Retry disappointed they would make my sandwich with the most hardest and oldest of breads! It was so hard it was nearly impossible to smoosh. In fact it was like a crouton. Not cool. I tapped on it with my nail and it sounds like a woodpecker pecking on wood. While this is not our favorite OG location in West Long Branch, NJ, this is our favorite location in ABQ. Located on the Westside off of Coors and Irving, I am not exactly a fan of the parking lot and entry to this location. It is always a cluster and difficult to navigate. However, the sandwiches are freshly made with the typical JM standards. it seemed like this location was short staffed, with only 3 team members when we visited but they were all working hard and there wasn't too long of a wait. The wait at their other location on Paseo and San Pedro is always WAYYYYY too long. I have good sandwiches coming out of that location however waiting 30 minutes for service is always a negative at a quick service cafe. read more

I got a text message today saying that they were offering triple stars. I stopped in to get a sandwich since I was in the area. The employees were all friendly. The kid making my sandwich Seemed to be a newer employee and was a bit slower at making it. The important thing. Is that he did a good job. The sandwich was made perfect. Tyree Was working the register and ringing me up. He was friendly and efficient. He recommended a hot sub that I have not tried yet. Hopefully I'll get to try it in the future. I've gotten subs at other locations, and this was the first time at this spot. The counter area where lettuce, onions, and tomatoes were located was disgustingly filthy. This was my first time at Jersey Mike's. We went to the one on Coors by Hwy 40. After all the rave about their sandwiches, I was so disappointed. First and foremost, we walked into the restaurant and it was freezing cold. Secondly there were 4 to 7 young men there working. Customer service was zero, the person who asked us what we wanted did not get the order at all, but we ate the sandwiches anyway outside on benches in the cold, although warmer than inside lol. I've never been to this place and when I was ordering my sandwiches, the young gentleman that was working there was looking at me like I was unwelcome, when I was ordering the young man looked at me like NEXT and rolled his eyes. He Went to the back and gave me stale Bread. I don't think I will be returning to this location or any others definitely put a bad taste in my mouth.. This is my favorite sandwich place over all the sandwich chains. I go to this location because its in the middle of where I run my errands in between BofA and Fedex. There are lots of parking spaces and there is seating outside if you like the sun. I have been their rewards member since I used to live in California. You should sign up for their rewards if you are a regular because you get a free Regular Sandwich til you hit a certain amount of points. I usually order their Regular Tuna MiKes Way with the Red Cherry Pepper relish. Its so damn good! Today, we ordered a Giant Turkey & Swiss. They cut it into 4 sections. I have been going to this location for awhile and never had an issue. Today they had 2 female workers there which is new cause it usually just men. I thought yay! Some help, jeez was I wrong. 1 lady seemed as if she worked at a jersey mikes for awhile but not this location; another a trainee. The trainee was slow, struggled cutting the sandwiches and even wrapping them. We order 4 sandwiches of course mine she struggles with the most. Cutting with shaky hands tossing around the top sandwich, all the fillings all over the place. Finally wrapped it then the lead lady tells her you need to wrap it again, so they take it apart and my sandwich cracks in half and the filling everywhere. My first words was " I didn't know I order a salad ???" Clearly I was frustrated. I get she was a trainee but your suppose to step in when she doesn't know, not let her keeping sinking, be the team leading and make sure the customer is okay with what " the trainee" is doing. Not only was there sandwiches pile up from other orders but you just watch her! Come on now!!! Team leader step up, show how it's done not let her mess up sandwiches, SANDWICHES this isn't that hard. Great Hoagies!! The meat is cut fresh in front of you, and they have a great menu to choose from! They have an awesome oil sauce that they add to the hoagies. I had the Original Italian! It was packed when we went there, and they have seating outside. It isn't too big so with it being so busy it was very loud! The outside seating was great! We had a stroller with us and it was a little hard maneuvering around with it being so busy, but all of that was worth it!! Yet ANOTHER excellent lunch toady at Jersey Mike's! The foot long Philly Cheese Steak was SUPERB! SO juicy and SO cheesy! The foot long Big Kahuna was exactly that! BIG! Again, SO juicy and SO flavorful! This sub shop is always busy and usually packed. My advice? Order ahead online. Although that technique didn't work well for us today. Their system dumped our to go order and we were forced to drive around for 20 minutes. But, oh well. The prices at JM are higher than most sub shops. I don't know what the total cost was as we ordered for neighbors as well. But, our 12" Philly Cheese and Big Kahuna Steak subs cost a total of $32.00. This is also a clean little shop with polite and friendly staff. If you haven't tried a Jersey Mike's sub yet - think about hitting them up! You won't be disappointed! My only regret? I have been a patron of this establishment for 4 years. Never a problem with food or staff until today. when picking up sandwich cashier could not find my order. I repeated my name 3 times and she looked at me like..what. Young man came over because he knew about my order and handed her my sandwich. All-was fine until a female customer took upon herself to call me a Karen and proceed to verbally abuse me that I was in the wrong. Regrettably no longer a client due to customer abuse. I was upset but that was between me and employee that should not have esc due to customer interaction. I really dig this place. Not only is the staff super friendly, but I haven't walked away with a subpar sandwich yet. I love that they cut the deli meat on the spot, so you don't wind up with any of that not fresh and often funky flavor that you get with some other sub shops. Is this place a little pricier than Subway, which is only about a block away? Yup. But believe me, it's totally worth it. Unfortunately, this place opened up around the time that ART construction came underway, and I have no doubt that it's impacting business. Hopefully this location won't become another establishment that winds up being another ART casualty. So close to my home. I'd only passed by it. I'd tried Jersey Jacks a couple of times but wasn't impressed at all. My partner Max, being a very picky eater, will occasionally crave Subway, which is usually ok by me. A friend that likes this place recommended it, & we grabbed a bite there. I'd ordered the Reuben. It was just what the doctor ordered! I've had few better. I convinced Max to go. He wasn't expecting to like it. He ordered the Tuna (He'll only get Tuna or Turkey at a sub shop. I got what I recall was a chipotle philly. Really tasty...a bit messy though). He said it was much better than Subway's, better bread too. I also have to say that in my 2 experiences, the staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, as well as fast, & patient when answering questions about the menu items. Also great music being played! I came in and noticed there was only one other person in the restaurant. The server behind the counter was getting his online order ready. He said he would be right with me. No problem so far. Before I knew it I was waiting for more than 10 minutes before I could even order. Apparently there were a lot of online orders that night. When I finally get help at the counter I had to repeat my order, hardly got any meat or cheese and the actual size of the sandwich was remarkably smaller than usual. I'm not sure that I'll be back. It's pretty frustrating to order something in advance, pay for it, and what you get isn't even remotely what was ordered. This location has done it several times as well as the Rio Rancho location.
