Chick-fil-A is a love hate relationship for me. I love their chicken sandwiches, I love even more their delicious sauces and their waffle fries, but I dislike the forgetfulness of the staff. The spicy chicken sandwich deluxe is the one I usually order, and it's simple but super delicious, I like to order chick fila sauce on the side for it and the honey toasted bbq, and usually they forget one or the other or both, it's almost certain to happen unless I open up the package , hold up the line and dig through my bag hunting for it. The waffle fries are a medium firmness which is not bad, you can't order them extra crispy which sucks but the flavor of real potato is there like no other fast food restaurants fries in New Mexico. So good job on that. Their salads are really good too. I happen to love the southwest salad, I've tried it with different dressings and it's honestly good with many pairings. My favorite sauces there are the zesty buffalo which is a bit creamier and less pungent than most buffalo which I like, as well as the chick fila sauce (my favorite), and the honey roasted bbq (my second favorite). The lines are very long in prime dinner time when people just get off work. The key is to come before or after that time to avoid long wait times. This has to be the worst chik-fil-a in ABQ. They consistently can't get the orders right. Order filled nugs, get regular. Order regular, get grilled. Forget about ordering a side by itself. They will always forget. Milkshake and ice cream machine is always down. Who manages (or doesn't manage) this place. Corporate needs to get control of this store. Also they are so rude when they bring food to your table. Asked for ketchup and they just point to where it is. Chik-fil-a need to re-train the employees here. And replace the manager. The food is normal, though they sometimes lapse in quality and service. What's the most disappointing is that the manager does not enforce the age and height policy for the play area. We were there and large kids were bullying the younger children, imposing "rules" and telling kids they couldn't play. My wife literally had to go in there and reprimand these children whose parents thought it was appropriate behavior. But she shouldn't have had to do this. The employees were quickly taking orders and taking payment. Disappointed they couldn't take my gift card right away. However, I was able to use it when I got to the pick up window. It's 1153, so core lunch time hours and I had to return my number one sandwich bc it was so dry it was peeling as I tried to bite it apart. The fries were cold, dry and overly salted like they had been in the burner for 15 mins. The only saving grace were the employees being nice. Major disappointment as I was trying to find a place to relax with my 16 month old on daddy day care today. I worked at a chick fil a for 5 years, so I know the employees are making the food too far in advance and letting it sit on rack. I can't get over what great service they provide. With the Coronavirus in full swing, their employees have still been cautious, extremely courteous, fast, patient and professional. We got all the sauces we asked for and wet wipes too. The people at this location are so great, always friendly, polite and kind. This location is very busy so you need to allow for that.
