And it is becoming all too common for the staff to snap and yell about how busy they are (in an empty restaurant) when a customer dares to ask, "about how much longer?" They just yelled at me for this after I'd been there for 15 minutes, and at another in-store customer who was already waiting when I arrived. There are plenty of good chicken places in town with excellent service. I recommend you try one of those! (And if you DoorDash from here, don't worry. I immediately called the location and spoke to the manager. She told me I could drive back to have them remade. I explained that I wasn't going to spend another hour on the road for their mistake and simply asked for a refund. She replied that it was "not company policy" to issue refunds and instead offered for me to come back tomorrow to get the missing food. I told her I don't come to Mount Pleasant often and would not be able to come back tomorrow. She then offered to extend the remake for a week, and later even said she could ask her district manager to extend it for two weeks. None of this fixes the fact that I paid for two meals I did not receive. This is absolutely unacceptable. Refusing to refund customers when an order is incomplete is stealing. I paid for food and did not get it. Whataburger should do better.
