EVERYTIME a super blonde guy employee helps either take my order or take payment even before covid he has messed it up EVERYTIME. I always get a spicy chicken salad ranch and extra toppings not really that hard. But with him I get a strawberry salad or no topping but what goes on a totally different salad. Even when I would go back for my correct food like when I got a strawberry salad and not what I asked for he runs away and doesn't say anything while every one else apologizes and helps me out. Chick-Fil-A Gainesville is a great place to get a bite to eat. I say this, simply based upon the fact that one of the managers sorta looks like Dave Grohl. If he reads this he'll know who I am. I'm the guy that said, "Dude!! ... You totally look like Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters!" and got a chuckle out of the entire staff before getting my food. The place is run like a fine-tuned machine of yummy chicken distribution. Oh and another thing, the staff there are some of the happiest people in Gainesville VA. In general, a good Chik Fil a, then again how many really terrible ones even exist? My only complaint is that I've gone here multiple times to grab lunch with my fluffy golden retriever in the backseat and 2 of the times I had to deal with this girl SHRIEKING, dropping my food and running off behind the window somewhere and another person had to then pick up my food off the counter and hand it to me because she can't get it together enough to hand me my food. Are you kidding me? I understand you have a fear of dogs, fine. But if you are in a drive thru window where people may bring their dogs in the back seat, at least try to keep yourself composed enough to give me my damn food before you have a meltdown. Stopped at the drive thru on a Monday morning. Didn't start out so well as the employee working the window started to hand us someone else's order. After that, we got our order and I received a burnt to a crisp bagel for my chicken egg and cheese bagel. The staff is always happy and friendly and very pro-active with customers. Visiting you at your table offering to throw away trash or refill an empty drink are small things; but these little details add up. I finally left my house at 4pm on a Monday, dragging my feet, weak from morning sickness all day. I needed some chick fil a lemonade! I drive to this chick fil a, so excited. But.... I forgot my purse. My toddler and I went in anyway to see if they accepted Apple Pay, they do! I've always had my husbands card on my phone for emergencies. I've never used it and they taught me how. I scanned it to pay and it didn't work. So embarrassing. They said they would take care of it. Little did they know how much this meant. So many emotions. Thank you so much. I've never had a bad experience at Chick-Fil-A. I've tried virtually everything on the menu and I've decided the perfect meal is the Original Chicken Sandwich and Fries with the Chick-Fil-A sauce (simply just BBQ sauce mixed with honey mustard) and their Cookies and Cream milkshake...and then there's the Peppermint Chocolate Chip milkshake around the holidays! The staff is always so happy and they kill themselves to serve you efficiently and kindly. It's always busy, but I never seem to end up waiting very long. The only downfall is that it's closed Sunday, and that always seems to be the day that I crave it most! =) read more

Great food, poor management and disrespectful treatment makes for a bad experience. There is always a line at this location, but unlike most, they seem to think that the customer's time is not valuable Several weeks ago I was here, and after waiting in a long line and getting to the cashier, had a manager tell the cashier he needed access to the register preventing me from placing my order. He had some sort of clerical thing to do, and thought nothing about me standing there waiting for him to do whatever was more important than my business. When I asked to see the store manager (this was an assistant) his only response was he would take my order now. I walked out rather than reward disrespect. After a call to the corporate office, I was assured that this would not happen again. Today I (against my better judgement) decided to stop at this location again. Again there was a long line, and the place appeared to be disorganized I stood in line and when I was the next customer to be served, the cashier who had just finished taking another customers order looked at me, and walked away from her register. She started restocking cups, making several trips to the back. The cashier who finally took my order was good, but when I asked to the manager, and told him that this was the second and last time that I would darken their doorway, he tried to tell me how wonderful the clerks were, and how they were "good people" The problem at this location is the manager. He does not put customer service first, and he wanted to argue with me about the way I was treated. . I love Chic-Fil-A, and will go out of my way to visit one, but I would not go back here if they were giving free food and $100 bills away. read more

This location is a particularly exceptional chick-fil-a. The staff here is always smiling and happy to help you. They have the drive thru down to a science and this location needs it too because it gets slammed. At most lunchtimes the line of cars goes around the building, but it only takes a couple of minutes to get your order. Despite how awesome their chicken sandwich and waffle fries are I have gotten very close with the cobb salad lately. It's really a great quality salad and there's never any nasty wilted pieces, and I'm a bit of a lettuce snob. But from what I've found you really can't go wrong with any of the food at chick-fil-a. read more

I've given up on this bunch of bumbling people. Last Thursday night my phone started dinging as I got note 1 but 3 emails from the owner of this Chick-fil-a about their Friday breakfast (and dinner) giveaway. So I decided to go there for breakfast on Friday. I ordered through the app 4 count mini meal as the free gift was 4 count minis--not what I usually eat but 4 of them is not enough for me. I get through the drive thru and find out that they didn't give me my free minis. I went back through after checking the email date that was valid for Friday. "Ali" told me that the email for "6:15am" giveaway was for Gainesville and the Haymarket giveway started at "7am". She proceeded to tell me I could make another order to get the free minis. Several problems here. Two of the biggest are 1) My order according to my app was for 6:55am . . . so after 42,000 lifetime RedCard Chick-fil-a membership points . . . I am told I have to make yet another order to get 4 chickminis that they are GIVING away . . . over 5 minutes and 2) I wouldn't have ordered this if I had known as it is not what I normally would eat. So they messed up my breakfast over their crazy email campaign. I contacted them by phone as it offended me and asked to speak to the owner. They said he would call me. Never did. So I called their headquarters in Atlanta. The lady was super nice. Looked up my membership via number. Said she would have him call me as she claimed "Chick-fil-a cares . . . ". Still haven't heard a word. These people had a huge corporation behind them and survived the world wide pandemic--stayed open and people stayed employed--while many many other businesses shut down probably forever. And they did it by customers much like myself. Offending your mot frequent supporters is not a good way to stay in that position. I will definitely think twice before I ever go back to that restaurant. read more
