I wouldn't have given it that high a rating but jt was a nice hike. When you first start the trail there is a fork for the loop, either you go down into the forest or go straight along the cliff. Most people we ran into seemingly walked down into the forest first, which meant they walked uphill most of the hike. We went straight along the cliff wall and ended up walking down hill for most of the 5 mile loop. It really was only the last half a mile that was uphill to get back to the start of the trail. I highly advise to go straight to make less work on yourself esp if you're elderly or with young families. I saw a few people turn around because the hike up was becoming too much. We had three children 5 and under who didn't feel tired until we were into the half mile uphill for reference on the different experiences you can have depending on the route you take.

Located on top of Sand Mountain with abundant wildlife respected at every turn. The owners have gotten this property designated as a Certified Wildlife Habitat. They did indeed stress there were certain rules for guests due to that, but I thought it was great! A little patio out front was ideal to watch the ducks in the lake while we had our morning coffee. I was in the Harrison area for a long weekend with my husband, mother-in-law, and brother-in-law…read more We picked Harrison Bay State Park for our morning hike on Sunday morning. We love a good hike, so we picked the park's longest hike - the Bay Point Loop trail (a 4.5-mile loop). The park's website calls the trail "moderate" but we definitely felt it was easy. Very flat and not very strenuous - more of a walk than a hike! But the entire trail loops around a winding peninsula on Harrison Bay - so you have water views throughout the hike (which was lovely)! Even on a Sunday during our COVID summer, the trail wasn't crowded. We only saw a few other hikers or runners. The trail is a little hard to find - the park's signage isn't great - but if you find the parking lot behind the marina, the trail is sort of hiding at the back of the parking lot. For a fairly easy hike, this trail has some gorgeous water views. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

Came here with Troop 513 and our Boy Scouts and adults really enjoyed a truly wonderful and satisfying experience. The cave exploration is definitely an adventure and challenging and pushes you to the limit while being guided by experienced guides. Our cave guides were Tristan and Emily and both were very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable of the cave and their experience definitely made what would have otherwise been a very frustrating and difficult task a fun and truly memorable experience. Tip: you can bring your phone if you aren't afraid to possibly damage or lose it as you will be crawling and squeezing through many parts of the adventure. 5 stars for the cave adventure and 5 stars for the campgrounds. Thank you for all you do for the scouts and making this great experience available to the public!

The Manager confronted us at our campsite after we complained about a parking issue. She brought 3 staff members to our camper.
