I went through the drive-through today, and maybe this doesn't matter for a lot of people but for me I was extremely upset. I had order my large sweet with LIGHT ICE. Meaning a smaller amount of ice than what they usually put so I could get some more tea. They filled this thing ALMOST TO THE TOP WITH ICE. Tried ordering online. Worst decision. They tell you they'll notify you when your order is ready. Waited an hour before deciding to go up there. Had to wait ten more minutes to get my food. Food definitely wasn't the greatest. I didn't get nuggets, like a lot of reviewers, but my chicken wasn't any good. I think I ate one tender out of the four; it was very chewy and rubbery. It literally stretched when I tried to pull off a piece. I also asked for honey mustard; it was gelatinous (think scooping instead of dipping) and tasted old. Absolutely horrible. We make the trek from Dallas to Wichita quite often and opted for this location, versus Denton. HUGE mistake. $50 worth of cold food. Maybe it was hot two hours ago? Normally when we hand the meals to the kids we are so careful because it's hot, (as it should be.) Everyone was saying, "eww, it's all cold." Tenders, fries, potatoes, everything. The biscuits were likely from three days ago as I felt like I was going to chip a tooth. Icing on the cake, "can we get lots of napkins," asked three times. "Yeah, they're in the bag." No napkins. The kids working here had good customer service, but there is an awful sewage smell coming from the place, drive thru & drive thru register weren't working, and the fish I ordered was so dark I'm sure the grease is a month or more old. Because we like the spicy chicken tenders, we normally would give Chicken Express 4 stars. Unfortunately, today they get 1 Star; not because of the food, but because of the service. We understand that a large order was being packed. We were willing to wait. Well I've never dined in before and the last experience I had at this chicken express was Aug 2014. My friend and I rolled up through the drive thru at 9:34 and the guy told us they closed at 9:30. Oookkkk. Weird time to close. Back to this visit. The tables naturally look dirty, but I saw a woman wiping them down. Just don't eat food off the table. Our order looked appetizing. The fish was really good. Exceeded my expectations. Crispy and seasoned well. If you don't like gravy on your mashed potatoes be sure to tell them. So my daughter goes back to ask for a mashed potato w out gravy and the girl argues with her saying "your mom didn't tell us you didn't want gravy." Who the flip cares!!! You just fix it. This location is horrible. Went there tonight and got a family meal. The corn was obviously from their lunch rush. It tasted horrible. They also did not include the gravy that was supposed to come with the meal. The kid who took my order forgot my tea. When I talked to the manager, she told me she would take care of my gravy next time I came in. I live 40 minutes from this location. I do not want free gravy with my next order because I will never go there again. Do yourself a favor and completely avoid this location if you can.... worst service you can ask for. Also towel machine is broken Kids are sharp but you would think the owner would have the Kids clean up the mess, AND PICK UP A MOP AND CLEAN UP ACCORDING TO WHAT IS NEEDED... This place neither has chicken, nor is it express. Every single time my husband and I go in, they tell us it's going to be a 30 minute wait to cook chicken. They constantly wait until people ask for chicken instead of having it ready to go, or at least almost ready to go, when customers come in. The employees are constantly mumbling and don't care. There's always 6-8 people, mostly teenagers, at the front texting or playing around with each other while the line grows and customers become increasingly frustrated. If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. Which is sad, because their food is so good when they get it right. The employees are just horrendous. I've tried to give this place the chance to make up for their shortcomings by returning, but after several trips over the last few months, I've lost all hope of the restaurant or the employees ever actually having chicken or being in any way, shape, or form "express". read more

This Chicken E was so dirty when we visited. The lady's restroom was nasty and the men's restroom was broken and smelled horrible. It was not busy, we stopped in at 4:30 and there was not one clean table in the place, the floors were dirty, and trash cans were over flowing.
