We walked up to the register to order & surprise! instead of the typical grouch we were greeted by Amber & she was friendly! She took our order & smiled the entire time. She didn't even grimace when I asked for a cup of water. (I'm not a soda fan) We got our food so quickly! It was hot & fresh! When I bit into my burger the cheese was so gooey & the mushrooms were cooked to perfection... that truffle oil... oh my... Those smash tots were so good. I could NOT stop eating them & I was full.... We got Diet Coke & water. I love water. When I ran out, I asked Christian if I could have more & he was super sweet! He smiled the biggest smile & said "of course!". I thought... WHAT? 2 super sweet people?!?! While we were eating, I have to also mention Jonathan (I asked his name) was cleaning tables & sweeping. He was so considerate. He could've sprayed the table next to us & possibly sprayed us bc the tables were so close together but he skipped that table. It didn't go unnoticed bc our luggage & backpacks were between the tables. He was very thoughtful! One frustrating issue was the table. It looked normal, but it was extremely wobbly. A small movement caused my drink to tip over and spill, and I had to get a refill. Based on how unstable the table was, it seems unlikely that I was the first customer to encounter the problem. Overall, Whataburger was okay. Now, airport restaurants have a lot of problems. I think the most common problem is that the food is cold. And the next most common problem is that it takes a long time. While I will admit that the food here does often take a long time to come out. It is always hot and fresh. So I think it's a pretty good trade off. That being said, it does take quite a while sometimes. Which is why this is a four star not a five star. But if you're looking for a burger in the Dallas-Fort Worth airport, would definitely recommend shake shack.

Considering this was an airport location, where travelers are often tired, hungry, and short on patience, a little more attention to cleanliness and customer service would go a long way.
