This business actually used the Dave's stock images on their Yelp photos, so it's clear they are trying to emulate them. The chicken tenders are lightly breaded white meat that is in between juicy and dry, actually a little juicier than Dave's. The breading is light and crunchy, but not very flavorful. They deliver on spice though! I ordered two sliders: one medium and one extra hot. I will say their spice levels are accurately named. The medium was just a hint of heat, while the extra hot made my head sweat. The person working there mentioned they couldn't do two different spice levels for an order of tenders+side, but only if I ordered sliders+side. Really not sure why they operate that way since the chicken would be prepared the same way. They did write the spice levels on the inside of the lid to distinguish between the two sliders. The fries were just average fries with a hint of Cajun seasoning sprinkled on. I thought the potato buns were the right choice due to the fluffiness, paired with the light crunch of the chicken with the pickles and house sauce, which was a low-heat spicy mayo rendition. We were in the mood for some comfort food so got the "2 sliders n side" and the peri peri fries to share. The fries were BOGO, otherwise we would've been fine with one order. The chicken was crispy and juicy. Spice level was perfect (we opted for medium). The mac and cheese side was creamy and hit the spot, but definitely had a fast food taste/texture to it. Well, let me say how happy I was trying this food today. I saw this place the other week and have been waiting for the right time. As you can see from the pictures the portion sizes are great. I ordered a combo of 2 sliders and a side and the sliders were huge. The chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy with a great crunch from the fry and the cold slaw. I have to say, I love spicy and I ordered my food medium and it had a nice low level burn. Will get a bit hotter next time to see the height of fire. The dining area seconds as a supply room, with boxes of bread and commercial sized jugs of cooking oil piled helter skelter on the floor. When asked if they had a restroom, was told it was out of order. When asked if the faucet worked so I could wash my hands, I was answered with a shake of the head. I was afraid to ask where they go to the bathroom. My son and I ordered and I paid. It was then I looked at the food prep/ cooking area. OMG!!! Like a science experiment that exploded. Unrecognizable liquid coated the walls, the floor, the counter, the pots and pans. If a health inspector walked in, he/ she would close the place immediately and place a biohazard sticker on the locked front door. Great local food at a great price, it's one of those places where you could definitely see yourself being a regular due to price location and quality. I came here cause I was curious to see how hot chicken was done here and if it would match up to the competition here in NYC and in Nashville where the dish originally came from. While it didn't beat Nashville it definitely beats whatever is in NYC at the moment. I ordered the loaded fries and the slider chicken tender combo and both items exceeded expectation. The fries and the chicken were super crispy, the same can be said of the chicken in both the slider and the chicken finger, but despite the chicken being spiced just right, with a nice crispy coat ultimately the star of the show was the sauce they used to drizzle the loaded fries with and what they gave us on the side as a dipping sauce for the chicken. The sauce had a kick of chipotle, was hot and extremely rich, which helped take a slight edge off the spiciness of everything. We were craving some hot chicken so we decided to stop by chickndrip. We realized that this used to be "Off the Bone." The interior looks as though it is still under construction--almost unfinished. The benches are not comfortable to eat in because they are clunky and cannot be moved around to sit closer to the table. These are minor issues but we went ahead and ordered the combo "2 sliders n side." We wanted hot and extra hot, and were told that it will be an extra dollar for choosing two different heat levels. This was a bit unusual as we go to Dave's Hot Chicken all the time and it doesn't matter what level you choose--the price stays the same. Moreover, the menu does not specify an extra charge for different spice levels. Anyway, we ended up getting two "hot" sandwiches. They were so spicy that we were sweating. It was definitely hotter than Dave's "extra hot." I'm not sure how they assess the spice level because it was definitely not on par with "hot." Moreover, I realized afterwards that we were charged 13.99 for the "2 sliders n side" which is advertised as 12.99 on the menu. We got the same heat level so there shouldn't have been an extra dollar charge. It's also interesting to me that the 2 sliders n side is a combo, which is usually supposed to be a better deal than purchasing items individually, but it is two cents MORE EXPENSIVE than just getting two sliders with a side (as individual items instead of a combo). Each slider is $4.99 and each side is $2.99 so you would get two sliders and a side for $12.97 as opposed to the combo which offers the same food for $12.99, but actually charged us $13.99 for. They also charged us a 6% transaction fee. I have seen restaurants charge up to 4%, which is still pushing it, but these people are charging SIX PERCENT which means they are profiting off the transaction fee! They don't even have a sign up to state that they will charge 6% on credit cards. All in all, do not recommend this place with their nickel and dime tactics read more

My wife and I got the extra hot spice level, and we felt it was a good level of heat for us. Your mileage may vary based on your spice tolerance but there is a heat level for most folks to enjoy.
