really? gave me chicken nuggets instead of minis. that honestly upset me as I was already having a rough day.

    Drive thru fun!

Yay! There is a Chick-fil-A in north Brunswick County! Currently the drive-thru is the only option during the COVID crisis. It moves predictably slowly, even with two lines and helpful masked employees taking orders at car windows. And this was at 10:30 AM, so I can only imagine what the lines are like during more "normal" lunch hours. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely. One of the things I love about Chick-fil-A is its consistency. Wherever you go, you get good product. Love those waffle fries! And they mix a mean Arnold Palmer to boot.

From the menu. This is what I expect

Usually no issues with chick fil a orders or food quality but this is my pet peeve. If I pay the up charge for a large fries I expect a large fries. Fries not hot also. Maybe just this location?? You always get screwed at the drive thru

I love their food and redeeming points for free food. When everyone shut down at 9 pm during COVID, they stayed open until 10 pm. Staff is always friendly and service is usually fast. Our order is always correct also. Thank you for staying open a little extra late & coming to Leland!!

This is the worst chick-fil-a I've ever been to. The drive threw is atrocious and the service is no where near the level of other fil-a's in the area. I ordered 2 milkshakes. They were delivered 3/4 full and without the requested cherry. I filled out the survey and requested to be contacted and of course never was.

After a long day at both of my jobs I stopped in to get some food and they greeted us so warmly. The place is so clean! And even when we were eating multiple employees came up to us to make sure we were taken care of. Asked if we needed refills and then bussed our table. Chick fil a is my favorite fast food place by far and this location was amaZing! 10/10 recommend

Smoky Chicken That Needs No Sauce!…read more We popped into Papi's Peruvian Chicken on a Sunday, hoping to beat the church crowd, but it turns out, the real blessing was waiting inside. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, my buddy leaned over and said, "Man, someone's smoking something and it smells delicious." When we stepped inside, his grin got even bigger as he turned to me and said, "It's this place, great choice!" We both went for the smoked dark quarter with street corn salad. My buddy chose green beans, and I went with the Inca pork beans. I asked the woman at the counter to recommend a sauce, and she took the time to explain each one, patiently answering all my basic questions. It turns out, the chicken didn't need any sauce at all. It was smoky, moist, and packed with flavor--crispy on the outside with a deep, wood-fired taste that lingered with every bite. The Inca pork beans were hearty and full of flavor, a solid sidekick to the main event. The street corn salad, while fresh, could have used a bit more kick--maybe a sprinkle of cheese or a dash of lime to brighten it up. The interior's industrial strip mall vibe is functional but could benefit from a few authentic touches--like Peruvian art or music--to match the rich flavors coming out of the kitchen. If you're craving smoky, fall-off-the-bone chicken, Papi's Peruvian Chicken is worth the trip. I'll definitely be back to try more!

This restaurant isn't in the best part of town which I knew from reading comments online and I know the area well. I purposely just told my wife I was taking her to a secrete fried chicken place but when we pulled up she refused to park. From the outside it appears to be a run down fast food shop. Anyway I went by here today solo while on lunch. I work downtown and it's often hard to find a cheap and quick lunch spot that's not over crowded with people trying to do the same. Despite the location and physical appearance the restaurant was very crowded. I ordered a four-piece wing combo with fries at 1:30. The gentleman who took my order told me it would be 15 minutes. There weren't any open seats so I went to wait in my truck. After 15 minutes I went back inside and still waited another 15 minutes before my order was ready. This is clearly a community and family restaurant. While I waited I got a chance to check out all the baby pictures on the wall and socialize with all the other families waiting on their order. Overall I enjoyed my fried chicken but I don't understand what the hype was about. Yes it's super cheap. My order was $5 including tax but the wings were small and barely had any meat on them. I will be back but next time I will order a breast or thigh and not come during peak lunch hour.

I was not in love but I think there are some caveats there because I am not the typical customer. First, we appear to have come right at the height of their dinner rush. It took a while to get seated. The hosts told us to sit at the bar and then the bartender kicked us out of our stools because we were waiting for a table and apparently the bar stools were only for people who were eating, so we had to go find a bench. When we did get seated they put us at a really weird high top in a separate room when there was a much nicer low top available in the main room that we switched to. I got the sense both that this place was kind of hectic and that they didn't think they needed our service. But then as we were eating it cleared out all of a sudden and we were the only people left at like...8 pm. Our server was...accetptable. Not rude, but kind of short. Compared to the lovely personable service we got at other places in Wilmington it felt...I dunno, New Yorky? Then there was the food. And here comes my biggest caveat. I am pescstarian and do not eat chicken. So I ordered a shrimp po boy. It was not good. Not bad. But not good. Especially for the price which, honestly, competed with the prices where I live in DC. Every other person around me ordered chicken. My husband ordered chicken. He really liked his chicken. So obviously, this is a place where you get chicken (if the name didn't make it obvious). Had I ordered chicken I likely would have enjoyed my meal a lot more. But if you have shrimp po boys on the menu, endeavor to make them decent or take them off. Also I subbed a side cesar instead of fries and it was an afterthought. The fries themselves were excellent. If I ate chicken and came back to Wilmington I would maybe give this place another shot but as it stands, nah.
