I don't do fast food often but my grandchildren love Chick-fil-A so when I visit I tag along with my daughter. I seldom order but on this day I was hungry, so I ordered the Cobb salad with avocado ranch dressing. I also ordered the chick-fil-a sauce, I like to dip the chicken in the sauce and pour the ranch on the rest of the salad. Their salads are so fresh and clean and so delicious for a fast food place, this salad looks like it could be served in a nice restaurant. It comes with chick-fil-a nuggets, boiled eggs, cherry tomatoes, corn, bacon, and cheese. The only thing that would make it better is if it had red onions as an option. Hard to believe, but I've only eaten here one time before. I think the reason is because it is always crowded. What is really unbelievable is the level of service. There's an army of help at the counter and at the drive-through. Your food is brought to you. A person circulates in the dining room wiping off tables and taking trays and trash. I'll go ahead and give these guys credit, they work really hard to give speedy service. Their dining room is closed so everyone has to go through the drive thru. As lots of these locations do, they had people out ahead of the box taking orders. Something they did that I haven't seen others do was bringing orders to cars in line, so you might have been able to get out even faster. As for the food, it was the normal Chick-Fil-a food. Service at this Chick-fil-A was exceptional as usual throughout all of their locations. I'm not a huge fan of the food- or fast food in general, but I agree you can get a solid meal here that cost the same as other fast food competitors and seems more health conscious. I like chicken but probably my biggest gripe is that the menu consists of only chicken related items. I feel similarly about Raising Cane's - another all Chicken Menu. I choose Chick-Fil-A for three reasons: The Food. No, it's not gourmet, but it's consistently good. And it's somewhat healthier than typical fast-food fare. Be sure to try the fresh-squeezed lemonade. The Service. They're incredibly efficient and friendly at the same time. Once I came in right behind a visiting college sports team, and the staff were completely unruffled. I don't know how they train their staff, but I wish more restaurants would do it this way. My first impression of Chik-fil-a was... "What is all the hype about?" and "Why is there always such a long line in the drive through for this place, can it really be that great?" My answer...yes. It really is that great! We came here for the first time on my boyfriend's lunch break and we both tried one of their chicken sandwiches. He tried the Chik-fil-a spicy deluxe chicken sandwich and I had the char grilled chicken sandwich. We were both pleasantly surprised at how tasty and yummy they were. I simply adored the waffle fries, which are my favorite kind of fries, and the chik-fil-a sauce, just as yummy as the reputation it has. I've heard they have a Polynesian sauce so I'll have to try that. The customer service here stands out amongst the many fast food restaurants near by. I've eaten in each time I've visited this restaurant and all of the employees are incredibly friendly and helpful. They bring out the food too you if you're sitting down and always respond with, "my pleasure," a really nice touch in customer service here. On our visit today we experienced one of the most exception food service customer experiences. To the point that all 3 of our children even noticed and made unsolicited comments. "Wow he was nice." This is my only experience with a Chick-fil-a and to be honest I don't understand the hype about their food. It tastes like the typical fast food experience. To their credit, the food wasn't as gross as something I'd get at say, McDonalds, and it wasn't dripping with grease. I was also here when it was stupidly busy and it wasn't as clean as it could have been, and the lady behind the counter was obviously grumpy. She gets a pass though, because I probably would have been grumpy too. Every single time they mess it up. This time my wife picked up food while I was sleeping and didn't know to check it, not that she should have to check. It's amazing what scarcity can do to a community. In a town dominated by chain restaurants and obesity, the new stand-alone Chick-Fil-A openings in Bellevue and Papillion this past year seemed to receive more local media coverage than President Obama's campaign stop in neighboring Council Bluffs. Three months ago, the only place someone could get Chick-Fil-A in the Omaha-Metro was at an express location located inside the Mutual of Omaha bank building. A little over a year ago, only Mutual of Omaha employees had access to Chick-Fil-A. So what makes this chicken sandwich so special that it inspired crazed Nebraskan's to successfully petition the corporation in hopes of opening new locations in the state? And why does Chick-Fil-A generate constant lines inside (and out of) the restaurant that rival Memorial Stadium on Saturdays in the fall? Frankly I don't have a clue. Recently, I returned to Chick-Fil-A in search of trying to understand what would cause 100 fanatical restaurateurs to wait outside the day before the grand opening in hopes of receiving a one-year supply of chicken sandwiches. Having grown up in the South, I had been to Chick-Fil-A many times. But never could I remember it tasting so good that it gave me a self-induced orgasm. Maybe something had changed. A week ago, I went to the Papillion location right before the lunch rush (sure enough, come high noon there was line out the door). I took a minute to glance over the menu to see what changes had been made since my last visit 3 years ago. Chicken, chicken, and more chicken. Oh, and waffle fries too. Yup! Seemed about the same as I remembered it. I was tempted to just try "The Original Chicken Sandwich" which consists of a fried chicken breast, bun, and a couple pickles. That's it. Looks (and tastes) a lot like the Southern Chicken Sandwich you can get from Ronald and the golden arches. I opted to go with the #4 which was the Spicy Chicken Sandwich combo that came with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato and of course waffle fries and a soft drink. The final verdict? It tasted like chicken. Okay, to be fair, it tasted a little better than other fast food rivals. I guess I was secretly hoping I overlooked the news story where Gus Fring's Los Pollos Hermanos chicken chain had merged with Chick-Fil-A all while Mr. White was injecting the blue stuff into each chicken breast. To no avail, I had no hallucinations and I did not get addicted to Chick-Fil-A. In conclusion, Chick-Fil-A is a good option for those seeking a good (not great) fast food chicken sandwich for a reasonable price. The staff provides good southern hospitality and will come around and refill your drinks. And the ambience of the restaurant is typical of any new location: clean and over-the-top customer service. I will probably be back at some point in the distant future. But when the next location opens up in the Omaha area, you won't find me standing in line for days on end in hopes of getting a years supply of chicken sandwiches. First and foremost I would have to say I don't get the hype. Is it good, sure, is the staff friendly sure.. but is it out of this world, going to camp out all night to get free chicken.. nope. I visit this location on occasion and usually only want it when its closed on Sundays, ( I am glad they are closed on Sundays more places should do that ) , They do have other options for breakfast besides chicken which is good. Wish you could get waffle fries at breakfast, I guess I never asked if you could but I would assume not. I went here for the first time with a friend, yes, I said the first time, because everyone was making such a big hoopala about how great Chick-fil-A is and gave it a try. I'm not a big fan of fast food but sometimes chicken is ok at a fast food place, not this place. I bought a 3 and 4 piece filet and a large mac and cheese..hey, it looked good on the commercial and I like mac and cheese..came to $17 and some change. When I got home and opened the boxes of chicken I was shocked at how small the pieces were..ok, whatever..tried a bite and was very disappointed. The chicken itself was ok..at least it wasn't dry..but the batter tasted awful. I was expecting a peppery, southern fried kind of taste..didn't happen. What I tasted was stale and a flavor I can't identify other then..stale..and that was it as far as flavor. The odd flavor of the batter was bad enough that I couldn't eat it, the mac and cheese was very dry but flaverful. However, unlike the commercial, there was ZERO creaminess..ANYHWERE. When I went to scoop it out of the container it came out in one big glop..all of it...no moisture and certainly no so called "crunchy top". Ended up tossing all of it, waste of $17..friend and I had cereal..was the much better choice. Will never go back or understand the big deal about this place. read more

The chicken sandwich is delicious, no doubt. A huge, plump, juicy REAL chicken breast (not pressed together like McDonalds and BK). If I had to complain, I'd say the wrapper they use causes the bun to become incredibly soggy if you aren't eating it immediately. Many times I ditch the bun and just eat the chicken. The coleslaw is also very good. Seems to be dressing based, not mayo based, which I prefer. Just the right amount of zip. This is where the good ends though. The waffle fries are a joke. I ordered a large, and the large container was filled about halfway. I'd like to say this was a one time thing, but its happened every time I've been there. Maybe they do it by weight? If so, get smaller boxes so the customer doesn't feel ripped off. When I ask for 4 chick-fil-a sauces, either put 4 in there, or explain to me that there will be an extra charge for them, or tell me you don't give out that many at all. Why on earth would you simply ignore the request, and put 1 in? Freaking annoying. I should be used to it with fast food, but I thought Chick-Fil-A service was supposed to be a cut above the other chain restaurants. Guess that's just a rumor. The drive thru is very fast, as others have said. If you see a line backed up all the out of the parking lot, thats probably no more than a 5-10 minute wait. The prices are also very friendly (but then again, maybe this is why they are cheaping it on the waffle fries and sauce). I'd say go for the chicken and skip the waffle fries.
