I am not sure what happened to this location recently, but service has been superb now. I always get the livers. I've been there 3 times and each time the food is nice and fresh. My only concern is that the fries could be cooked a little bit loI was told that this location has a new manager and it sure does show. The staff is friendly, and my orders have been accurate. Today, I was running errands with my son in Saginaw and decided to stop at this location. I have to be in a particular mood for chicken tenders so when I am in the mood, I like to swing by a Chicken Express. I do have to say though that these are by far the smallest chicken tenders I've ever received at any of their locations. When we opened the box we were kind of shocked. The meal was $11.90. Maybe inflation has affected them also? lol. Now when we went through the drive thru they weren't very busy so for the service I would say a 3.5 because they were pretty quick getting us through the line, order was correct and food was not fresh but still warm. I ordered a #1- 4 piece chicken tender meal with half spicy/half regular chicken, green beans and a roll half sweet/half unsweetened tea. This is a brand new location. I've been inside and through the drive-through several times and the service is fast and the interior of the restaurant is always clean. In addition to that, the workers are always friendly and helpful. The food is always hot, fresh, and often times they throw in a few extra chicken tenders. Apparently they stop having food ready at a certain undisclosed time and they claim it takes 25 minutes to prepare. So if you show up a few minutes before close they have no food. The best part is they are rude and unapologetic or sympathetic to the fact that I had two teenagers that just finished hockey practice. Customer service is apparently a thing of the past. Would. Horrible. I've been to this one in Saginaw multiple times and it's gone downhill. Last time my chicken tenders where not edible they were hard as a rock-all crust-and very small and broken. Out nearly $10. YUCK. Went to the ladies' room afterward and the smell was horrific! I couldn't wait to get out of there. Today I stopped in again-for the last time. This time I ordered two breasts and mashed potatoes. I Opened the lid of the potatoes and was horrified. A big area was missing from the side, couldn't see much gravy, and the potatoes looked dried up. Took them to the counter-the guy switched them for me-I just learned today those potatoes are mass produced and kept in a tall warmer already in their bowls. They sit there all day long heating or maybe longer. The bowl he gave me didn't look much better. Barely any gravy and very small amount of potatoes. I get back to my seat and guess what? NO FORK in the box and none on the counter. Had to go back wait again to get a fork. The breasts were solid grease, and cooked in old oil. I could tell first bite. Out $10 again. I gathered my things to leave and stopped in the ladies room. Once again, it reeked of sewer smell. The health dept needs to pay a visit here for sure. NOT HAPPY CHICKEN EXPRESS. Terrible service for the last time. Went through the drive thru and got a 7piece dinner with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. Should have checked.... Got home 15m later to find a 3 piece with mac and cheese. I called the "manager" and said i needed to fix it today because what I was given me would only feed a child. The manager asks me to find a number on the receipt and then repeats my order. I return the food and wait for a replacement. They do not give me mashed potatoes and try to say it wasn't on the order. I really like their Chicken Tenders and gravy, BUT, I cannot risk bringing covid-19 home just because the staff does not wear their masks while handling my food. I ordered a 25 chicken tenders meal plus poppers and a gallon of tea in the drive through before lunch this morning before pulling my card back and refusing to accept the order. I can wash my hands and all of the stuff I buy at Lowes before bringing them into the house, but my risk is too high if the food workers breath on my food as it sits under the warming lamp.
