Dude, they were the size of a baby chicken . There was a man at the counter complaining about the same thing but of course the cashier offered no help but to call for her manager. I knew that was going to be a battle we were not going to win so we just left. So word to the wise if you want wings don't go here.

I went in last Thursday after arriving in Columbus to see my daughter. There was no question about…read morewhat I wanted to eat, but I was skeptical about getting wings because the last two times I was in town and ordered, we were highly disappointed. I called back to the restaurant to complain and the manager on duty took my name and address and said she would mail me a gift certificate for my incomplete and cold order...however, I never received it. Nonetheless, I decided to try again, but this time, when I called in my order, I shared that my past two visits were subpar, and I expected a different outcome this time. Well, I decided to check my food before leaving, and everything was prepared freshly and looked good too. And let me say, my faith has been restored in this Cols Staple. I guess I just need to make sure I specify that I expect fresh food and my complete order every time, lol.

I visited Midland Commons with my sister and our two young boys (ages 2 and 5) yesterday so they…read morecould safely play in the grass area. We grabbed food from Tommy G's and intentionally chose a table in the center area, under the tent, so we could actively watch them as they ran back and forth to eat. Almost an hour after sitting down, a manager from BMerrells (Sylvia) approached us and told us the table "belonged" to their restaurant and that we needed to move. That would have been easier to respect if there were any signage or indication of reserved seating, but there wasn't. Not only that, we were not near their entrance. We were in the middle of a space literally called "Commons." As parents of small children, moving further away from the grass area wasn't just inconvenient. It was an unrealistic risk to our children's safety. When my sister asked for a menu, Sylvia said yes, but instead of returning herself, she went inside and sent a server out. That alone set the tone. We went ahead and ordered the drink of the month and chicken tenders. The wait was long enough that I considered canceling the order entirely, and when the food finally arrived, it did not justify the delay. The tenders looked and tasted like something straight out of the frozen aisle. What's most disappointing is that this entire situation could have been handled differently. A simple, respectful explanation or even visible signage would have gone a long way. Instead, the approach felt dismissive and unnecessarily territorial over a shared public space. If tables are exclusive to BMerrells, that needs to be clearly communicated. Otherwise, don't create tension in a family-friendly environment where people are simply trying to enjoy the space, especially when children are involved. This was my first experience with BMerrells, and it will absolutely be my last. I'll also be following up with property management, because there's a way to handle situations like this and this wasn't it.

The place was apparently sold and caters to a ... different ... demographic now. It seriously was like feeding time at the zoo. Any conversation was impossible. Even our server, when she wasn't busy shucking and jiving with other party animals, couldn't hear when we placed our pretty simple food and beverage order. Very frustrating, and a sign of things to come. The smell of marijuana in the parking lot should have tipped us off. No drinks appeared after 15 minutes. Finally three of the four drinks arrived. The first food arrived 26 minutes later ... but only two of our four orders. Eleven more minutes passed, no food, at which point we walked out. The sheer "din" of the noise was painful. People were screaming to be heard in conversation. We couldn't take it. We paid and left. And the cashier person (I hope it was a cashier) thought it was funny. It wasn't. I should have read the current Yelp and Google reviews before choosing this place. Disaster! RIP, Wild Wings. Enjoy that new demographic.
