Lettuce that came on my sandwich
    Lorie S.

I want to love my local Chick-fil-A but I can't. They never get orders right and today's order was one of the worst: we ordered on the mobile app and picked it up in the store. We ordered 2 diet lemonades and they were both regular lemonade (lid buttons were not depressed and lemonade was very sweet). There were no straws that came with the drinks. My spicy grilled chicken sandwich had the wrong cheese, tomato (I asked for it without tomato), and my lettuce was old, an outer leaf, and slimy (picture below). It was kind of gross. We know we are taking a chance ordering at this Chick-fil-A but today was bad. Skip this Chick-fil-A. (If you're in the mood for fast food, our McDonalds has excellent service and fresh and hot food).

food debris and flies flying ...not acceptable !

Food was okay. the chicken on the Cobb salad was COLD. The restaurant used to be tidy ( 2023) , it was so dirty I got grossed out. Mr Manager , please get your crew to clean instead of talking with their hands in their pockets - this is not representative of the brand !! I work in Malvern and will not return.

    Spicy chicken deluxe meal

Our office is across the street so we stopped by when traveling for work. Our co-worker had free meals from the grand opening giveaway. Unfortunately, they only let you get a #1 with it and I really wanted to try the spicy chicken sandwich, so I paid for my own. I went with the spicy chicken deluxe meal. I didn't eat spicy food last time I was at a Chick-fil-A, so this was my first one. I loved it. My fries were great as well (with Chick-fil-A sauce of course). I was very impressed with the service here. They bring your food to the table. They come around and ask if you need anything else. It was crowded, but the service was awesome. This isn't normal for a fast food restaurant. It's a Chick-fil-A, so you know what you're getting food wise, but the service definitely stands out.

Dirty tables, flies, and unfriendly staff.

I usually eat at a Chick-fil-A almost five days a week for breakfast. Never again at this one. Floors were dirty, tables hadn't been wiped, and dining room had lots of flies. Manager was busy bs'ing with kitchen staff and failed to notice me standing at the counter for three minutes. Acted like I was a major intrusion into her day instead of THE REASON FOR HER JOB TO EXIST. Very unfriendly attitude. Steer clear and use the Warminster, Warrington, or Coatesville locations instead. Food is the same but at least the locations are clean, and inviting with upbeat atmosphere.

Frustrated that today I was charged for two Avocado Lime Ranch dressings when I only ordered 1 and did not receive a Sweet & Spicy Sriracha sauce as ordered. My name being spelled wrong even when spelling it out happens often here, but this mistake cost extra money and seems that workers are not paying attention. The meal is delicious!

Service - even tho there was a new cashier and she seemed like she is still learning due to calling for help from the trainer often...she was really trying hard....the service was still great. Service was certainly better than any Popeyes. Biscuit chicken sandwich - biscuit was hot, soft and fresh. Chicken was tender and hot. Hash browns - crispy, hot and fresh.

    Spicy Southwest Salad! Yum!

Overall, The Jockey is solidly average when it comes to food, service, and ambiance. Nothing outstanding, but nothing terrible either. Where The Jockey truly shines, though, is its Happy Hour value, which is easily the best in the area. Drinks are a great deal compared to nearby spots: half off all beers on tap, plus discounted house wine and cocktails. The Happy Hour appetizer selection is larger than most, and the quality is surprisingly good. Buck-a-shuck oysters! Only one variety, but for a dollar, you can't complain. Bonus points for offering Happy Hour on weekends, which is rare. If you're in the area during Happy Hour, it's absolutely worth stopping in.

True to my nature as a "prior proper planner," I already had an appointment scheduled in West Chester, so I headed down to get the repairs underway. While I waited, I decided to find some local eats. A quick Google search led me to The Jockey just outside of Philadelphia. The reviews mentioned it was a family-owned joint, and the decor looked incredibly inviting. The aesthetic actually reminded me of The Polo Bar in NYC; it has that same sophisticated, equestrian charm. Personally, I love horses--I know all the horses in the world, and they know me--and I know the horses. so I was eager to check it out. My mother picked me up from the dealership, and we "galloped" our way down to the restaurant. The Food I was surprised to find the place packed at 12:30 PM on a Tuesday, but I assumed we had just hit the peak lunch rush. We started with the calamari, my mother ordered a sandwich, and I opted for the salmon with drunken noodles. Honestly, I think the chef in the back was more "drunk" than the noodles. * The Salmon: It arrived super crisp and borderline burnt. * The Calamari: Overcooked, greasy, and wet--it felt like it hadn't seen a strainer or a paper towel since leaving the fryer. * The Sauce: The marinara was watery, almost as if the back-of-house was running low and decided to stretch it with water. The Verdict The only saving grace was the aesthetic. The decor is lovely, and they have a very inviting event space in the basement. However, you can't eat the wallpaper. * Food: 2/5 (A hard pass on the kitchen's execution.) * Service: 3/5 (The staff never checked on us while we were eating.) * Location/Convenience: 4/5 (Close to everything in a great area.) I likely won't be visiting this place again. I'm genuinely surprised this is a local favorite in such an upscale area--perhaps the locals just haven't ventured out enough to know what they're missing.

It was beautifully plated and the waffles had a wonderful brown sugar crunchy exterior and crisp, delicious interior. On Monday, I had to back and get my debit card- Apparently I dropped it in the parking lot and someone found it and returned it. I got such a polite call to tell me, I decided to pick up some more food to eat at home. I got delicious onion soup, packaged thoughtfully, mozzarella and tomato salad- very fresh and it came with balsamic and oil and toasted bread to make bruschetta. I also got a half portion of the Tavern Nachos that I haven't tried yet- the chips look homemade and toasted. Don't hesitate! Go!

We arrived and were quickly seated on the porch at our request. We were there 'before 4', so the evening menu was not yet available. But, there were plenty of great options on the lunch menu. We shared the Wild Mushroom Bisque, which was delicious. This was followed by a Caesar salad, also very good. Our main course choices were the Salmon BLT sandwich (messy, but delicious), and the Shaved Prime Rib sandwich. Our server was attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant, if you are in the area.
