love the pad Thai, hubby loves the duck, but you can't go wrong. It isn't just the pleasant establishment filled with really happy customers constantly expressing how wonderful their meal is. It isn't just the amazing food that tastes better than at any other Thai restaurant I've ever eaten at. It isn't the impeccable service that never falters except perhaps allowing the water glass to empty without noticing. And it isn't just. It is a combination of all of those things along with the family owned business with the owners on site making sure not only that every meal is perfect but also that every customer feels welcome. I just love this place. The see-through rolls are my very favorite appetizer. I usually get the shrimp but they must've misheard me and they served me chicken. I didn't see chicken on the menu. And I would've sent it back except it was so darn good that I may actually order it from time to time. The spring rolls are also quite good though I didn't have them this visit. Today's choice was the duck in a madaman curry. Served with jasmine rice it was outstanding. The flavors were so good and the duck was excellent. Everything was cooked perfectly. I savored every bite. My wife had the pad Thai. I have had it several times and been extremely satisfied. Many restaurants make it a bit too sweet but somehow they get the balance of Sweet n Savory perfect every time. The noodles are wonderful, but the flavor of the dish is memorable. For Thai food in the area they're actually is absolutely no other choice as far as I'm concerned. This is the best. I have yet to find anything that they don't make better than anywhere else. I have tried. And I really like the people that own and run the restaurant and the kind service that they give every single visit. Highly recommended.

In the past, everything we've tried has been consistently good, and there are so many options on the menu to choose from. We decided to dine in for my mother's birthday, and while the service in terms of getting our food out was quick, the food itself was a huge miss this time. Honestly, everything we ordered fell short, which was surprising given our previous experiences. What made it more disappointing was the birthday moment. We ordered dessert and asked if they could sing happy birthday. They brought out the dessert but didn't acknowledge the birthday at all. Then, less than five minutes later, they celebrated another table by singing, which made the situation feel even worse. Overall, we left feeling really let down. Hoping this was just an off night, but it definitely didn't match what we're used to from this place.

I wanted to like this place. Despite the overall rating being under four stars, there were several…read morerecent reviews that were stellar. I was sadly disappointed. The restaurant itself is attractive. I arrive for lunch and it was empty. Despite nice seating in rooms with TV where I could watch the World Cup they sent me in the bar where the TVs were turned off. I came here specifically because when I searched it online and looked at the menu for the Kendall restaurant. There was a wonderful lunch menu with good pricing and excellent choices. However, when I asked the waiter/bartender for lunch menu, he said they don't have one. When I pointed out, I found it online, said that is only for the Coral Gables restaurant. When I showed him that clicking on the menus for Kendall specifically showed a lunch menu he shrugged his shoulders and said I could not have it. I was taking it back because none of the ingredients on the lunch menu were unavailable so it would've been easier to make me what I was ordering rather than blowing me off. But blow me off he did. I was hungry, so I decided to order one of the combinations. It was well priced although higher than what I was planning to pay for lunch. I started with the salad, which was your typical salad that you get an Asian restaurant. What I did like was that they served the dressing on the side, which is really nice because they tend to overdo it when they put it on themselves in most Japanese restaurants. When the food came out, it was to include a California roll chicken teriyaki some sashimi and sushi. The California roll was quite good, although it was very heavy on the rice. The chicken teriyaki was not served with rice, which was strange because it would've been nice with the sauce to have some. The fish was at best average; it was fresh, but it was not particularly flavorful. The overall experience was average. Problematic because of the refusal to serve the menu that they advertise, to be seated in the only area where I could not watch the game that was being televised on the TVs, and the poor attitude when I asked about the menu, reduce the experience substantially and average food is not enough to overcome that. This is a restaurant that I can pass on as there are far better choices for this cuisine.

I've been coming MOON for many year with friends and family. I eat there typically twice a month…read more Food has always been very good for the most part which is why I keep going there. In the past year or so, I noticed they seem to want to change to a more sports bar theme. Staff used to be more well-dressed, collared shirt, professional restuarant looking waitress and waiters. Now their dress attire is too casual, hoodies, random graphic T-shirts, Daisy Duke cut-off shorts. Each waitstaff dresses in their own personal street clothes. Some of them don't look like they even work there. It looks out of place and less professional almost like a dive-bar. Even other sports bars have required uniforms which make them more professional looking. It doesn't match Moon's Thai-Japanese restaurant ambiance. IMO, It's not a good first impression for new customers. I will continue to go there because the service and food quality is still very good, and in the end, that's the most important thing that matters to me.
