Talk about good fortune! I was flying through Nashville, International Airport and happened to land…read morearound lunchtime. And what do you know my connecting flight gate was right across the walkway from Hattie B's! Every time I go to Nashville, I try to try out a different hot chicken spot, but obviously in the airport you only have two choices which I believe are Hattie bees and princes, but I could be wrong. That being said, this is a excellent option if you are passing through the Nashville airport if you've never tried Nashville hot chicken that is the only reason to stop but if you like really good chicken with your choice of heat and flavor. This is definitely a spot. They also serve frozen lemonade and Coke even though the frozen lemonade machine was out of order the day I visited. What a bummer. I ended up getting the Koch but didn't realize that they weren't going to give me a lid so I ultimately had to scarf it down and endure some brain freeze before I boarded my flight. That being said, I definitely would try this spot out again in the future.

However, they were very short-staffed that day, and it took more than 30 minutes to get our food. We only got it after informing them that our flight was about to board in 10 minutes; it would have likely taken longer otherwise. They also didn't warn customers about the situation when ordering. This is unacceptable for an airport restaurant.

Finding the location and parking was a breeze. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by a lovely young lady with the warmest Southern drawl. I didn't feel rushed or pressured to order, so I decided to sit down and enjoy my meal. Now, THIS is where the experience really stood out. The conversations with the staff were so natural and welcoming that I genuinely felt like I was visiting family. And guess what? Granddaddy himself came out of the kitchen, where he was cooking, just to sit and chat with me! We had a REAL conversation. He told me about his career, his retirement, and even pulled out his phone to show me pictures of his family. No scripted customer service, no forced small talk. Just genuine Southern hospitality. I absolutely LOVED that! Now, let's get into this FOOD! I ordered 12 wings, half mild and half hot, with a side of collard greens. Everything came out piping hot, fresh, and FULL of flavor. The portions were generous, too. I couldn't finish it all and had to get a to-go box. The food was delicious, but the hospitality is what really made this visit memorable. It's not every day you walk into a restaurant as a complete stranger and leave feeling like family. If you're in the area, PLEASE give this place a visit. Great food, authentic conversations, and Southern hospitality at its finest. 10/10! I'll absolutely be back!

There's only 3 parking spaces, one of them being handicap. If those are taken, you have to either park at the gas station or make a spot, which may cause you to be in the way of the mechanic shop. When I entered the establishment, there were a few ppl already waiting & the workers in the back were busy. One of the workers took a break from fixing plates to get my order & told me it would be a bit of a wait. I opted to get the 3 whole wings & catfish combo for $11.99, which came with fries, two slices of bread, & a drink. The options for drinks were either a can soda or a kool-aid for an extra $1. I got the orange kool-aid & also added onion and pickles to my plate , which brought my total to $16. I may have waited about 20-30 minutes for my food, but it was piping hot & smelled delicious. For my condiments, I got ketchup, hot sauce, tartar, & honey hot sauce. The chicken was okay. It wasn't the absolute best I've ever had, but it was definitely pretty decent compared to other restaurants. The catfish was the star of the show!! It was a nice size filet & seasoned to perfection! The hot sauce & tartar wasn't even needed, but it made it taste even better. The kool-aid was pretty good too- not too sweet either! The fries were my least favorite. Overall, I'd visit again. Even if it's not for the chicken, I'd definitely get a fish sandwich & kool-aid!!

And Hattie B's is definitely a touristy place inside and outside the airport, and while the chicken is pretty good, the prices are high and for some reason I don't get my airport discount. So one day I had gotten off at gate number 4 and walked by Princes Hot Chicken. They didn't have any customers, but they did have their food on display so you can see what you were ordering. I ended up getting their medium spice fried chicken tenders with macaroni and cheese on the side, and let me tell you: I should've been eating here the whole time! On my second visit I got their chicken tenders again with the mac & cheese, and I ate it all in one sitting. And the other day my friend was at the airport and I recommended getting it as well. Got the 4 tenders Medium with a side of Collard Greens. Greens had a funny aftertaste that I'm not used to, not good or bad, just different. Very flavorful even if I can't pinpoint what the flavor is. Strips were nice and had good breading, very greasy. Made my wife kinda sick, really flared up her gastritis. Kinda forgettable heat wise especially for medium.
