Saddest filet of my life. Ordered two filets one came in normal the other one was a scam. It costed $7 for this tiny thing.

Hashbrown scramble burrito with side of hash brown medallions.

My favourite thing to get is the hash brown scramble breakfast burrito. They put a generous amount of fluffy eggs and chicken nuggets inside. They provide 2 packets of salsa but I enjoy the burrito without it. The meal comes with a side of hash brown medallions which is a bit bland. I usually choose Orange juice for the drink but they charge extra for that. When I order thru the app, it's usually a smooth process and I can go right thru the drive thru and get my order. However there was a time when they gave me the wrong order and they told me to park and they will bring my order out while they prepare it. Always check the bag to make sure you get your food before driving away!

Thanks Chick Fil A for the wrong order! I ordered a 4 count of chicken strips and you decided to give me a 4 count of minis? Hello I did not even say minis? It is very clear that it is the wrong order number yet you give me minis when I expect tenders. Incredibly disappointed and will not be returning to this location ever again. To the workers you need to check the orders properly. Team member Isabel, what happened. Very aggravating to see this happen. Do not bother to go to this location because clearly they don't train their staff members. Order 4047 looks like 4035 now huh? Crazy!

Can't see it, but bottom bun was soggy to the touch and fell a part

A bit annoying--- ordered in drive thru, then did payment. Got to window and was told it didn't go through. Redid payment and was told to go park and wait. Eventually my food came out. Staff were nice and as efficient as they could be. I guess my complaint was their payment system and the quality of food that day. The buns were literally falling a part/soggy to the touch. Chicken patty was extremely salty and has an odd aftertaste, like old lemon taste. I can't fully explain, but not what I usually taste from other locations. Portion of lettuce was brown (I took it out). Fries were good. Most likely won't be back here.

I was *so* close to giving 5 stars to this Chick-fil-A, an unprecedented maneuver from yours truly especially considering how rigid my standards may be perceived from the outside looking in, but such stringency on a few aspects was grounds enough to warrant a one star deduction. I had two rewards on my account: One from the LA Angels baseball promo, and the other from the Code Moo promo. For as long as I've been a customer of Chick-fil-A, I didn't even know multiple rewards could be redeemed in one transaction until the cashier, Alejandro, pointed it out to me, and it would have taken a special kind of attentiveness to even notice in the first place. This Chick-fil-A is in Costa Mesa on the southwest corner of Gisler and Harbor. It's literally right off the 405 that you can hop off and on without having to stray too far from the freeway. Even if you want fast food not named Chick-fil-A, there's also In N Out, Raising Cane's, McDonald's, and even El Pollo Loco in the vicinity. Also IHOP, Sonic Drive-In, and a Dave's Hot Chicken a little further south. There is plenty of parking around Chick-fil-A, and there's even a clearly defined drive-thru that shouldn't be interruptive to the flow of traffic around the lot. I parked in between Chick-fil-A and Seiwa Market before going inside to claim my free chicken sandwich courtesy of Angels baseball. It took a couple of minutes before Alejandro was ready to take my order. I had my phone out ready to redeem my sando reward, but he noticed I also had the Code Moo reward of a free brownie. He asked if I'd like to redeem both, which had surprised me because I thought only one reward could have been redeemed at a time. Nope, turns out I could redeem both in one transaction, so I figured why not?! I was originally planning to redeem the chicken sandwich reward that day and save the Code Moo reward for later, so I was totally unprepared for this. I thought I would have had to scan two different QR codes to redeem both rewards, but nope, one QR code sufficed, and Alejandro made sure both rewards would be accounted for on this visit. His attentiveness really impressed me because I'm not sure how many other cashiers would have even noticed I had multiple rewards on my phone! However, he faltered when I asked him about the sauce that resembles Chick-fil-A sauce, but comes in regular sauce packets. He pointed towards the list of sauces on top of the drink dispenser, but I immediately knew those were the sauces that traditionally come in the rectangular tubs. I had to explain again, and then he got my drift of Honey Roasted BBQ. That was really his only blemish at ringing me up. After getting my receipt, I noticed that my name didn't appear on it, so I almost thought the QR code didn't get scanned and that my name wouldn't be called. It only took a couple of minutes before I heard my name for takeout. During those couple of minutes, I saw a community board that advertised the Code Moo game, and on the bottom were the words "Rocky Road". I legit thought it meant Rocky Road ice cream, but when I asked an employee about it, he said it was in reference to a movie (or moo-vie) that can be viewed in the app. And here I was, thinking that all customers would be treated to some Rocky Road Ice Cream during this SoCal heat wave lol. After getting my takeout bag, I momentarily left the restaurant. I say momentarily because I realized I had forgotten to ask for a water cup! I asked that same employee from the previous paragraph, and he said I could go back to the counter to ask for one. I was hoping he'd actually go fetch one for me, but no biggie. I just asked another employee at the counter for a water cup, which was quite large in size compared to other water cups at other locations. The brownie was alright. Nothing too special about it. However, I think they had actually given me the Spicy Chicken Sandwich instead! Usually, the complimentary sando is the original, so this was a real nice change for once! I would have enjoyed it much more had the Honey Roasted BBQ sauce packets had corrugated rather than straight edges. Without a pair of scissors, I had no choice but to eat the sando as is; I did not want to go back inside to ask for a school supply lol. The spicy sandwich was much better than the original, though I've definitely had my fair share of the original. However, it would have been even better had I been able to open either of the Honey Roasted BBQ packets. This Chick-fil-A has been advertising Code Moo much harder than my usual location in Lakewood. I can tell because the wall is adorned with plenty of cute cow decor, including the characters from the Rocky Road movie in the form of small, but cute figurines. They're really doing everything they can to extinguish Circus Burger lol. Overall, a good solid Chick-fil-A to go to, especially on a road trip up or down the 405. If I lived in Costa Mesa, this would almost certainly be my go to for chicken sandwiches!

    Fry with hair :(

Waited 20 minutes on my lunch for a sandwhich and fries, my milkshake got made first and I got to watch it sit and melt on their food counter for 20 minutes. Yikes. Hey also there's hair in my fries so...double yikes.

    My recent order.

I genuinely don't think it's possible to find a friendlier, more welcoming staff. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with real smiles, real gratitude, and a level of care that's honestly rare these days. You can tell they take pride not just in their food, but in every single customer experience. Now here's what really sealed the deal for me. Not too long ago, I placed a to-go order for their half chicken with sides, but when I got home, it turned out to be one of their chicken wraps instead. And to be completely honest -- not even mad. Everything on their menu is so good that it was more of a surprise than a disappointment. Next time I came in, I casually mentioned it to Fred (the owner) while placing my order -- no complaints, no frustration, just a quick heads up. He immediately apologized, which honestly wasn't even necessary. Stuff happens, and when the food is that consistently good, it's hard to care. But here's the part that really speaks volumes: when I went to pay, Fred wouldn't let me. Insisted the meal was on the house. No hesitation. No questions. Just genuine ownership and appreciation. That kind of integrity and customer care is hard to come by. At the end of the day, this is a 5-star establishment with 10-star people behind it. The food is consistently incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the experience is one you'll want to come back to again and again. I'll absolutely be returning -- not just because I know the food will hit every time, but because I know the experience will exceed expectations every single visit.

The firebird bowl came with fried chicken thighs, crispy onions, pickled onions, lettuce, and quinoa. Chicken was delicious, and the salad paired with it made it well-balanced. Power bowl had chicken al pastor, boiled egg, avocado, pickled onions, and quinoa. I'd say the power bowl felt the most health-focused one. Def would recommend! The place itself has a pretty cool dining space, that's almost like a brewery vibe. You order at the front counter, and they'll give you a number and bring your food out to you. There's also a giant bar, a happy hour, and plenty of large TVs to catch the game. The place is so big, that you'd probably be able to bring a bunch of your friends and hangout.

Crispy chicken sandwich = dope, no notes. We also grabbed chicken tenders that first time and got... sad nuggets instead. Not the end of the world, so we rolled back after she dropped $200 on gift cards. This visit: Firebird again, Cob salad, and we made sure to get the _actual_ spicy chicken tenders. Place is huge for a crispy chicken spot. Two levels, 40-ft bar with beer/spirits, TVs, bar stools, and dog-friendly with pics of pups on the wall. Order outside, grab a number, find a seat. Very cool vibe. 10 mins later food hits. Firebird still looks like fire. Cob salad was on point -- avocado, egg, mixed greens, chard corn, pickled onions, crispy quinoa, tomatoes. Solid. Now the tenders. I know they weren't nuggets this time -- they were longer, thinner... and tasted like something I'd pull from 7-Eleven. Even then, 7-Eleven would get side-eyed. Disappointed is an understatement. Advice: skip the tenders unless you've got kids to feed. Last complaint isn't food -- it's the app. I bought $200 in gift cards but waited too long to claim reward points, emailed them, and got ghosted. That's the second bad taste in one visit. Mr. Crack, if you're reading: hit my email so I can update this to 10/10 and praise your customer service. You've got the food and vibe locked. Fix the tenders and the support, and you're untouchable. 8.2/10 -- you know what to work on.
