It was just ok- they took over the old Dairy King building and it's basically the same inside - ample seating , some ok decor but not a feeling of warmth. We stopped in for a quick meat and three lunch and no customers were there at 12:45, does that say something? The guy working the counter was fairly nice - but the food was just ok. I had a pretty good Salisbury steak , blah rice and very blah broccoli cheese casserole- hardly any broccoli or taste to it and I could not eat it. Husband got the bbq chicken and liked it. This place is truly Sensational! They had me at catfish on Wednesdays! It was one of the BEST servings of catfish I've had. Piping hot (made to order) and SOooo tasty! The veggies are also terrific. The cabbage and cornbread cakes are my favorite but all their food is well seasoned. Different days have different side and meat options. If you visit during the week from 11-1p you'll likely find yourself in a lengthy line with the locals. Parking is free which is rare in Nashville. This was the WORST restaurant experience I've ever had. I ordered the chicken dressing--it was way too salty. They gave me meatloaf instead, which was cold! When I asked for a refund, the employee told me I wasn't getting one and said he'd just microwave the food instead. I asked for the manager's contact information, and he refused to give it to me. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful. I'll be reporting this place to the health department. Save yourself the trouble--do NOT eat here! read more

I came here looking for a barbecue place. Instead, I was treated to a delightful amount of meat choices with plenty of sides to compliment my meat! The place is called meat and three because you choose one main meat dish and then three choices of sides, where one can be a corn or garlic bread, depending on availability. Every day, the menu changes, so look at what's available depending on the day. There are some mainstays like fried chicken or mash potatoes. Tonight, I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Ramzy. He walked by me and recommended I get the meatloaf. I told him I was eyeing the pork chops with potatoes and carrots and he said I couldn't go wrong with that either. I made my choice and I was not disappointed. As a side, I ended up getting the mash potatoes and macaroni. It was very very good. The pork chops were very tender and savory. The mash with gravy was plentiful and complimented the macaroni very well. I had a plate to go, so I didn't get a drink. I order two plates of a eat and 3 veggies and we loved all of it. The flavor was wonderful. We had chicken and dressing, delicious with turnip green,mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and brown gravy. We ordered a second plate with same meat but green beans, mac and cheese and turnip greens and my neiced loved it. They also had whole pie's for 18.?? and a bought the pecan for my home and gave a friend the chocolate fudge pie who love it, just as we loved the pecan. My husband and I have ordered from this restaurant several times. The meat portions are more than adequate. I love the barbecue chicken that is not overly drowned in sauce. Since I started going to Ramzy's I can't seem to stop, and have become a regular. All of the food is delicious! Even the green beans that are canned (not fresh), but how they prepare it, it is divine! The cabbage is one of my favorites, but some days can be a little too spicy for some people - not me! The meatloaf, chicken lasagna (when they have it), and fried catfish are insanely delicious. And to top it all off, I have tried like 6 desserts so far, and they are all wonderful! (I say this as someone that usually doesn't eat dessert after a meal.) Every time I eat a piece of cake there, it's completely moist, and perfectly sweet! This place has the best chess pie I've ever eaten, and their dessert portions are good (not too big or too small). Every experience will not be a good experience. You work in customer service so you should know that. You cannot have an attitude with me because you overcharged me and stole over $248 which you did not apologize for nor offer to reimburse me for. I came in there on a positive bigger person note. I sure did post on social media and yelp. As a business owner myself, any feedback is improvement and if an error was made, it needs to be corrected and not taken personally. You younger folks think people are attacking your business. You stole my money, and it is not an attack on your business but you. Take accountability and ownership of your actions, being disrespectful towards someone else's mom will get you hurt, and my sons do not play about men being disrespectful towards me, their mom. You took your actions out on a customer who first time being in your business, and she was so uncomfortable that she will never come back to your business.
